Nice food but the service wasn't great due to them messing up my order and I didn't get my order until 45 minutes after ordering when every one at my table got their food very quickly.

Great location. Can get busy so book a table in advance. Service slow though food fresh and hot. Service charge added so you can ask for it to be deducted if you are not satisfied.

The restaurant was busy. We ordered a variety of hors doevres including their charcuterie platter (“enough for three”). The platter had so little meat on it that it was barely enough for one. It was served with a small salad and a bowl of nuts and raisins and some garlic . Hugely overpriced. It was served with four small half slices of toast. When we asked for more toast, they begrudgingly brought us another half a slice! For main course my son and I decided to share the 1kg tomahawk steak and chips. The steak (at £75) was a massive disappointment . 50% bone and the rest stringy and fat. We ended up with less meat that a regular 250g steak . Having said that the chips were excellent (hence the second star on this review) There were only three items on the desert menu. Service was adequate if uninterested (no “is everything ok” etc)

This is a kosher meat restaurant with a dairy and fish (sister) restaurant next door. Dined here on a very quiet evening. Service was friendly and quick. We were 5 people and there were plenty of choices on the menu. The food was good and satisfying if no more than average. No-one left hungry. Overall, a positive experience. We would return on our next visit to London.

I give one star because I cannot give zero. Some food was ordered and never came to table. The sandwich with pulled beef was disgusting, I am sorry, but really there is no other adjective. The so called pulled beef was reduced to a stinking mush of collagene. Really I dont understand how this people can be in the business. They charge 12% of gratuity without even asking the client for terrible, unattentive, "I dont care" kind of service. Shame.

This one of the newer kosher restaurants in London. Set in the old Peking Duck restaurant which was a Golders Green landmark for so many years, there has been a light refurbishment as they've turned the restaurant kosher. Inside it's pretty basic with simple furniture and whitewashed brick walls. The menu is pretty wide-ranging if you want meat or chicken, though when we were there a number of items were unavailable (three of which we'd tried to order). Pricing is mid-range, so perhaps a touch pricey for the basic diner experience. Staff are friendly and the food arrived pretty quickly and was lovely and hot. It's not delicate stuff, but it is pretty well cooked and so if you're looking for a simple diner experience (with restaurant prices) then this could be your thing. It didn't quite do it for us, but we'll likely give it another go in a few months' time.

We decided to visit this meat restaurant for a change. This was the first time we had tried it. This will be our first and last visit. We walked into this restaurant with no heating and everyone besides the staff wearing coats. Being so cold we asked them to put the heating on and we were told the heating was on maximum. We ordered mint tea which arrived served in tea cups. The tea consisted of a few fresh mint leaves in boiling water. We had to ask for tea bags which the waiter had to go out and buy or borrow from elsewhere. Being quite late at night we decided to opt for salads. My husband ordered the Entrecote salad whilst I ordered the Caesar Salad. Both salads were meant to come with Romaine lettuce instead it was iceberg lettuce (the cheapest lettuce you can buy). My Caesar salad came without being dressed so I asked for extra dressing what came was garlic mayonnaise. At this point I asked for the menu to check the ingredients that were listed. I then questioned the waiter why my salad was not as described. After checking with the chef he returned to say the chef said this is the correct dressing they always use and that they had no romaine lettuce. Now usually if a restaurant is out of ingredients they will say at the time of ordering we don’t have this but we can offer to substitute it with something similar. As for the dressing I was told garlic mayo is what they dress this salad with. I said to the waiter not according to your menu, it clearly mentions Caesar dressing. At this point I sent my dish back as it was awful and tasteless. My husband’s salad came with greasy deep fried pieces of meat not strips of minutes steak. There was no herb and vinaigrette dressing, nor roasted peppers either. Being hungry my husband ate his salad. Thankfully when our bill came we were not charged for my salad. In hindsight when we walked in and there was no heating with very few tables occupied we should have seen the writing on the wall and left. If this restaurant does not fix their heating and address serving the what is on their menu they will be shutting their doors.

I went to collect food from Soyo Diner (during the COVID pandemic). The restaurant was collection only. When I reached the counter the man behind the counter pulled his mask on to speak to me. The other man behind the counter and lady checking receipts in the restaurant did not have masks, not even under their chin.. No one - literally no one - in the kitchen was wearing a mask. One of four people in there had a mask under their chin, the other three did not have masks at all. I guess I expected a restaurant kitchen to use masks during a pandemic spread through air? Food was really good though (I assume no correlation).

Celebrated our anniversary at this restaurant with the wife...! Given Covid restrictions the atmosphere was upbeat, quite busy, the music could have been a little louder for the full diner experience.. The staff were very friendly and attentive so overall the service was great. Prices were a tad expensive, but with 'kosher' food that is expected! The red wine we drank was smooth and very enjoyable...The starters were absolutely yummy and would recommend the 3 burger sliders and cauliflower pot. The chicken wings were also tasty. For main course we ordered the Texas sandwich, was delicious however the meat portion was small given the price tag, the bread could have been toasted more to soak up the amount of sauce inside. Overall, a great meal, would visit again!

This is THE place to go. No other. You won't forget your experience. Akin to a five star hotel quality food both in presentation and in taste. It's taken time to overtake these kosher restaurants in Golders Green. Now it has. And its name is Soyo Diner.

The two men who run this place are honestly one of the best experiences I've ever had at any , ood restaurant/takeaway. I work nearby and first visited a few weeks after they opened, the way I was greeted and served felt like I was their first ever customer, warm and sincere in nature, they evidently put their love into every burger (the smash burgers are AMAZING!! even the basic ones are served with a delicious brioche bun and the tastiest burger sauce and beef bun I have found after years of ordering burgers in the North Finchley area!). The menu serves other super tasty looking items like 'French tacos' which I want to try...but I am just blown away by the service of this place. I'd visit them even if their food wasn't as delicious simply for the good natured, always smiling genuinely, staff!

Was very hungry near Baker Street station and thought I'd see if things had improved. The hell they have.now the fries no longer the rosemary fries that made this places name now they're replaced by generic plain tasteless cardboard like fries no taste nothing.in fairness on this trip the fries were cooked fresh unlike my other 3 visits since the 1st lock down but like I say not rosemaryfries.the burger was horrible tho at least it was definitely cooked fresh.the store was clean. But im done ever hoping these guys will ever go back to what they were 2017-2019 which was a great chain...people used to go for the rosemary fries....if they're gone no point going for me. The rest of u might like it I don't. Too many new better places imo
