South Shields Football Club in South Tyneside

Spent a lovely Saturday here with work colleagues for the South Shields v Marine FC match. We had a prime table in the Shipley Lounge where we were feed, watered and got to watch the game from the comfort of some nice warm seats. The food was delicious, the chicken was cooked to perfection and the dauphinoise potatoes, little creamy dreams! Dessert was a winter comfort classic, bread and butter pudding with custard, which topped the meal off nicely. The service from all the staff was spot on, cheery and helpful and the fact the lads won just made the day even better! A fantastic day out at a great little club!

Filtrona park or as it now known as ‘cloud arena’ is home to South Shields FC, a team with big ambitions football wise. The addition of a marquee adds the revenue from events, parties or weddings. We were impressed by the venue and staff and the dj, buffet hot and cold.

Staff very friendly and helpful, on email and phone, when booking up and then when seeking directions and layout clarification. Restaurant very clean and, again, staff very friendly and helpful. Carvery roast was very tasty and plenty of it. Would request, however, that the plates are kept hot 😡 Desserts were superb and plentiful. Very reasonably priced too. All around good experience, thank you.

Heard about the Sunday lunchtime menu via social media and we decided to give it a try. Definitely not disappointed Choice of THREE ROASTS and an array of Veg all piping hot and well presented. Gravy was delicious too I cleaned my late The offer included a choice of sweets. We both chose the Apple Crumble and custard and both agreed it could have been a little hotter but was polished of with gusto. £6:95 each…..unbelievable value. Seek out this little gem, you won’t be disappointed
