Southern Fried Chicken in North Hertfordshire

Attempted to place a takeaway order, after 10 minutes, had a text through to say they’d cancelled our order. Tried to call the restaurant to question why and they either declined the calls or left it ringing and ringing. Shocking service really.

Only 1 portion of chips but two meals

the drink was incorrect. I ordered a Fanta and got a tango which I really do not like. The chicken was really tasty for the tiny bit I got. The rest were bones. I would have rung to tell them but there was no receipt and not number on the website. Not impressed.

medium kebab was the exact same size as the large kebab, very tight

I stated in my order that we didn't want salad in our burgers, we had a 1/2 and a 1/4 and kids burger. My child didn't eat hers and I had to scrape mine off but I could still taste it and found it off putting. my partner didn't mind but I did say no salad because I didn't want any mix ups.

Sent me the wrong order!!!! And food was cold.

Would have been 5 stars if there had been sauces & more polite staff. Called to request them, only be told my order had already left (6 minutes after placing the order) and that they no longer just supply sauces and have to ask because they ‘don’t know who wants them’. Also told to buy them in future - 50p for a half filled pot is pretty steep if I say so myself.

Good delivery service, well packaged/delivered. However unfortunately it is some of the saltiest chicken I have eaten. Well coated and decent flavour but way too much salt added to the mix, almost near an inedible degree (wings and popcorn chicken). Decent food/service otherwise. Decent other than this normally, would recommend, probably an off day.

I always give you guys good 5 star but tonight wow it was so bad over hour late and the food was cold chips undercooked meat was so dry the hole thing in the bin so disappointed, I’ve never had problems before🙄

A popular fast food joint. They offer the regular bits and pieces of fried chicken with their own twist. We'll worth a visit.

Ordered from here a few times recently since they expanded their delivery range. The food has always been good as has the service. The staff are always friendly and helpful and never had a late delivery.

First ordering, ordered 2x cheese burger meals and 1 chicken for my kids and turned up with 2 chicken and one cheese burger. Kids were not happy 🤦🏻‍♀️ but the food overall was nice

Needed the food quickly, and I collected within 15 min of placing the order. Excellent. Chicken was very tasty and fresh. Chips were freshly cooked and didn't smell of old oil. Very impressed. A++++

Food was horrible, all reheated apart from the chips. All went in the bin. £35 of my hard earned money gone. Not a chicken shop at all. Shame

The owner of SFC is such a kind man when ever I go to town with my mates he always says hello and is really joyous ; I don’t think ever left SFC without receiving any free chicken the amount of food I get that I haven’t paid for is obsurd. SFC is my favourite place to eat in hitchin and there is no argument to be put up about it when I step inside I get treated like royalty. Also the main part the food , well the food is just astounding I love the chicken I’ve tryed a wide selection of meals off the menu and there has never been one where I thought that it wasn’t nice. Hitchin is slowly dying a lot of places shutting we’re just getting bombarded with charity shops and hairdressers but SFC and people like khan is what we need in this town hitchin.

Found metal and other things in my chicken will definitely not be ordering from there again

Messed up my order! Left off wings, chips and a drink.

Chips and onion rings were a bit soggy, and the hot wings didn’t have much flavour, but other than that it was nice - good sized bits of the fried chicken!

I ordered 5 chicken strips and only two turnt up in a box that looked like they have been sat there for a while. Won’t be ordering from here again !!!

Too much salty, poisonously salty.

Wasn't expecting much but honestly this might be the best chicken I've had for a long time and at such a cheap price you really can't argue. Very well cooked with great flavour and the wrap went mental love it going to be having this for my weekly takeaway every week

Excellent customer service. Driver got a bit lost but it didn't take away from the experience. For the first time I got given napkins and cuttlery without request by any take away! A service I took for granted. It's the little things that make a massive difference. Will order from here again. Highly recommended.

Man, this has always been the number one chicken shop in hitchin.. good prices, delicious recipe, crispy and consistent. Good staff also who are friendly in general and patient with all the drunks in hitchin on the weekend.. Big respect.

Food arrived cold/Luke warm, and chicken fillets in burger was Rubbery/Chewy - either overfried or old chicken. Not enjoyable meal sadly

Chips and pizza were cold. Pizza tasted off. Had ordered pepperoni but like 3/4 slices of it on the whole pizza. This place normally does alright food so not sure what happened today

Greeted at my front door with the best customer experience I've ever witnessed. By the original owner/manager from over +15yrs ago. When I used to pop in there regulary when the Ivory nightclub was in existence. Great value for money, striking speed of service and superb customer service. Manager is a true Legend!...can't believe he's still going and quality is still on par.
