Popped in for lunch around 12.15 (Thursday) first time visitors. The dining area is spacious and light with plenty of seating. We had bacon, leek, mushroom and Stilton pie (delicious and full of flavour), home made pork and caramelised onion sausage roll (tasty and stuffed with filling) and last but not least a tuna and cheese panini (just the right amount of filling and toasted just right). Staff were friendly, cheerful and served with a smile. We will definitely be returning in the near future to try out some more of the menu and specials. Highly recommended *****

Lots more tables since last went which unfortunately meant longer to queue to order food and drinks at till point , cold drink cabinet moved and no indication of where to get them now . Food still okay although salad was very lettuce and onion heavy with just 2 slices of cucumber and 3 tomatoes slices and quiche slice could have been more generous for price. Wait for food to arrive at table was reasonable considering lunchtime and busy.

We are regular Clients to the Cafe and often stop to buy a plant or two. The menu and meals are great and plenty of outside seating too. The staff are friendly and helpful, considering they are usually rushed off their feet. Definitely try their breakfast 10/10. Portion size is more than ample for cost. Awesome place to eat. 🤩

This place is amazing for coffee, cake and lunches. Good food, great selection and prices. The staff all work very hard, but they desperately need two people working at the cafe counter at busy times. The wonderful lady who does all the cooking helps when she can at the till. That is not often possible. The queues can be horrendous. I do think that there should always be two staff at a coffee shop counter- one to sort out the drinks and the other sorting out all the other things. Poor staff management and I am sure that must be so stressful for the person at the till.

We have never been to the cafe before. But the service, was very good and all the staff had a smile to share. Food wise all our meals were well presented and tasty, especially the Growler. We also decided to buy some hostas that were in an excellent condition. Making payment we were looked after very well by Nigel. Will definitely visit again. Thank you for an excellent visit.

Busy coffee shop in a garden centre. Popped in with family for coffee and the cheese scones were some of the best we’ve ever had. Wonderful selection of cakes made on site and lovely staff.

As ever Cheryl you've fed us royally, your Sunday roasts are tasty, cracking value and the cake counter has to be the stuff of Notts legends. It NEVER fails to impress. Anyone coming, be aware that you'll stand in line to order and pay and then it is served to your table. The roast beef is brisket (rather than topside) or pork. But it's £9.95 for a full plate, so you cannot argue with that in this day and age. Lots of people around us are eating very nice looking homemade quiche and salad. Not posh decor and not posh prices. Instead good homemade fayre cooked by good people. Don't stop!

table booked for 1.30 to find says 1.45 on table card. had to que for half hour to order and got food after 3pm and next people wanted table at 3.15 which obviously they couldn't. too many tables staff and customers couldn't pass between chairs. no cutlery I asked at kitchen door do we have to que if we have a table booked a lady said yes everyone had booked and shut door on me food was like all mushed up on the dinner really spoilt the day and I was upset as first mothers day since my mum finished her chemo she was in pain after being so crammed up to the table dissapointed also as I have emailed the cafe and no reply

Had booked a table a few weeks ago for my cousin and myself at 12.00 got there on time had to queue for 30 minutes dinner came at 1:05 the waitress had a tea towel over her arm she caught the tea towel on my meat just said sorry no offer to take the meal back and change the meat so I took off the meat that the tea towel had touched. The meat could have done with more cooking the roast potatoes were hard the veg was alright. The table that we were at was booked out for 1:30 so bearing in mind we didn't get our meal till 1:05 . 25 mins to eat a meal NOT GOOD. My cousin has learning difficulties. So we do not leave the table until 1:45. That was not our fault . Southwell garden centre should not try to please all the people all of the time they need to put a limit on how many people they serve for Sunday lunch / mothering Sunday they had far too many people in. So in future I would recommend them to put a limit on how many they serve on that day and not over book as they have done today. It will be a long time before we go back. And southwell garden centre used to have a good reputation now they haven't they will have to work very hard to get their reputation back. It will be a long time before we go back again.

Visited this tearoom for the first time today ,had the homemade quiche from the special board ,broccoli and stilton ,it was so good !! Reasonably priced and generous portions ,good to see a independent business doing so well in these testing times.

Visited here and tried the amazing fresh hotplate food. All homemade and cooked fresh each day. The large cake selection was brilliant and I highly suggest trying the beautiful egg custard. The staff were all very friendly, and the service was excellent. I will definitely be visiting again.

I visit here quite often & the food is always delicious, fresh & homemade! I urge people to try some of the lovely dishes from the hot plate they have, the cheese, leek, potato & onion pie is to die for, they often have different home made pies and other delicious food which is also great value for the quality you get & portion sizes are great too!

Cakes are nice but if your in to microwave food this is the place to be if they hide all the wall of microwaves it might not look like in side of a weatherspoons kichen

Brilliant cakes and food. Also do their bit for the community by donating plants for a school summer fair in the inner city area. Plants are varied and beautiful. Always helpful and friendly staff.

This place is Amazing, Reasonable prices, Great food & Fantastic service! We can sit inside or out & also in the shop which is very relaxing, Me & my friends often have afternoon tea & then take a meal home with us.

Visited yesterday just to buy a few plants....smelled the hot food so went to investigate Decided to have roast pork dinner which was amazing. Chunky pieces of pork, nicely cooked vegetables, perfect crispy stuffing, jug of home made onion gravy. Husband had steak pie with chips and peas. Only concern was the uneven surface of the block paving of the ramp access which was potentially dangerous.

We had tea when we came to Southwell race course for tye Antique Fair. A nice coffee, with very friendly staff. Very busy & it's nice to see people out & about & cafe's doing well.

Good variety menu available - see photo. Clean & looked after by very friendly people. The food is served to table & reservations can be made. Tasty snacks as well as nourishing meals were in evidence. Good parking close to restaurant. Thank you for your warm welcome.

We went about 2pm on a Sunday. One table was having the roast dinner which looked huge. Another was having the afternoon tea which included delicious looking cakes! We had the soup, freshly made sandwiches and vegan sausage and mash. The staff were polite and efficient. There was seating inside and out and the place was spotlessly clean.

Visit regularly on a Sunday for coffee and a cake, but always disappointed in the queue for the coffee shop. Only one person on the till taking orders, making drinks, getting cakes taking the money - this holds everything up. All staff work very hard, but just one other person getting out the drinks, etc would just make it much more efficient. I walked away again this week as did quite a few others!

We had a look around the extensive garden centre before hitting the tea rooms. There were a plethora of homemade cakes to choose from. The cakes were delicious. As it was a warm day we sat outside in a small marquee which was great.

A nice treat for Sunday lunch. Excellent food, meat (beef or pork) was tender, roasts, mash and yorkshire puddings were great, plenty of veg and lovely onion gravy. Other food options available. Plenty of desserts on offer, apple crumble, cornflake tart, butterscotch tart, biscoffe cheesecake...

This venue is by far the best in the Southwell and outlying area. The food is tasty and great value for money and the staff are exceptional. Friendly and helpful. The cheese scones are by far the best I have ever tasted.

Lovely place to go, whether for breakfast or lunch. Definitely recommend trying the daily specials, had the pork and cider teviot and the Apple and strawberry crumble with custard, delicious home made food and friendly service. Can't fault it.

A favourite stop amongst local cyclists with a wide selection of cakes along with other food and drinks. They cope well with large groups of cyclists arriving and have plenty of space to leave your bikes which are visible from the cafe.
