Really pleasant lunch, coffee very good and the food was excellent.

The new owner has transformed the place, it looks so much better. I went in for lunch and was treated great by the staff. Very clean and tidy too. So much on offer and would recommend going in and having something to eat.

One of our favourites in Eastleigh. I am disabled in a wheelchair. A little tight but not a problem. The food is very good. Service excellent and very efficient. My wife is vegan but they have things she can eat.

Had lunch here this week with a friend. A little gem in Eastleigh. Great coffee and our wrap and toastie were delicious and prepared fresh to order. Plus the new manager gave us some free samples of their cakes to try - wow! Taste sensation. I will definitely be returning.

I am a regular customer who visits obriens at least 3x a week with either my mum, Nan and friend. We never go anywhere else. Tasty reasonably priced coffee and the staff are just super friendly who can’t do enough for you. Considering there are only 2 people working there who never seem to have a break, the food and coffee is always hot and we’re never waiting long! The 2 staff members are always friendly, always chat, always say hi to my 2 young children, and are always busy either table waiting, serving at the till, washing up behind, making the food and coffee or cleaning the tables. The shop floor is always clean as are the toilets. The only little moan I have is that I like to sit outside and when it is drizzling I sometimes have to hurry my coffee and leave due to the canopy being broken the last couple of years. ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My partner and I visit OBriens Eastleigh every weekend for lunch before continuing with our day. It has become something we look forward to throughout the week. The food is made to order, so its tasty and fresh, the staff are lovely, very accommodating if you go off-menu, and it's a little haven in the middle of town. The number of satisfied customers saying 'thank you' and 'see you next week' to the friendly staff behind the counter as they leave speaks for itself! Can't recommend it enough x

Popped in this morning out of the rain, had a lovely coffee and a delicious bacon and cheddar toastie for a late breakfast/brunch! Quick and excellent service, and all appropriately distanced, felt very safe! :)

Excellent food and the best coffee. I always go there when in town. I believe with current restrictions they are closed Sunday and Monday

Had a nice tasty latte and a tasty baguete for a mid morning snack. Staff welcoming and polite. Prices reasonable. Cafe very clean and odour free

I stopped off for coffee and cake with my daughter and found the woman behind the counter to be very unhelpful due to my lack of knowledge about the various coffees. I just wanted a standard coffee to which she replied ‘they’re all standard’. The vanilla slice was pretty tasteless. Lots of better places to eat in Eastleigh

For the first time ever in our lives in any cafe , we were asked to pay extra to have the use of a teapot when we ordered tea . When we asked for extra hot water that was rudely refused . Again another first in our experience . We shall never use O’Briens again when we visit Eastleigh . There are other cafes nearby !

We always visit here regularly when in Eastleigh, and have never been disappointed. Food is varied, and I love their jacket potatoes which come with a nice side salad. Staff are friendly, service good, and cafe is always very clean. A nice place to stop for a short break whilst shopping.

Went here for breakfast and asked could they provide gluten free bread (I have coeliac disease). They said yes so I ordered avocado and poached egg with gluten free toast. I watched the server write gluten free down. Half way through my food I noticed that my toast looked exactly the same as my friends normal toast. When asked if mine was gluten free they said no. What was really disappointing is that there was no proper apology and they clearly didn’t grasp the severity of the situation.

First time visitors to Eastleigh. Me and hubby around the area to attend a Family Wedding a short distance away. Needed a hot breakfast earlier than 9am (which was the opening time available to our closest eatery. Glad we Googled and found Obrien’s. Open early, good varied interesting choice of menu. We opted for Poached Egg on Toast with Bacon and a Flat White each. The Coffee was utterly delicious and the breakfast very tasty. Would highly recommend

I ordered scrambled egg on toast. And it was awful. The egg tasted weird and it was full of fat. The flat white had a bitter taste andto top thatlotthe lady who served me was miserable and couldn’t even manage a smile.

Staff were blank and not particularly friendly, food arrived very quickly... too quick to be cooked fresh! I had a breakfast and It was nicely presented but the sausage was barely Luke warm, the bacon was also borderline cold and dry and I had to scrape literally half the egg away as it was undercooked and snotty.

A lovely little spot for some lunch - friendly service and love that the food is made to order... They happily cater to your requests. Fresh and tasty home made food at a decent price.

A very nice cosy cafe, right in the centre of town. Food really good and arrived super fast with loads of options available. I would have given 5*, but the downside is the miserable lady behind the counter...never a hello or a smile from her, despite being a regular customer. I shall still give them my custom regardless, as the rest of the staff are friendly.

Freshly made breakfast to order. Good food. Free parking on Sunday in high street. Papers to read while we waited for breakfast to be cooked. Very quick.

We meet up each week for a coffee and a chat. The staff are always helpful and obliging, and your order is brought to the table. A little round chocolate accompanies the hot drinks. They have a card which is stamped each time you have a hot drink, which is a good idea, especially when meeting up there every week!

We live in Eastleigh and have tried most breakfast venues. We like to eat well and disinterested in a fry up. O'briens offer smoothies, scrambled egg, Avocado, great tasting coffee. And a coffee loyalty card system too. It's never too overcrowded or loud. We love a relaxed weekend breakfast there.

Found this establishment on a visit to Eastleigh. Highly recommended. Staff helpful, good food and kept clean. Wish i didnt live 160 miles away as i would be a frequent visitor

Have never really thought to pop in here and when I did was pleasantly surprised. Nice sandwiches, and very good portions, and a decent range of drinks all backed up with cheery service. Nothing not to like here.

Prices reasonable but customer service needs some improving. Went in and waited at least 5minutes to be acknowledged.

Whenever we go to the nearby cinema in Eastleigh, we try to visit this cafe either for breakfast or coffee afterwards. The staff here are always friendly and helpful, and the food they serve has never failed to please us. They also do a loyalty card service, with a free hot drink when the card is full. If you're in town, and have time to spare, then drop in and I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

One of the best eating places in Eastleigh. No greasy spoon (cafe) with broken chairs and unwired tables. This place is always clean, the staff offer to assist with choosing something to eat and food and drinks and good portions. Clean, tidy and not expensive. Pop in whenever we do go to Eastleigh around lunchtimes. Kids size portions available to.

Had breakfast here after flying in to Southampton at 07h30. We all had the full breakfast which was well presented on toast, with the beans in a small bowel. It took quite a while for our drinks to be served and my expresso was competely lost in the large cup it was served in.

Always head to Obriens when we are in Eastleigh. Very Friendly, best Food and Coffee in Town. Just had the best Jacket potato ever. Highly recommended. :-)

Popped in here for a quick lunch. Menu looked good and liked that you can see them making the food. Coffee was good and so was the sandwich. Just a pity it didn't come with any garnish or crisps or something which, considering the price, I was sort of expecting. Also, as it was quiet the staff/owners sat at a table having a break but just didn't feel right. Not sure if I'll be back.

Popped in today just for a coffee. Clean and Friendly and polite staff, good size reg coffee and hot.(some places you go the coffee is not hot enough). Looked at menu large selection of wraps/samdwiches/panini and cakes.

Freshly cooked, delicious food. You can see a them preparing your food. I had American pankakes with maple syrup on the first day, it was so good that I decided to come back for avocado on toast and poached eggs. Although coffee needs a bit improvement. I would gladly come back.

Good place to go if you want a fresh healthy breakfast/lunch for a reasonable price. Staff always friendly. The only thing I would say is that they could add some salad or a few crisps on the plate to go with the sandwich, otherwise great.

We often come to Obriens for lunch. The food is fresh and healthy and the staff are always friendly and accommodating. Definitely recommend popping in for coffee and a wrap!

I visit Obriens almost every weekend. The staff are so friendly, the food is freshly made and they even remember how I like my cup of tea or hot chocolate. I can highly recommend Obriens.

An unschedualed stop as we promised our little boy some pancakes fo breakfast as a treat but the place we wanted to go was closed. Very cramped inside;everytime someone opened the door I had the door handle in my face! Poached egg on toast, sausage "toastie" (really a sausage sandwich made with toast), and three pancakes served with a few slices of banana and a pot of maple syrup. With this we asked for a fruit shoot, cup of tea and a diet coke. It cost just short of £17. Really not worth it. There are better places that are much better value. This was our first time in here and we will not be returning.

A gem of a cafe. Table service, that makes life easy for us poor old soles when wishing to 'take coffee' on the outside tables in order to watch the world go by-with a cigarette! The owners and the girls that provide the service are very pleasant and will go out of their way to make a visit welcome. The Ham & Cheese Toasties are magic.

Lunchtime visit with my youngest daughter, looking for something other than the usual fast food for a quick lunch. Smallish place just outside the Swan Centre, offering a variety of sandwiches, toasties, panini, baked potatoes etc. Ordered a small baked potato for my daughter and Brie & ham toastie for myself. Service was very friendly and quick, just what we wanted. Baked potato was a lot larger than expected with plenty of cheese & beans, very tasty but she couldn't eat it all. My toastie was good, plenty of filling and very tasty. Good value, good service and good food - will definitely be back.

Went for a late lunch rather than use a chain coffee franchise. So glad we did. Excellent choice of sandwiches and light lunches, including a very good selection of vegan and vegetarian food. The coffee was also good. Highly recommended. The bean burrito was just the right spiciness.

I go in here regulary with my partner and daughter, have to say the food is always tasty espcially the ham and cheese club :)The service is fantastic as its family owned they have time most days when they are not really busy to have a chat.Definately the best eating place in eastleigh..as im local believe me ive tried them all.

We went into this cafe today for a quick sandwich and coffee. Won't be going back! I placed our order at the counter and not once did I get so much as a smile from those behind the counter. Ok - no worries. Our order was bought to our table but I noticed that the plate of food was not as shown on their menu - ie no garnish of crisps. Made a comment about this to the guy delivering the food and he got quite annoyed and said that the food isn't like those on the menu! Why advertise that if that is not what you are getting - surely that is going against trade description. The man really was extremely rude to the point of aggressive and started taking the food and drinks away saying as we aren't happy he'd take it back!! I pulled the plates away from him and said we would eat the food we had ordered and paid for and then told him to take his tray and go away. We have never experienced anyone so rude and aggressive anywhere ever. Have to say the food we ordered was really nice - even without the crisps- but will we ever go there again? Not unless he leaves. This man really needs a course is customer service. Food we give 4 stars - customer service nil pointe

Absolutely shocking customer service! I asked a question and the young girl who served me looked at me like an alien and sarcastically gave me an answer. This was my first visit, but will also be my last!!!

I have visited Obriens so many times to grab a great takeaway lunch and have always enjoyed it. I recommend the super green wraps!

O'briens is a lovely Café, with great Staff and a good selection of Sandwichs and snacks, the staff will make the coffee stronger or weaker depending on your taste, great little café with a lovely atmosphere

I've been going here for a couple of weeks and they offer a good range of gluten free sandwiches which is fairly uncommon.

Popped into Eastleigh looking for a quick lunch, but as we were a little late there seemed to be a shortage of sandwiches in the usual haunts. So we tried O'Briens. Fantastic freshly made chicken club sandwich and a good coffee. Loved it. If you want a sandwich, burrito, wrap, jacket potato etc. try this place, it is really good.

I've always been treated well here, it's not a large place but as long as you can find a seat it is well worth stopping for a light meal.Service with a smile, from staff who obviously care about looking after their customers and maintaining a high standard of service.It only failed to get five stars due to the space problem and a limited menu, it's perfectly fine for a coffee shop but not quite up to restaurant level.

Every time we visit this family owned and run coffee shop we are never disappointed.....we've been supporting them since they opened.We are always greeted either verbally or with a head nod/smile depending on how busy they are and always made to feel welcome.We rarely deviate from our usual order so they now and remember our likes and dislikes.Everything is made fresh to order so you may need to be patient if it's a little busy.The tables are always clean/cleared very quickly once customers have left and everywhere is tidy.The toilet has the usual facilities including disabled ones and is always clean.

A lovely clean cafe with large windows to view the activity of Eastleigh shoppers. Friendly staff who cannot do enough for you and food freshly prepared to order. Today's carrot cake was excellent and the accompanying cappuccino were better than costas. A regular stop of mine, which I thoroughly recommend.

A very friendly independent coffee shop and sandwich bar, also offering snacks such as baked potatoes. The baguettes are fresh, the fillings likewise. They offer a set menu, and of course you can select your own combination of fillings to make your own delight. They offer sandwiches, baguettes, paninis and toasted sandwiches at reasonable prices. Hot drinks are supplied in a choice of three sizes, the regular being rather large! They have outside tables for smokers, or inside tables, some of which are typically for Eastleigh supplied with comfortable sofa-like chairs, ideal for an afternoon tea and a lounge with the paper!After ordering at the counter your food and drinks are brought to your table. Hot drinks are accompanied by an Elizabeth Shaw style mint chocolate, which is a nice touch, but remove it from your saucer or it will be melted by the time you finish your drink!Prices are typical of competitors such as Costa or Nero, but this is an independent making it much more desirable to the ethical diner.
