Goodfare in Camden

Not too expensive for London but an average food this time round. The same bland tomato sauce used across different dishes, making everything taste exactly the same. Garlic bread and pizzas are tasty, pastas and gnocchi were very average.

The food was decent, I don’t regret trying it but considering the amount I paid it’s not that impressive. I would rather go to a different restaurant that would respect it’s own customers, the server was disrespectful towards us, but was respectful and friendly towards all other tables. I felt unwelcome here and I wouldn’t come back. I said my honest opinion, the food was good but there’s a lot of better and cheaper places where you’d be treated with respect.

Nice people but the food was poor. Unfortunately the pasta seemed like they had made some spaghetti and added a little bit of cheese powder to the water. It was very bland and watery. I don't think there was any real cheese cooked into the dish that was meant to be "truffle and cheese". My partner had the carbonara which again tasted like it was cooked from a packet. I felt very sick after and couldn't seem to stop going toilet (apologies for TMI). I also felt like I was being stared at while eating which made me feel like they were waiting for me to notice how bad it was. When actually interacting with the staff they were very nice. Very disappointed as I was extremely hungry and hunger is meant to be the best seasoning.

Pizza came .. then pasta after 20 mins. Its good food .. but .. service could improve .. but generally for a dinner out ..it works well

This was my second visit. Came here for lunch with my friend to eat the grilled prawns&rissotto. They have amazing pizza’s as well. Doga who was serving us was lovely and patient with us as I was disappointed and not satisfied with the grilled prawns on my second visit but she accommodated well and asked the chef to re-prepare them which turned out well.

Absuloutly magnificant food, service and envioroment. Ordered a salmon and scramvled egg sandwich, and it may be the best i've ever gotten.

Really disappointed considering the high rating they have on here. The service was pretty poor, they have people pacing the restaurant but they don't take your order - when we flagged one down to order he had to go and get someone else to take the order, looks like the manager is the only one taking orders and payment. Multiple people sat down and left again because no one would take their order. The garlic bread was alright but the pizza was so greasy it made the bread soggy, and the carbonara was swimming in sauce like I've never seen. They also use frozen oven chips which is fine if they weren't charging us 6 pound. Overall we probably wouldn't go back, and considering the rating it might have been a bad night but it was disappointing considering from the outside it's a very unique and pleasant looking spot.

Located in Camden, we had lunch in this Italian restaurant with a very friendly welcome. Dishes cheaper than other restaurants in London and yet very good, even better than some. In Camden, you can also find dishes of all origins, but we chose Italian which we like, for us a safe bet.

Very friendly customer service and the atmosphere was lovely. There was live cello performing, which we did not expect, but it was amazing.

The food was quite standard and service okay. We asked for water and one glass of wine between us. The waiter seemed to question our decisions with his Manner of asking ‘just water?’ Or ‘just the one glass?’ Other than that,all okay and nothing spectacular

Service was OK nice enough ladies, but my pasta was so Dry I couldn't eat it. when I told the staff they just said sorry no complimentary anything will not be returning. In the industry myself I know there should be a check back service as this issue could of been resolved

The very kind and accommodating service, the overcooked pasta and the cold pizza, I didn't like the two spritzes costing ten euros each, there was poor prosecco inside...price for two people, one pasta, one pizza and two spritz 70 £ very very expensive...not recommended.

Came here for a date and was super excited, but our server made us feel very rushed and we just felt neglected like we were in the way. The food was amazing but the way he served the food was chucking my dish down by the seat next to me we had no cutlery and had to wait to eat yet the cutlery didn’t come with any napkins so once again had to ask for them. Once we finally were able to ask for the bill we had to wait 20 minutes before we finally were able to pay even though a table before were able to pay straight away and he would walk past our table knowing we were waiting to pay and would walk past and stare out the window not paying any attention. After 20 minutes another table right by us asked for the bill and once again payed straight away and left whilst once again STILL WAITING. It was our first time there and it made us upset and frankly pissed off as we just felt like we didn’t belong there. Our server was just rude. Overall a very disappointing experience

Pizza was nice. Service is terrible. After two hours we managed to just get a main. Had to chase the staff multiple times just to try and order more drinks and desserts. Are these people running a restaurant or just providing a warm space to escape the cold?

Best Italian restaurant in London🤌🏼

Lovely Italian restaurant, good food and nice atmosphere. Tried it out because we were looking for somewhere indoors (rather than street food) and gluten-free. Google highlighted this restaurant, BUT there are NO gluten-free pizzas or pasta options here. Very limited range for gluten-free. Massive range for everyone else. My seabass was lovely, but the mash and lack of vegetables was disappointing for £20.

Garlic pizza bread was ballot great. Calamari was a little rubbery. Pizza was very good. Dessert was poor, particularly the Turkish vanilla ice cream which did not taste like vanilla

We came to the zoo on the weekend and it was a perfect meal spot after the zoo. They serve some typical Italian, dishes, pizza, pasta, grilled fish and meat, in addition, they serve some English food like mash and bangers, full English breakfast. The pasta is al dente. The sauce from Bolognese is very fresh. Not very salty. I think it’s very suitable for young kids. The pizza cheese is very stringy as well, thin crust. Eat it hot and fresh. I reckon it is a kids friendly restaurant. They provide high chairs, and there are many types of food. There is a 12.5% service charge.

Didn't like them adding 12.5 % onto bill as ...service ...when I asked about this he offered to take it off.....which it's basically a tip.....I decide whether or not a tip is deserved.....bit cheeky just adding it themselves......( I did tip him anyway but I decided that not them )......

Had past this restaurant a couple of times and kept meaning to go in as it always looked quite buzzy, finally went last night, they accommodated us at 10.15pm, there was a great atmosphere, staff were lovely and the food was delish. Will def go back - loved everything about it. They did a great Negroni too.

This is a very nice authentic Italian restaurant, which I have visited twice now. I have had the "Tagliatelli Di Mare" and the "Calzone" with a glass of Prosecco and Red Wine. The food was good and the decor gave an authentic Italian vibe. It was pretty busy with very few free seats available. This is only a couple of minutes walk from Camden Underground station, so it is very central and easy to get to.. A 12.5 percent service charge will be added to your bill.

The goat cheese is pretty fat, and the pizza is tasteless. Neither the dough nor the tomato paste is good, and those are essentials for a great pizza. Not worth what it costs. Service is excellent, but the place smelled weird 🤔

Wasn’t sure if this was a chain when we walked in but don’t think it is ? Was hesitant as didn’t like the look of the plastic shiny table cloths so think this is something they need to sort out, as these are also dirty looking. The menu is broad and the food was tasty. A few more meat option starters would be nice. The vongole was lacking flavour and there were way too many fruit flies / bar flies around.

Restaurante italiano ubicado en Camden, muy cerca de la calle principal. Cuenta con terraza y un salón interior decorado con los típicos motivos de esta clase de restaurantes y la clásica carta con platos italianos. Nos decidimos por ensalada César y spaghetti carbonara (auténticos, sin nata). Con una pinta de Peroni y un refresco a base de zumo de manzanas inglesas, la cuenta fue de 40,40 libras (unos 47 €), para dos personas. Buen detalle a favor de este restaurante es que no cobran cargo por servicio, además los platos son de muy buen tamaño y la atención muy diligente. Salimos muy satisfechos.

A great restaurant. The food was absolutely stunning, really authentic and the Pizza was one of the best, just delicious. Staff and atmosphere were spot on too and a definite for us when we’re next in Camden.

Following our Peaky Blinders experience we were ravenous and looking for a good Italian when we espied Goodfare on the main road. With its traditional red and white checked table cloths we sat down in anticipation for our meal. Service was good and the actual restaurant is fairly large split by a central kitchen. Bruschetta was very passable as was the pizza garlic bread which we kicked off our meal. Pasta and pizza followed all devoured in a timely fashion. Washed down with a bottle of house red wine @£22 along with sparking water @ £4.20 we enjoyed our meal and left feeling we had eaten ample sufficiency. I would give this a try it’s good traditional Italian trattoria cuisine.

Found this little gem on a cold and busy morning in Camden. We had a delicious and reasonably priced breakfast and gorgeous cappuccino served by a smiling and courteous waiter. I didn’t want to leave!

Popped into Goodfare for a meal together before a gig in camden. The pizzas looked a good price so we got a table. We though the starters were quite pricey so ordered one to share. My boyfriend’s pizza was nice but my pasta was very undercooked and all stuck together. We did not look at the cost of the draft beers we had but when we got the bill, it turned out that a half pint of Peroni was £4 and a pint £8.60 (almost as much as the cocktails). In all, the cost left a bigger impression than the food - You can eat incredible pizza and pasta of great quality elsewhere in London for a fraction of the price.

it is one of those little places where you can find good food, reasonable price, good vegetarian options, people super friendly.

Nous sommes allés dans ce restaurant qui fait le coin d’une rue situé dans la banlieue de Londres. Un esprit très Italien, une décoration très italienne aussi, de jolis tableaux et végétaux. Honnêtement d’un point de vue voyage en Italie, on avait l’impression d’y être ! Un personnel souriant ! C’est ce qui m’a marqué. Le personnel était composé de 5-6 personnes en salle et je dirais 1 ou 2 en cuisine et ils étaient tous très sympathiques, faisant un effort pour parler notre langue et vice-versa évidemment. Plats copieux, deux entrées pour mon père et moi, celles-ci étaient très bonnes ainsi que les deux pizzas bien garnies et les pâtes pesto et avocat de ma sœur. Environ 96£ pour 3 avec 2 entrée je trouve ça plus ou moins correct. Des entrées légèrement plus cher. Mais l’affluence de touristes justifie ceci. Très bonne découverte

First of all we sat at the back of the restaurant and had to shout to the waiter for our order. Food was okay nothing special but the service was non existent. The young waitress obviously didn't want to be working there , I wish we hadn't of paid the service charge as there wasn't any. Will not be back again

Chose to eat here on a trip to Camden. Very nice restaurant with ample seating. Had the pizza and Calzone. Very good service and reasonably priced for London. Only point to consider. Take the drinks order much quicker on sitting. People like to ponder the menu while having a drink. We waited ten minutes before being offered a drink

Out for a stroll around Camden and found this fairly authentic looking Italian restaurant (which says it has been there since 1959!). Ordered one pasta meal and one pizza meal, both were very enjoyable. Not cheap but really liked the food.

Been here twice now & the food is always tasty. Had breakfast the 1st time which was ace & this time the pizza hit the right spot.

Make sure you check the bill before paying - I didn’t and we were overcharged. £51 for two pizzas, a glass of wine and a Diet Coke. Be warned!

Had lunch here today. Table of 5 with 2 people in wheelchairs. We could not have been better looked after anywhere. The waiter really went out of his way to make our stay an exceptional experience. The food was delicious as well. Thank you all.
