This place is great. The food is delicious, different to most food you get in Gloucester and not just because its (mostly) vegan. Different choices and flavours. I'm personally not vegan myself but you can tell this food is made with love and effort. Plus the service is fantastic and so is the music! Only downside is not enough seats to bring my family.

Not often that you get amazing vegan takeaway food. Burgers to die for !!great service with a smile. Call in advance to check they are open .

We arrived tonight (Saturday evening) and had a really friendly welcome. There was space for us to sit down so we sat while waiting for our order to be prepared. While we waited the two men behind the counter were chatting to us while they were working and really made us feel welcome. The food was great value and was so fresh and tasty, obviously a lot of thought and preparation had gone into the recipes. This made for a really enjoyable evening and will definitely travel into town for this takeaway again!

Absolutely delicious, a great range of wholesome tasty options with very satisfying portions! Super value, I will be back very soon.

Absolutely delicious, great service and excellent value for money! I had a tiny tempeh burger and the stroganoff with quinoa, and my partner had a tainted sowl burger, both were fantastic. My partner’s not vegan and is usually skeptical of non-meat burgers, but he said he would definitely have it again. Will definitely be revisiting next time we’re in Gloucester!

Unfortunately we can’t eat here everyday because we are from Liverpool... We found this place whilst on holiday staying in Stroud. As soon as we came across this place we knew we had to visit. We drove for half an hour to sit in the car and eat our food, was it worth it? YES. Would we do it again? HELL YES! The owner was brilliant, such a nice guy and you could see his true passion for his food. Please never give up on this and get yourself on Dragons Den! The world needs you and your amazing food.

We had wraps- this time- working my way down the menu. I was also ordering for a non vegan - we were very impressed with the Sowl wrap and dirty Sowl wrap- which we shared- each having half of the two wraps. They were both very tasty- with fresh salad. Enjoyed by both of us. Also arrived hot and on time. My most favourite takeaway

We're not vegans but we thought we would give Sowl Fuud a try because of its amazing reviews. And I'm so happy we did. I still can't believe it was all vegan, the cheese on my burger was melted and tasted incredible, and my partner had a seitan kebab wrap which I tried and was also delicious. I have tried seitan kebab from supermarkets before and didn't get on with it so was dubious, but I needn't have worried. Couldn't rate the flavours high enough! (We had a takeaway due to lockdown, and the food arrive still hot).

The food tasted amazing and we got the lunch deal so it was really well priced too. The owner was really chatty and friendly and made great recommendations on what to try. Will definitely be coming back to try all the other tasty food

£17.50 for two wraps. Nice food, always is but this really upset me, nearly £20 for this: Won’t be ordering again.

I have eaten here twice now and the food has been fantastic and everyone I've ordered with has said the same. Such good value and really tasty food, I'm not a vegan either but will 100% go back.

This is honestly one of my favourite ever takeaways. The food is INCREDIBLE. The portion sizes are really generous and it tastes absolutely delicious. Love love love this place!!!

So Veganuary is my girlfriends start to the year! Mines unfortunately Dryanuary! I’ve drawn the short straw for sure, well I have now I know how good Vegan food can be! As I life long meat eater of the highest order I was absolutely blown away by the Gumbo with Rice and Herby chips we had today from this brilliant little gem of a takeaway (with a few seats if you want to eat in) perched right on the edge of Gloucesters city center, towards the bottom of Eastgate Street! The service was very friendly and surprisingly quick for such tasty food. I didn’t miss the meat at all. This dish was so flavourful and filling I may just make this a regular stop off.

We ordered our meal tonight and we were waiting for 45 minutes for our delivery. We called because the delivery didn't arrive and we found out that the order hasn't been given to the kitchen It was our first time and we wanted to give it a try. It won't be a second time ever.

Yes it's vegan friendly, but I'm not vegan. It's amazing soul, great flavours, spicy, cheesy and the burgers are just as juicy as any meat! Lots of choice, great service, decent price. We will be back! The herby fries are amazing.

We had lunch here today and got to meet the lovely Sebastian. He was so insightful and made some really good recommendations. The burgers were delish !!! The gumbo just as good and we will definitely be coming regular customers . Nom nom

All I can say to the Sowl Fuud guys is "keep doing what you're doing". We looked around for vegan fare on a recent visit to Gloucester and found Sowl Fuud on Happy Cow. The menu looked great so we boshed down there. We were not disappointed. The cook/owner is a friendly chap on a mission to bring vegan food to Gloucester and if you want exclusively vegan food, this is the only eatery in Gloucester offering that. It is primarily a take away but has six stools to perch on. We had two nugget wraps and a kebab wrap - just stunningly good. Very tasty, well cooked, great flavours. We'll definitely be back when we're in Gloucester again.

I visited Sowl Fuud back soon after they opened, and went back today after about a year. The food is still really good quality, and you can tell they put lots of thought into the flavour and texture. I came in twice in one day because it was so good! I had the Kebab wrap, which was literally one of the best wraps I've ever had as a lifelong veggie. Even my meat-eating partner said he wanted one after a bite of it! The guys are always so nice and I love the relaxed vibe in there. A hidden gem!!

Though complaining about the ubiquitous vegan burger in the past at other establishments, the 'Derty Sowl Burger' with Herby Chips was probably the best vegan burger I've ever eaten. Very impressed with the quality and the quantity of food. All served with smiles, conversation and good banter.Unfortunately it is not a restaurant as such with only 2 or 3 stools and no appropriate cutlery, it was still a fine experience and when I am in Gloucester again I shall repeat visit.

I went in to refill my water and came out with possibly the best fries I've ever had. The staff were super friendly even in my short visit, and the food was really good. Would definitely recommend the herby fries!

Nutritious and enjoyable dishes. This is not a restaurant but a take away with three seats so it is possible to eat in. Friendly service with a good choice. Smoothies are delicious. Lovely desserts with ice cream. Substantial portions. An oasis in the middle of Gloucester for the vegetarian or vegan

Going vegan for Lent can be a bit daunting, but if I could I'd move in and live with these guys! Literally cannot get enough of this place! Great lunches and we’re always counting down the days at work until we’re going again! Working my way through the menu and not been disappointed yet!!

I have been to soak fuud a couple of times and the food is delicious! The I would recommend the gumbo and the curry! And the staff are lovely as well good experience all round and always makes me want to go back try something different of there menu. I lobe that they change your the menu often and trail dishes before keeping them I recommend this place to everyone whether they are vegan or not

Finally got round to coming here on a whim one evening. It is unassuming and it took a while to get served as there was a man in there talking about what seemed to be conspiracy theories (?) and both the guys serving were listening, and even after I had started ordering, it kind of carried on.

Had lunch here and it was really tasty. Friendly welcome and help with the menu. We had curry with rice (delicious and a good kick!), gumbo with rice (the best!!) and a juice (super refreshing).

Sowl fuud has got it down to the t. Both their burgers and the gumbo stew is amazing and flavoursome. It's all reasonably priced and it's great that there is a vegan takeaway now in Gloucester!

A real treat. Now this is some serious punchy food. Clearly food cooked from scratch. Spicy and deep in taste. I am looking forward to my vegetarian journey. Reasonable and hot stew served with a choice of wild rice or quinoa. I chose rice which was great.

Ok so i passed this place a couple of times and never twigged it was vegan until now, I just saw it was Caribbean. So I go in there today just really wanting a snack as I didn't really have time to eat a full meal. However when I got there I got a text saying my meeting was delayed by 30 minutes so I sat down and had a beautiful vegan stew full of good yard food!! Full 100% Ital!! Quinoa where have you been all my life?!! It was soooo good. I am not vegan but often take the vegetarian option or at least the pescatarian option when eating out as it is healthier and I'm so glad I found this place. Will be going again plus trying to introduce quinoa to my own recipes. Sat in there to eat in a wheelchair no problem too, no steps and Rueben was very helpful and knowledgeable chef that has started this little gem of a Caribbean Vegan restaurant/takeaway that you simply have to try, you won't be disappointed

Have been wanting to try Sowl Fuud for ages after hearing all of the buzz on social media and today was the perfect opportunity as I had to pop into Gloucester.

I've been here 3 times now and each visit just gets better. The stew, wrap and herby fried are amazing but you have to try the jackfruit curry! Love your food guys, keep up the good work!

Yes i am a vegan, but even my boyfriend who is not, has started to state, 'mabey we don't need meat'. Because of the burger (soooo tasty). The customer service is excellent and, I think you may have converted a life long meat eating, gym freak, into a better way of life!

I can honestly say that this is the best vegan food I've tasted in the Gloucestershire area. They serve both fast food and hearty meals. So what ever you fancy, you can have.

These guys have got it just right, Sowl Fuud is just what Gloucester needs. I work around the corner in the Beauty Academy and myself and my students practically live here! The food is absolutely delicious, great flavours, plenty of choice and always service with smile! Such a cool fun vibe and always happy to help. Highly recommend the gumbo, the wraps and the herby chips.

I am vegan and it is hard to find easy take away food which isn’t just chickpeas and falafel! The food here is SO yummy, my boyfriend is a keen meat eater- and even he is asking to go back for more things off the menu! 10/10 service, 10/10 food and excellent price! Cannot fault it :)

We came to Sowl Fuud for lunch today and we both had Gumbo with Sticky Rice.....it was delicious and full of flavour.

Hands down the best vegan food I've eaten as well as incredible value, far superior to all higher end vegan restaurants I've been to. Vegan or not the flavours and textures are perfect and you're not left feeling unsatisfied. The service is so friendly and helpful, went for the first time yesterday and had to go back again today. Very excited to try more items on their menu. Sowl Fuud deserves so much more recognition!

Popped in on our way home and what an amazing place. Greeted with beautiful smiles and great service. The food is yummy and the smoothies are really tasty.

The food is amazing and very filling. I had the seitan burger and would definitely recommend it. The staff are delightfully freindly and the whole place is very clean and informative. Absolutely a place to put on your bucketlist if you're ever in Gloucester.

Popped in today to try it out, we had the Sowl wrap, herby chips, seitan tower burger and onion rings. Everything was great, super tasty and made fresh. The guys running the place are lovely and personable, we will definitely be visiting again.

Hopefully this will spark a revolution in plant based food in Gloucester. Cheltenham has a few places, but nothing with this flavour or character. Support them and I’m sure they’ll improve from the awesomeness already attained. We need this place to get bigger and get some tables and chairs. We will definitely be back.

Sowl Fuud is absolutely incredible! I walk past it every day to and from work so pop in every now and again and always thoroughly enjoy it. Not only is the food great, but the two men who run it are so friendly and welcoming, always willing to have a chat whilst preparing your food! They constantly add new things to the menu meaning there’s always new things to try, but my personal favourite is the tower burger and the herby fries. It is so nice to have an easily accessible, well priced and vegan food place in Gloucester. Best thing is, even my meat eating boyfriend loves the burgers from Sowl Fuud, so I would recommend it to anyone, vegan or not!

The gents running it couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful and clearly have a serious passion for what they do which is so nice to see. Fantastic food! A fresh, new, exciting vegan take away. What is not to love! Gorgeous food, great atmosphere and friendly service. The herby chips are quite possibly the best chips I have ever tried and the seitan tower burger was huge and very tasty! We will without doubt be back. I want to try the gumbo!
