Speedys Burgerbar & Cafe in Eastleigh

I was in Chandlers Ford for a business meeting went to board the bus / cafe in took one look at how filthy it was (dusty and dirty) told my business partner we are not eating from this. How have food and hygiene dept not shut this down, disgusting... Would sooner eat grass

Tasteless burger, but at least it was freshly cooked. Good service and conversation ok if you are into trucks and trucking.

Tend to get the half baguette with all day breakfast and extras but have also had the steak rolls and double burgers and they are all excellent. Thoroughly recommended

You'll not be hungry or unsatisfied if your wanting something to eat. Great service and value for money and the fresh bread rolls are a nice touch. Highly recommend

After hearing many good comments from other drivers about how good his place is I have finally tried it myself today! I can honestly say my only regret is that I didn’t try it sooner! As the title states it is by no means an exaggeration when I say it was the best burger I have had in many years!! Very friendly and helpful service. Also good value too! Can’t wait to come back!!! @speedys, you couldn’t go and see micks monster burgers and show them what a proper burger is meant to taste like?? 😉

It is certainly unusual. The guys were friendly and their service was quick. Shame they ran out of mushrooms. My burger was unexciting, but I would be happy to eat there again if I was in the neighbourhood and sufficiently hungry.

Sorry the photos have bites missing but the food smelled so good we had started eating before I thought to take pictures. Friendly staff, food cooked to order (and requirements). If you want crispy bacon just let them know, if you want extras on your order just ask. Very tasty thick bacon, good quality sausages, perfectly cooked mushrooms, nice sauces too. Large portions served, no skimping here. What a hidden gem. Fresh bread, and all food served piping hot straight off the grill, delicious! Nice to be able to sit in the bus to eat. Plenty of spaces to park nearby if you visit by car. Good to see staff being careful with hygiene. Even the tables, chairs and floor were spotless. I don't know how they manage to serve such good quality food for the low prices they charge but I'm glad they do. We'll certainly be back. I didn't expect to review a burger van ever, but this one deserves it, better quality here than in some local restaurants, and certainly value for money. Feel free to pop your change in the charity box they have (Naomi House), lovely they support local charities.

Just had the misfortune to get a burger from Speedy’s. They are too speedy to wash their hands after handling raw meat and money. He put three rashers of bacon on the griddle before wrapping my burger. I’ve had to chuck it straight in the bin. Just wipes his raw meat hands on his dirty jumper. If you don’t want to get Ill I’d avoid this place. Shame after reading all the good reviews

I think the bus is such a great idea, the cafe is wonderful quality and provides a good variety of food and drinks always made well and served with a smile.

Feeling peckish , I dropped by and was most surprised to see such a well kitted out bus. A spacious dining area with a fabulous kitchen area. Lee soon engaged me in conversation and told me about the conversion as well as pros and cons of his business. Most importantly he supplied a damn good egg and bacon butty with a steaming mug of tea so thank you. I promised him I would post a review which I particularly like doing for first class places. I dined last night in Southampton at Trip Advisors #1 restaurant in town and this in a different way was a just as enjoyable experience. Thank you

I cannot speak highly enough of these lovely guys that run Speedys. We took 8 boys in and a handful of adults for a burger before heading for Flip Out (which is a 30 second walk away) and they were utterly wonderful guys. The food is absolutely delicious, lovely buns, tasty burgers and lovely egg and bacon baps - exactly what you want on a cold grey day. It’s warm, homely and friendly in there and as I’d called up beforehand to check it was ok for 12 of us to turn out for my sons birthday he gave all the kids (and adults!) a free bar of chocolate before we left!!!! If you are going to Flip Out I urge you to have your lunch here as these guys so deserve your custom.

Huge breakfast rolls, we both had the double decker rolls and were almost too much to ear. Great cup of tea and great set up including kitchen at the back of a single decker bus kitted out with seats, TV Internet etc. Future plans to have a double decker too.

Took the kids in for a sausage bap, they managed to eat it all, and the guy gave them a caramel bar for being so good. Good food, even better prices. Don't be scared to take kids in, really friendly.

Literally obsessed with Speedys burgers. Originally recommended by a family member as a one off hangover cure, it then became a huge player in the office ‘fat Friday’ location and now I find myself just choking on a huge burger on a Tuesday.

From the moment I contacted Speedys to see if we could hire the bus after a kids trampolining party, the whole experience was fantastic. We chose from the cafe menu and the kids and adults really enjoyed the generous burgers and had such fun in the bus! Was great to be able to decorate the bus and bring our own cake which Lee very kindly cut and served for us. Would wholeheartedly recommend and will be booking again in the future. Thanks so much!

This is a great place for a kids birthday tea. The kids enjoyed pre-ordering their burgers or baps from a good range of choices (including vegetarian) and loved the food - empty plates all round! Lee was really helpful and accommodating, happy to have the bus decorated with balloons and bunting, and for us to bring along our own music. We’d definitely do this again!

I work locally so use Speedy most weeks. The food is spot on and great value. His bacon baps are full to bursting.

Go to Speedys regularly, better than any cafe in the area. Owner is extremely friendly and his food is second to none! Must visit!!

Every time I've visited which is becoming often, I've been greeted amazingly by the owner and always have a good conversation. The food is always on point with breakfast wrap being my favourite to enjoy in their relaxed environment.

Go to speedys every week. Good honest food, well priced. Top bloke Lee cooking the food, friendly and polite. Would highly recommend to anyone 👍

Have been eating here for the last couple of months at least 3 times a week, always good friendly service great food, good value, good banter.

Speedys bus is a good place to go for a cup of tea and a bacon butty. The owner is very friendly and even the dog got a free sausage. Its very handy if you work in the industrial estate and we didn't have to buy a ticket!!

We have been eating at Speedy's for several years. We like the food and the service so much that I have set a chapter of my second novel " .....watching people cry" in Lea's cafe.. My three main characters visit the bus for lunch. The food is top quality and cooked freshly for you. We keep going back for more ...... (P.S. My book will be out at Easter).

I have been to Speedy Lee's Burgerbar & Cafe from when it first opened and will continue to go there whenever i need a delicious burger. The menu is surprisingly big and there is a lot to choose from. There is also cold and hot drinks at good prices. As well as a wide choice of burgers, bap, etc, you also have a wide selection of sauces that you can purchase from Speedy Lee at a good price.

I've Been here a few times and have found the food to be great , the staff are good too , 5 stars from me

Stopped for breakfast here a few times now, sometimes with my wife and children and sometimes alone, always great food, good value and he always makes a fuss of the kids and makes them feel special, which is why it’s become their new favourite breakfast stop, being able to eat on the bus excites them too!!

I’m here at least 2 times a week for what I consider the best burger about! Working only 3 miles away it so worth going compared to your usual burger bar/cafe’s, absolutely love this place and the chef is a great fella, always spotless till I get there!
