Lovely evening, I have been dining at the Spaghetti House for 65 years, my parents first went to Goodge Street in 1955 when it opened. It is my go to place when we are in London, I have introduced the children and grand children to this wonderful family experience

Lamentablemente, las comidas no eran deliciosas. Dos de nosotras optamos por el escalope de ternera, decepcionantemente acompañada solo por una ramita no comestible de romero y unas patatas fritas. La carne no solo era dura e insípida, sino que parecía mucho más cerdo que ternera. La pasta era... pasta. No fue nada especial. De hecho, mi marido dice que mi casa - pasta cocida con casa - salsa cocida es en realidad mejor. Como éramos huéspedes esa noche, no nos quejamos. Si hubiéramos estado solos, habría sido otra historia. ¡Qué decepción!

I make a point of dining here whenever I visit London, ever since my first Italian meal at spaghetti house when I was little. After all those years it still continues to impress with excellent food and outstanding family atmosphere. Definitely try the Italian dream cocktail; it’s delicious and alcohol free (great for an early conference start in the morning) Congratulations on your 70th birthday! Here’s to many more!

The waiter named Artur was really friendly, the food was really good, the music and the atmosphere was amazing. I would definetely reccomend it.

We booked for a lunchtime work reunion for 9 people: we had the Sharing menu. It was just perfect. The food was splendid and varied. The service was lovely. We had the first floor to ourselves. Light airy room. I would definitely go again and heartily recommend it.

Restaurant to avoid! We ate a “Cesar salad” two pieces of salad with extra little croutons for chicken or mozzarella. A shame! The word is weak. Salad for 18€ which is not worth 5.

El personal era muy servicial y servicial; éramos un grupo de siete con un perro de asistencia. Se ofreció agua para el perro de inmediato. Nada era demasiado problema; accidentalmente comimos parte de un plato que no habíamos pedido y fue reemplazado sin cargo adicional! Estoy de acuerdo con otro crítico que dijo que el servicio fue atento sin ser intrusivo. La comida era muy sabrosa. Sin duda volvería.

I had lunch here yesterday with an old friend. There was a very tempting lunch menu but we items from the main menu. My pollo alla cacciatore was superb. Beautifully cooked chicken leg in a sauce so rich and full of flavour that I couldn't stop smiling with pleasure. My friend agreed that his chicken alla piastra was equally good. The tasty sautéed potatoes were a perfect accompaniment. We had a lot to catch up on and the staff couldn't have been better: attentive to our needs but happy to let us eat and talk without pressure to move on.

We were looked after brilliantly by Artur and the team. Thanks so much guys. Really wonderful

Been eating at the Goodge Street restaurant probably for 50 years when we're in London. It's always great.

I used to be a regular visitor to the Spaghetti House 40 years ago, So I was a little apprehensive about going back after such a long time. Would the atmosphere be different? Would the quality of the Italian dishes be different? Would the level of service be lower? A resounding no to these questions! Our little party had a very enjoyable evening.

Second year we have organised a dinner for 16 people, confident that all would be well handled.

Came in a group of 8, not one person enjoyed their meal. I got the tagliatelle with sausage and mushroom. The noodles felt like they were cooked previously and then reheated, the ingredients were low quality, and the sauce was too oily and runny. The waiter did not come around once to check up on us; we had to ask him every time to take our orders, to refill water, and to pay. The bill has a mandatory 13.5% "cover charge" that the manager downstairs told me was for "the setup, music, etc" so beware hidden fees when you eat here! The one redeeming quality is the plentiful natural light and street view that the upper floor windows afford. UPDATE: since the restaurant has accused me of lying about coming to this restaurant, I have attached their reply and my receipt to show that I did indeed come here.

Buon compromesso per mangiare italiano all'estero. Noi eravamo in 7, abbiamo preso tagliatelle al ragu (molto buone), pizza e tagliata anche, l'unica pecca sono stati gli spaghetti alla carbonara con troppo pepe e il minestrone (che sarebbe un antipasto) che aveva il curry, ma in questo caso si tratta anche di gusti personali. La cameriera molto gentile (italiana) e il servizio veloce. Avevo prenotato il tavolo sul loro sito e sono stati puntuali. Ci tornerei.

Éramos un grupo de 14 adultos y 4 niños pequeños reunidos para la fiesta de 40 años. We booked in advance, which I think was a good decision because it was busy. I ordered the famous meatballs which I didn't particularly like. They were in a sort of gravy and served with spaghetti in a tomato sauce. I've never had them like that before and wouldn't order again. My daughter had lasagne, which she said was delicious. The staff were quick with service and the restaurant itself was nice.

If you want to really feel in Italy for food and hospitality... Come to the Spaghetti House!

Overpriced, mediocre food. Disappointing customer service. Cold restaurant. Not sure how this place is still in business. This will be our last time visiting this outlet and may not return to any other Spaghetti House outlets in the future.

We were a large group of 27 people, a mix of adults, teens and younger children for lunch on a Sunday after attending a nearby event. Artur, the manager, allocated us the entire top floor so we didn't disturb other diners and was very accommodating with the menu, which we pre-ordered. The food was lovely, and the staff were very attentive. A large party if this size can be difficult however nothing was too much trouble for Artur and his team and we all left well fed and very happy.

This was such a lovely place to have a meal with the gals! The food was so yum and fresh. Lovely relaxed atmosphere which takes you out of the busyness of London. Our waiter Khoss was so friendly and had the best energy. He was so lovely and recommended dishes and teas to us. Thank you for a special evening! Would 100% recommend.

I used to eat here regularly Recently the menu changed to be 1. More expensive - it’s now priced like a bespoke restaurant 2. Eliminated the family sharing portion 3. Optional Service charge became a mandatory 13% cover charge (which doesn’t go to restaurant workers) - even on takeaway items

Friendly staff at Goodge Street. My spaguetti with meatballs was delicious! However, I’ve choose a 125ml glass of house red wine and it was disappointed. It seemed mixed with water and had a strong vinegar taste.Wine by the glass expensive too, Also not quite happy to pay 13.5% services. I felt embarrassed to contest and just paid it.

Another lovely evening at the spaghetti house we had the upstairs space largely to ourselves for my birthday gathering . Fabulous service and great food . Only downside was restaurant closed at 9.30 but it was midweek and January….

I live in Italy, so I know Italian food well. I have to say that up until now, the only place where I have eaten well is very close to eating in Italy.

We visited on New Years eve, atmosphere was nice, staff and the food was excellent. We have a new favourite Italian! Will definitely be visiting again!

We ate pasta! It was really good except for the funghi pasta which my mom ate. The Carbonara and Arrabbiata were really good though! The employee’s were also really nice and friendly👌.

We went to 2 Spaghetti House restaurants; the first near Kensinton Park, where we were greeted by a wonderful service from Veronica who made us feel at home, also very good food and actually very similar to Italian cuisine. In the second case we went to the restaurant in the Fitzrovia district where the service is more anonymous and the food closer to English taste. In both cases highly recommended!

Too expensive, the food was ok but it cost over sixty pounds for the two of us. The other waiters were all very friendly, but there was only one waitress who was very rude and asked us to order bread after ordering our meal. I said no, she looked very impatient, and insisted on asking us to give them good reviews later. Her commanding tone was very speechless. When we finally paid the bill, we planned not to leave a tip, but she asked us to pay a tip without any explanation. When we left, we looked at her in a friendly way, but she turned her head and deliberately did not respond! The pasta was good but I won’t come back for a second time!

We had a good diner. I really enjoyed the Italian burger. Our waiter Shabin was very thoughtful and patient with us. Would recommend this on any day.

The food is fine, but a little pricey for the quality. However, the girl here kept ‘ordering’ us for leaving a good review lol. Which is really disappointing and not real. So I properly consider those good reviews were asked under the monitoring of the Indian girl :( anyway tips were also included in the bill without any inform. Do not recommend this restaurant.

When I ordered a fresh orange juice, I asked explicitly if it was fresh and not from a box. Then the server brought me an orange juice from a box like a minute maid. The server then pretended as if they had the wrong order. The second time they brought the orange juice it was clearly diluted with water. The food itself was really good. There is a lot of staff just waiting around for such a little establishment.

Great place. We booked a table for 8 and were served in the upstairs room. Service efficient and friendly. Not too noisy. Which is what you want when you're a group of older men. Reasonably priced. Will definitely return. Again and again.

Spagetti House is theoretically Italian Restaurant, but the manager is English, cook is an English, his helper African, waitress English and an African. I ordered Linguini Frutti Di Mare and a glass of Italian white wine. Well... local is good located, decent size, decent tables and a chairs and a clean set. Lovely Italian music... But... my linguine wasnt boild in salt water. They forgotten to add salt wo water with linguini. They used choped british tomatoes for a sous, not much frutti di mare, only a few prawn... They gave me a little bit of Italian parmigiano on the top, but they didnt bother even of basil and rest of seson... like a hospital food without no taste. Very small portion as cannot satisfy even woman stomach and Im not monstrual big woman. I had to order two dishes for myself to feel satisfied with a portion... White Italian wine delicious, i ordered two glasses, at home I would take a whole bottle. Beautiful Italian music, but at 22:00 they stopped playing music. I played them Marino Marini song Nie placz kiedy odjadę, sercem będę przy Tobie... and can you belive it... they never hear of Marino Marini... they thinking, that it's Polish immigrant and then I realized, that something it's not ok. How Italian people cannot recognized one of the most famouse Italian singer as all Poland love him soo much... You understand, It's Marino Marini, best Italian Ambasador as we ever had in Poland and they don't know Him! It's not Italian, it's English version of Italian food for a English people. I had a decent, real Italian food in Gino's. Lovely Italian woman cook so good and a tasty food in Gino's in Oxford. £68 for a not salted linguini... disaster. Drink a lot of water and you will quickly forget about this disaster. Next time I will cook at home.

Our group of 5 enjoyed our authentic Italian lunch at the Goodge Street venue, our first visit to this location having previously used the Sicilian Avenue restaurant. The service provided to us was very good and as it is conveniently located we would certainly use it again.

I have been a regular at the Spaghetti House in Goodge Street since I first came to London in 1972 when I was at college around the corner in Bedford Sq. It has always been a treat. My fondest memories are of the wonderful welcoming entrance doors with their bowing figures (now inside) and making zabaglione in front of us in the copper pan. Wonderful! The food is consistently good and staff always make us feel comfortable. We are delighted that it is still around in these increasingly competitive days.

I went to The Spaghetti House with some friends on a busy Saturday. The food was okay but definitely on the pricey side for what we got. What really made the night better was our server, Talia. She was super friendly and really attentive, which made up for the average food. Overall, the service was great, even if the food wasn’t anything special.

Please avoid this restaurant, the food was lovely and the service was fine but we spotted a mouse running around and flagged it to the waiter and he did nothing about it and didn’t seem shocked.

My best friend and I used to frequent this when we were studying in London circa 30 yrs ago. We loved it then for a fabulous food, amazingly friendly staff and the authentic Italian experience. We can honestly say it is still the fabulous restaurant we remembered. Thoroughly recommend that you visit

Gran lugar. Organicé una reunión para 18 enfermeras que se formaron en la UCH en los años 70. Este era un lugar favorito para comer en ese entonces. El proceso fue fácil y el personal servicial y muy dispuesto a hacer nuestro evento un éxito. Escogimos del menú del evento y los langostinos al horno, raviolis y salmón con lentejas eran los favoritos. Estaba un poco decepcionado con mi escalope como un poco seco y podría haber hecho con un poco de verdura o salsa. El servicio fue excelente, con un personal cálido y amable. Gracias María y Renato que fueron brillantes.

I organised a 50 year Reunion for a group of ex UCH nurses as back in the 1970’s the Spaghetti House was a favourite place for us all to eat. The staff could not have been more helpful. They were kind, good humoured and well organised. Big thanks to Maria and Renato two stars. We had the room on the 4th floor and on a sunny afternoon had the windows open. We ate from the set menu and the baked prawn starter and salmon with lentils were favourites. Deserts all lovely. Unfortunately I was disappointed with my escalope and potato dish a bit dry and boring.
