Very overcooked burger and frirs

I’ve tried both smash burgers they have. They are actually very similar, the main issue is HUGE amount of fat dripping from the burger. I like junk food but it was too fatty to eat.

The OG GBK has still got it. Tried the smashed classic (triple) and it was mighty fine. They swapped out american cheese for cheddar at my request and it wasn't a problem. And, adding bacon tóok it to the next level. Paired with chunky chips, onion rings and some coleslaw it was a great feed for 2. For old times sake I was compelled to have a chocolate shake - and it was as good as I remembered (I think I first went to this store back in '07!) [My favourite burger from yesteryear was sadly no longer on the menu - chicken, cranberry and camembert] Service was great - friendly and timely without being intrusive. Really enjoyed a culinary trip down memory lane

Passing, terrace looked lovely & shielded from traffic. Took a punt. Two cheese burgers, one skinny chips, a rosé and a merlot. Service super, burgers v enjoyable, fresh beef tomato, cheddar cheese good (not plastic). Bun good quality as wasctge burger itself. Our server Sagar was charming, attentive, polite, explained how the menu & service had upgraded (I remembered the Belsize Pk branch years ago, pre-paying & queuing - not pleasant). A super lunch, basking on terrace. V impressed with whole upgrade. And Sagar 😅. Good value too. Will return.

I'm just a delivery man who was on my normal work day when a female employee treated me very badly for going into the restaurant to pick up my Uber order. I was very sad about her attitude and treating me so badly.

Despite asking for 2 items (chilli jam and tomato) not to be included on my burger one of them was. What's the point of allowing customers to leave certain things off if the restaurant staff don't read the order properly. They clearly read the order, because they left one of the items off, they just didn't read it properly. Just Eat said they wouldn't do anything, despite having photos of a burger and bun covered in chilli jam.

I don't know whether it was gbk or whether it was just eat, but there was an offer of a free ice cream tub with an order over 30£. unfortunately I did not get that. The food that we got delivered was excellent and on time

The service was great. The burgers and most of the sides too, as well as the strawberry fizz. My friend didn't like the salad. The street is a bit noisy for dinning outside.

Food was good overall its just not 100% the best as onion rings were very oily but i did still enjoy them. The burger was a bit dry but the shakes are out of this world! You have to try them!

These burgers are the best! But it's a tricky balance to be a dine in & take away at the same time. It would be really enjoyable if there weren't that many helmets in the room 🤣

I am sorry to write this, but it seems that only by writing negative public reviews, businesses react and stop making the same mistake. I have been coming to this burger place for years, great staff, but the kitchen gets wrong 1 out of 2 times the beef cooking instructions. Every time I point this out they say 'we will make another one', which means: 1. Wasting food 2. Waiting for another 15min to get served. Sometimes I have visited this place with a friend and I had to wait extra while my friend was eating. If you are a foody and social person, you know that eating at the same time is key to enjoy the food properly. Last night I ordered to take away. I ordered the burger 'medium: pink and juicy'. Well, not to my surprise, I checked the meat once I got my paper bag with my order and the meat was 'well done', almost overcooked. I pointed this out and the staff said the usual 'we'll make another one' to which I answered that I was going to be late if I had to wait again for a burger to be made. I was also offered some onion rings, but no thanks, they are deep fried and doesn't fix the recurrent issue. Moreover, once I got to my friend's place, I noticed that the amount of West Country Cheddar and dill pickle was pretty much unnoticeable. However, there was enough bacon to feed a rugby team. I know this can sound fuzzy to some people, but if this mistake happens 5 times at the same place, one just gives up. I have decided to stop visiting this place. Hope the kitchen team pays more attention to these details.

Great burgers l! I definitely recommend!

Ordered on Deliveroo a plant based burger and was given meat and ate it after not having eaten any for 10 years . I feel genuinely sick. Only option staff gave was for me to order a burger again from them on Deliveroo. Disgraceful. Will never order from them again.

My cheese burger was better than expected

Looking for a good burger in the West Hampstead area, we came across this address and were not disappointed! The burgers are very good, the menu is varied and the service is extremely warm and friendly. We had a great time and recommend this place!

They didn't send my drink and always burn the outside of the patty. I wanted it pink but was overdone and burnt. I won't be ordering again.

Absolutely perfect if you food. The burgers are amazing I never tasted any bugs, better trust me I’ve had a lot of burger in my life. i’ve been here about 100 times now, and I can’t find any place better than this so who ever owns this place. Well done.

I went for an early dinner on a Friday evening after a hectic week. Quiet at that time. Very small branch with limited seats and some outside too. Appears to do a lot of delivery. Clean. Staff were friendly and pleasant, good service but it was just me with a restaurant to myself! I had the Korean BBQ chicken burger which was a chicken breast fried with GBK seasoning, kimchi coleslaw, Korean BBQ sauce, sesame seeds and coriander. Chicken is halal. Sides are not included, so you need to order this separately. I had the sweet potato fries. GBK are one of the few places to do it. So good! The fries came with a complimentary sauce so I chose the tomato relish. Food was divine. Freshly made and well presented. Needed. Portion size is generous. The burger had a little too much BBQ sauce which was overpowering so you couldn't really taste the coleslaw. Very messy to eat. Nice but I wouldn't have that burger again. The fries were so good with the relish. Not cheap at all. Nice for a treat! Not a huge menu or variety but enough. Vegan options too.

Preparing the food and sending it out for delivery took nearly 1 hour. 1 burger was medium as asked for but the other well done. Everything was cold and had to be microwaved. The quality and the wait was definitely not worth over £20 for a burger and chips!

I order via Uber eats and their burgers are literally the best!! Also try the sweet potato fries 🍟

Beware, beware, the chicken is expired, and it has a stinky smell. Today I was in the hospital cleaning my stomach. I waited in the hospital for ten hours.🤮🤮🤢🤢

Was quite disappointed by this GBK in particular. To start the burger was quite burnt on the outside which took away from the taste, it wasn’t just a smoky chargrill taste but burnt. Fries were very mid as well. Milkshakes one was very watery compared to the other. Staff prioritise the deliveroo drivers who were constantly coming in leaving a cold draft at this time of year unfortunately. Altogether the worst GBK I have been to unfortunately!

I made an order at 6pm and my order cane at 8pm and when it came it was freezing and so hard so i did through it away , so so disappointed as also i had to contact costumer service and place that I ordered from as it wasn’t their fault at all , they said that food is ready for long time but there is no delivery driver here . I paid 16£ and i want my full refund for this .

The great was super. I had some issues with my wowcher deal I had bought and redeeming this via the gbk app. Alexandra was amazing she was able to figure it ok and put the order through for us via the app and was able to use the wowcher. Thanks for saving our date night

He gave me the option to choose the degree of doneness of the meat, and it was cooked to perfection, best burger I've ever tried

The Korean chicken burger didn’t look like the picture at all. Looked lame and underfilled. Also the chicken was burned outside but looked red inside. Not tasty. The chips were very soggy. Definitely not worth the £15 plus service charge plus delivery. Food has been coming quite bad in my last deliveries and this was probably the last straw. Not getting from here again

Ordered at 8pm food took over an hour to be delivered very poor and would of ordered elsewhere if l was notified earlier. App just said courier at restaurant for 40 minutes. Not at all informative and not accurate information

Burger wasn't very hot but it was still absolutely excellent. Fries were quite cold. Delivery time kept changing from 9.25pm to eventually 9.45pm but finally arrived at 9.54pm. This place does quality burgers though. The meat is top notch and I love the fact I can have it medium. Very tasty.

I adore GBK! I highly recommend this place. I never get burgers better than i do here even if its at a high end restaurant. However, I am so upset they got rid of the chocolate chips in the chocolate milkshake and the very skinny fries! I hope they bring them back. Don't let that stop you from coming though!

Limited menu but its exactly what the concept is for a "medium posh" burger shop. The burgers are flavourful. Although I noticed some inconsistencies across the same item regarding texture and taste. I guess depending on the Chef but usually always good in different ways. I have had takeaway and eat-in here so I understand both experiences. Cleanliness can be better overall (Toilet, Restaurant floor and cups and cutlery). Staff and Management are great. I had my order mixed up order and the whole order was replaced for free the next time I visited.

I just had the best time in GBK! The cozy atmosphere made me feel right at home, and the staff were incredibly friendly. The food was seriously delicious - each dish had its own special flavor that made me smile with every bite. The service was top-notch too, they really made sure I had everything I needed. Can't wait to go back and enjoy more!

I’ve visited twice and the table service is excellent with really friendly and attentive staff. The burgers and sides are super tasty and served hot. Portion sizes are good. The Oreo and salted-caramel milkshakes are delicious, come x-large size so very filling! Cosy and small venue with an American diner style ambience.

Bleugh. Will never order from here again. Really gone downhill from when it first opened and now they’re trading on the name. Burger was dry, unpleasant to eat, had almost no salad in. Disgusting.

Fries were both burnt and cold, quite the achievement. They also were unseasoned, despite supposedly having Cajun seasoning. Think unseasoned, brown grease-shells. Burger was stone cold.

Smaller portion than remembered and quality isn’t the best, plus I’m sure they got something wrong and scraped it off

We ordered from this place for the first time on Deliveroo. We wanted to love it, but my "well done" patty was black and charred on all sides, and covered in condiments so it was not immediately visible. That patty shouldn't have been served. Bad quality and non existent QA. Avoid.

Had to knock a star off as burger was well done not medium but still quality meat and good taste. Decided to try cheddar this time but prefer American cheese. Couldn't really taste the cheese at all. But overall still a very good burger.

I recently visited GBK with my wife, and unfortunately, our experience was quite disappointing. We arrived at the restaurant approximately 30 minutes before the closing time, as displayed on Google Maps. Upon entering, we were greeted by a friendly and welcoming lady who promptly seated us and handed us the menus. However, our positive expectations were shattered when another employee approached our table and informed us that the restaurant would be closing in just 10 minutes. This sudden change in attitude and tone caught us off guard. Understandably, we considered leaving, given the limited time remaining. When we expressed our intention to leave, the employee urged us to stay and place our order. Unfortunately, his choice of words left a bitter taste in our mouths. He commented that we should "mind the times" before entering a restaurant. This remark was delivered in a condescending manner, implying that we were at fault for not being more aware of the closing time. The encounter left us feeling upset and unwelcome. It's disheartening to receive such discourteous treatment, especially after being warmly received initially. The overall lack of professionalism displayed by this employee tarnished the otherwise pleasant atmosphere of the restaurant. While I cannot comment on the food and service beyond this initial encounter, I believe it's essential for the restaurant management to address these issues. A respectful and accommodating approach towards customers, even during the closing time, would greatly enhance the reputation of the establishment.

Loved their burgers especially blue cheese with chicken panko burger and their oreo milkshake. 😋 I miss their satay burger which is off the menu now hopefully it will be back soon🤩

Exceptionally good burger this time. Absolutely gorgeous and juicy and everything a burger should be. Excellent French fries as well and again I was delighted they had no cajun seasoning as I don't want it. Everything was still hot when it arrived as well. Really enjoyed it.

the man who delivered the milk shakes said he was going back to get me 2 new milkshakes as they spilt in back box , he didn’t end up coming back .. so I didn’t get my milkshakes

I’ve ordered from this branch of GBK before in the past. I usually order the same meal and I was very disappointed by the quality of the Taxidriver burger this time - it was practically inedible. The avocado was brown and stodgy, and I tried to remove this only to realise that I couldn’t differentiate between the avocado and the cheese. It was a gloopy mess and my burger bun was soggy.

That's a burger! Meaty and cheesy and delicious. Was absolutely delighted that my French fries didn't taste of any cajun seasoning because I really didn't want it. Good dose of salt and they were great. Very good!

Food is cold But more importantly- i ordered the fries with the special salt & the chips came plain

Tasty! I had ordered a few sides as they were half price, this turned out to be an epic combo, everything was poifect 🤌 (note - what is in this bowl is only half of each portion, I couldn't fit it all in to 1 bowl)

I found the sauce on the burger too strong and too spicy - I think the sauce should be included on the side as it makes the lettuce soggy.

We really enjoyed our lunch here in this cosy GBK. The best thing though was how happy the two people working there were. So helpful too regarding the menu and intolerances. It's so good to see someone actually enjoying their job.

Most of my order was missing and it ruined my evening! Will not order from here again as it seems that putting things in a bag is too difficult for some people!!

2nd order not as good as the previous.. burgers were tasty but the Loaded burger didn't seem quite as tasty as before. The fries were under-cooked, luke-warm, and the portion size for £4 was abysmal. Not a filling meal for £17 per person.

Happy w/ our first online order! We went to a restaurant years ago but were not impressed and this was our first time since. Both speciality burgers were very tasty! Only thing we're not happy about was the price. For £13 & £14 the burgers are small and not overly filling. Both fries/chips were £4 but were small too. We may order from again on account of taste, but we don't like paying this much for small portions.. Would also be good to order fries without seasoning. I order chunky fries because I didn't want any seasoning on my fries but as it turns out, the french fries my partner ordered didn't even come with seasoning - sods law..

I recently had the pleasure of dining at GBK and it was fantastic! The food was delicious and beautifully presented, and the service was impeccable. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a great dining experience.

Server gave a milkshake 3/4 full and tried to charge the optional service fee and got upset when I asked to take off. She was of Eastern European descent with a poor command of the English language.

Easily my favourite burger place. Good quality meat, cooked to perfection. Their chunky skin on fries are lovely and I highly recommend the milkshakes.
