Southsea Local in Portsmouth

Fabulous shop with lovely coffee and nice things to eat. I'm particularly fond of the porridge oats they sell!

Southsea local is a warm, welcoming spot in the heart of Southsea. They offer fresh, high-quality produce, unique gifts, amazing coffee and pastries while supporting other independent businesses. Perfect for dog walkers, they always treat my puppy with a snack and cuddles. A must-visit for great food, gifts, wonderful coffee and hospitality!

Southsea Local really is the quintessential "local". Lovely owners and team, brilliant coffee and an expertly curated selection of fresh, local and interesting foodie products. And the salad boxes make a tasty healthy and convenient lunch. A great addition to a unique, vibrant precinct in Southsea.

Service is terrible. They truly can't be bothered. We bought a cinnamon knot with a card. A few minutes later we came back asking for the person to break a 10 so I could provide a tip for a local business, but she refused. For it being a local community shop it sure didn't feel that way. Once you make your purchase they could care less about you.

A super nice little shop off the main high street, fantastic coffee and an excellent range of unique independent products. Some of my favourite are the London Fermentary Kimchi and the L.A Brewery Kombucha. I wish this store had a few more vegan takeaway options for food. Staff always incredibly friendly and I often make a detour to visit.

I love this place. Their decaf coffee is great, they have wonderful things to eat, and the staff are friendly, and always have time for a chat.
