I have e been meeting old friends in this restaurant for over 30 years! The staff changes but the food doesn't. Consistently good, well presented and always very friendly staff. What more could you want. Very near Holborn tube so accessible to Oxford Street etc. without all the crowds. Would recommend.

Good location near NYX Hotel, good prices, very friendly, attentive service. We had meatballs and spaghetti with tomato sauce. I found the flavours a little bland, but I’m an international visitor so it might be a difference in cultural preferences.

My “stag night” was here in August 1974. We celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary this month, so Spaghetti House did something right 😀

Delicious restaurant, I recommend! We were very well received, the dishes are excellent and the atmosphere is perfect. The staff is very warm and attentive to the customer. Very friendly place which fully deserves this rating.

We came in around 9pm and asked if we could just have desserts, which they were okay with. The desserts were fine. But the staff were so miserable and unfriendly. It was off-putting. The worst was the guy at the end who came to take our payment with the machine. It left me in a negative mood.

We were greeted by friendly staff who were very polite. The food was delicious, I had the Spaghetti carbonara and my partner had the Gluten free penne with Bolognese. We enjoyed sitting outside despite the various sounds of London, which were expected. One thing that I would enjoy to see is a wider range of gluten free pasta options. Apart from that, the experience was great.

Tonight, I went to eat dinner here with my family. The service was the nicest people ever, and the food was done quickly. The atmosphere was wonderful, and the food was so good! Everyone loved it, and we finished everything, of course. I'm really grateful for people like you working here, 5 stars it is!!

What a great restaurant. The staff was wonderful. Service was amazing. They were very welcoming, observant, and attentive. I have a nightshade allergy and they were very thorough and accommodating. The food was incredible. Their Sicilian lemonade was the best lemonade I have ever had so I had to have a second one. My mother got a little sauce on her outfit; they noticed immediately and brought over wipes that would get it out before the stain sets. Highly recommend.

What a wonderful find. A genuine gem of a proper, unpretentious Italian restaurant that cares about customers, serving fabulous food, has a good range of well selected wines rather than the time many London restaurants have, great prices for both - but most of all wonderful, professional yet friendly service. If I was lucky enough to live in London, I would be a regular. But if you are visiting, it’s worth going. I had the baked salmon with lentil and veg stew - delicate flavours, cooked to perfection and brought to the table hot! My daughter has some complex food allergies which they handled very well and she was delighted with her Caesar salad, no dressing and grilled salmon that met all her requirements. We had a lovely time and went back to our hotel with a big smile and feeling good! A must go to establishment in Holborn area.

This is a lovely restaurant where you can eat outside in a busy area but tucked away alongside a lovely quiet pedestrian street. The staff are attentive and friendly and the food is great. A great place to spend a relaxing evening with a really pleasant atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Caprese salad and calamari are very good! Try to ask for the marble tables by the entrance windows when making a reservation. Only thing is that the bathroom downstairs can definitely do with a refurbishment.

An oldie but goodie. Perfectly al dente pasta and a generous portion.

This was an old haunt of some years ago. Just wanted a simple lunch and ordered lasagne. Looked ok when it arrived but it was cold in the middle. The same applied to my wife's lasagne. Waitress apologised and sent ack to kitchen to microwave. I guess the chef was not happy with my complaint and when it was brought back it been microwaved to within an inch of it's life! It took an age for the sizzling to stop and revealed a sloppy mess. I did not eat another mouthful. Ultimately I was not charged for my meal but I still had to pay for my wife's meal who had also received the same sloppy. I have some great memories of this restaurant but this visit was truly awful and will certainly be my last visit. 😫

Food was delicious and staff weren’t bad apart from the one woman who I assume was the host. We walked in a she looked at us like we were filth. She didn’t have anything to say and was rushing us whilst we were trying to order when there were about 5 people in the restaurant in total. I had asked to sit outside and she said “you lead the way then.” The man who brought our food to us was very nice, didn’t see his name but he was dressed in all black.

Another very nice Spaghetti House branch. Excellent pizza with a flavoursome, slightly sour base which was fresh with a satisfying texture (I finished the whole thing), side of broccoli perfectly cooked and the salad was well-dressed and presented too. We really liked the Montepulciano and enjoyed a chat with the lovely staff too. Look forward to visiting again soon!

The service was very nice, smiling and helpful. Tasty, but without fireworks. Spaghetti bolognese and lasagne correct. Salad - definitely too much vinegar. And it wasn't a salad from Austrian Tyrol, where vinegar is like olive oil 😂 To sum up, lovers of Italian cuisine may be slightly disappointed. Saved the tiramisu - first class! Yum 👍 The final bill was surprising, with a service charge of about 13% - a lot compared to other restaurants in London, including Italian ones. Especially since we were a family of 3, not a group of 10 😉 Cool place with an atmosphere and good music in the background. It would probably be good to go back there after some time and try other items from the menu...

Affordable, delicious pasta restaurant with great beer. The dining environment is simple, and small restaurants in London are usually not big.

Good was average but service was very good.

The food is great if à little expensive these days. The service is not particularly great and definitely not worth the 13.5% service charge they put on the bill. This is optional and you can ask for the bill without this on. They might pull a face but I don't like being told what I should give them as a tip. The general rule of thumb is 10% of the bill and if the prices have gone up then the tips will have gone up. Still me and hubby keep going back (fir the last 25 years) and my hubby as a young one used to go there. So, for about 40 years. Shame the staff are not what they used to be, but it's a small thing. We had one course each and it cost over £50inc the service charge and we only had water to drink.

Authentic Italian restaurant in a convenient location. Good range of food, well cooked, and fair prices. There is a 13.5% tip automatically added to the bill though. Would recommend booking as it does get busy. We were a party of 6 and had booked but doubt we would have got seated if we hadn't.

Very nice place. I am surprised I have only discovered it now! Great location and many available tables. But the food.. food was really nice. Pasta was just cooked right! Fast service, wish it was more with a smile ;) great tiramisu. I will definitely be coming back.

First of all, the atmosphere is light and fun and the waiters paid good attention to us and were happy to answer questions. The menu was clearly marked with a number of vegan and vegetarian options. Popped in for a quick bite to eat with my daughter. The service was very quick and friendly. We both had pasta mains that arrived promptly and unusually for a lot of pasta courses, piping hot in warm bowls. Truly excellent food, will make it a regular place for us to meet up. Nice wine selection for me to work through too 😉

Delicious food and friendly service. Went for the traditionals (minestrone, carbonara, bolognese, tirimasu) not because we aren't adventurous, but because we wanted to see how they should be. We were not disappointed!

The most delicious Italian I have had in a long while. Being a vegetarian, I had ordered Ravioli and Caesar Salad- the crispiest of salad- every bite was worth it. The look of the place is slightly old school- but definitely worth a visit. The staff was professional and courteous.

Went mid-afternoon, so I can't really comment on the atmosphere as it was fairly empty. But we were warmly welcomed and attended to and the whole party of 5 were more than happy with the selection and quality of food. In fact, some classed it as exceptional.

Delighted that this lovely restaurant once more deserves a glowing review - it's been a few years (thanks to the pandemic) since I have eaten here but on this year's pre festive season London visit with a friend, given our favourite area to stay is Bloomsbury, we decided to have an early dinner here last Thursday evening after a very long day, given our flight left Aberdeen at 6:05am! Food & service both excellent, & all the people we encountered were charming, friendly, polite & efficient. Definitely on our 'will eat here again next London visit' list - thank you to everyone who made our time here such fun.

That s an Italian restaurant with english cooking.. we didn’t enjoy our Christmas din’er but we paid a lot. I have stomachache now. The waiter was really kind otherwise.

Nice, decent, straight up Italian food. It took them something like 3 minutes to serve our order, still wondering how is that humanly possible. Will definitely prefer as it suits fine location wise.

Food was delicious. Service and staff were brilliant. One of our party has an intolerance to a certain food, they were so helpful and made sure the food was safe for my friend. I would definitely go again.

As a family we have used Spaghetti House for over 30 years, our favourite being Sicilian Avenue. We travelled up from Kent and my daughter and husband had come from Devon. Sadly I found the food overpriced and disappointing. The amount of ravioli served was about half of that shown in the picture, the penne was hard and undercooked which was a shame as the sauce (a la Norma) was delicious. The pizza was pronounced very good. Coffee order was taken with the desert order and arrived before the deserts. I had the softest apple pie, served room temperature with ice cream and my husband's chocolate cake seemed to arrive as an after thought long after the rest of the deserts. Will we be back? Unlikely. I had an very enjoyable meal since then in Pizza Express!

Pity that the place is blighted by building work all around at the moment. The sounds of power tools penetrate the restaurant and must irritate the staff. That aside my spaghetti al pomodoro was tasty and a generous portion. One can also order a basket of traditional breads. Olive oil and balsamic vinegar are brought to the table.

Fancied some Italian food so tried this long established venue, disappointing to find the iconic Sicilian Avenue was blocked and a building site. Visited on a Saturday night it was surprisingly quiet with no atmosphere, We had garlic bread and prawns for starters, they were ok but just 3 large prawns. Followed by a disappointing lasagna for my husband, my Amatriciana pasta was tasty but pasta a bit firm. With a glass of wine each bill came to £88 which included a 13.5% charge, way too much. We left a tip but removed the included charge.

Un ristorante che predilige il cibo inglese, "se vuoi mangiare bene" come afferma il suo proprietario, un italiano della Calabria. Ma anche un piatto di spaghetti godibili quando la voglia di pasta si fa sentire. Nel complesso più che sufficiente. No pizza.

I don't recommend to go. Place is very smelly with strong cooking smells. The pasta is just 'good enough', the type of pasta I could easily cook myself at home.

Volvimos a este buen lugar. Apenas dijimos que volvíamos al lugar de pastas, Lucy salió disparada de la habitación del hotel… solo para caminar a su paso apurado para el lado contrario 🤣. Era al revés Lucy! Esta hermana pasó de ser inapetente a ser una hermana con súper hambre ávida de pasta a la carbonara. Se comió todo el plato en 2 segundos, impresionante. Ahora está en modo zombie apenas habla por la digestión, pero creo que valió la pena. Animo que ya volvemos al hotel hermana con hambre! Pedí un affogato muy rico también. Buen lugar

Wer in London ist, sollte unbedingt hier essen gehen. Wir waren zwei mal in unserem Urlaub hier und es war einfach nur spitze. Meine aller größte Empfehlung.

Very good range of pizza and pasta dishes, cater well for vegetarians and vegans. All three of us very pleased with our meals.

Don't be fooled by the simple, basic décor. The pasta here is incredible! Like being back in Italy and extremely quick. Not the most comfortable restaurant and drinks could be improved but if you crave spaghetti then this is the place to go!!

Fabulous food, quick and very efficient service, lovely atmosphere sitting outside enjoying our meal with family.

There was polar opposites within the customer service here. Greeted by a lovely supervisor, served by an awful large man who communicated in grunts and eye rolls. When we arrived we was welcomed to a warm welcome and to choose a table of our choice by the supervisor, we then was confronted by the waiter who argued we should of waited to be seated. When asking if he wanted us to provide our drink or food order, he just grunted and rolled his eyes. The food although great quality was sort of slapped onto the table with a grunt by him. Will definitely be revisiting but at a different location.

Had a great dinner last night! The food was much better than I had expected...Italian food in London??? It was some of the best pasta I've had! Had antipasti to start, which had a great sampling of salami and cheese, vegetables and olives. All of our pasta dishes were spectacular...cabonara, lasagna and tagliatelle. Wait staff were also great. Lots of fun and great food! Highly recommend

The key to excellent customer service is treating every customer like a VIP - treating them like you want their custom and money.. something the fell pretty flat on its face at this Spaghetti House. Our greeting was a grunt, and when we asked to order drinks first, the eye roll we were giving was so big it nearly rolled us back to the 1960’s. Morale of the story is, if you don’t like people, or don’t want to offer customer service, don’t work in hospitality. Now, onto the food. The food was of a very good standard, and arrived efficiently - the bill wasn’t too shabby for the food received, however, the customer service should really be worked on. Wouldn’t return to this specific franchise based on the experience, but would try others.

I got served one of the freshest and juiciest salads I had ever had. The pizza was equally delicious. The ambience is good, but nevertheless I don’t know why they didn’t let us sit outside to enjoy an English summer breeze!

Excellent, simple and straight to the point solod and tasty Italian food! We had Tagliatelle Bolognese (my 14yr old daughter loved it!), I had the Diavola pizza (perfectly hot!), my wife had the Lasagne, which she really liked. Recommended!

Very good Italian food, I've had slightly better, but for a cosy straight forward Italian street restaurant, this was good. Family of three were served quick and politely, food was very fast! The Lasagna was excellent, Tagliatelle Bolognese was good, and the Diavola pizza was fine too. A bit of a "squeeze"/tight fit for our daughters wheelchair, but all in all a very pleasant place. Recommended!

The food and the service are terrible. I don't know how these guys can call this Italian food. The meatballs were horrible. What kind of meat are they using? They were gross and a tiny portion of spaghetti came with them. Also, we asked our waiter for bread and he disappeared - we never got water either. Save your money and go somewhere else.

We enjoyed a delicious meal here. We all highly recommend each of the dishes we had - bruschetta, spaghetti carbonara, spaghetti and meatballs, penne arrabiata and gorgonzola pizza. Service was quick and staff were friendly without being overbearing. Thank you for a nice evening out!

Went to spaghetti House Holborn London, they don’t take cash. They only accept card. Where has the customer choice gone to?!?!?! I will not return until they sort out this problem. Food was good.

I wouldn’t let my dog eat at this place. It started off with a dirty plate and went all downhill from there. The meatballs were clearly frozen and reheated as the centre was still hard and cold. The pasta also didn’t taste right and the sauce for the bolognaise was so bland. I wouldn’t recommend this place even if I was dying of hunger, nonna would not be proud.

What a lovely restaurant with a great atmosphere. I had the carbonara and it was the most delicious carbonara I’ve ever had. Close to Holborn Tube Station the location is great. The staff were very friendly and helpful. This was my first time here but it went be my last.

Visiting from U.S. and was looking for dinner nearby our hotel. The menu looked good and it was close so we gave it a try. The food was amazing! Some in our group had pasta dishes that they very much enjoyed. I had one of the pizzas and it was delicious! The crust was freshly made. We ended up ordering dinner from here one more before we left the city. Highly recommended!

The best melanzana alla parmigiana I've ever eaten!

Afternoon tea offer after 3pm weekday is really a steal. The crescentine with the dip was great. I like the carbonara and the spaghetti is al dente.

Authentic flavours, elegant presentation, friendly staff, freshly grated parmesan, delicious limoncello to end. This place is hidden around the corner but is so much better than other 'Italian' restaurants, nearby.
