South River Coffee in Wandsworth

Sadly will not be visiting again due to the very poor customer service from the person serving. Such a shame as being kind costs nothing.

Stopped off for coffee. On ordering 2 oat cappuccinos..Once we tried coffee realised that it did not contain any coffee the woman behind counter. Rudly screamed at us refused to make another coffee or wouldn't provide a refund. AVIOD THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!

¡No solo el café es delicioso, sino que el personal es increíblemente encantador! Lo visito regularmente y lo disfruto mucho cada vez. También he comprado bolsas de su café antes para amigos y compañeros de trabajo, ¡a todos los cuales les ha encantado! También tienen excelentes opciones de comida y son muy complacientes con los veganos. ¡No puedo recomendarlo lo suficiente!

Perfect Flat White y excelente servicio. El lugar es limpio y atractivo y tiene buenas precauciones de Covid.

Pedí un americano con leche caliente que repetí dos veces. El servidor no estaba escuchando y estaba ocupado haciendo otra cosa. Tomé mi café y la leche no estaba caliente, así que pedí leche caliente. El café estaba lleno, así que no había dónde poner la leche caliente. Así que pedí cortésmente un café recién hecho. La mesera me acusó de mentir diciendo que no pedí leche caliente, ella me dijo que le pedí a Ed leche fría. Ella comenzó a levantar la voz diciendo que mentí. Me arrebató el café con la mitad de la propina y lo llenó con leche caliente, así que solo tomé una taza de leche caliente sin café. Pésimo servicio.

Came in out of the freezing winter rain to be greeted by a friendly smiley barista who got our order of a hot chocolate and a red berry tea together really quickly. I didn't try the coffee but I heard several customers comment on how delicious it is. Staff are friendly, I watched one help an elderly man leave the cafe. Calm, cosy atmosphere with chilled music and a very extensive food menu. Will definitely be coming back!

It is so nice to have such a wonderful coffee shop so close to where I live. Balham has the usual Nero and Costa but once you have the excellent coffee and relaxed atmosphere of South River, you never want to go back.

Great little coffee shop reasonably priced & a great bagel with a proper amount of salmon & cream cheese in it . Too many places put tiny amount of fillings in their sandwiches and charge a fortune Staff were very pleasant

I have been there during the day for a quick break. I really enjoyed it. Relaxing atmosphere, deco is very simple but nice , a lot a young working there, nice jazzy/lounge music. Service nice and effective. Mocha was delicious. I have not yet eaten there but I will definitely come back to taste the food.

The coffee here really is the best. And the staff match that. They make sure you get your coffee exactly how you want it, for take out or take in. Have never been that drawn to eat in, options are rather simple, but I don’t because the coffee makes up for all of that.

Super friendly staff, excellent coffee at the perfect temperature and just simply delicious - they know their coffee! I enjoy it on the way to work 👌

I absolutely adore this coffee shop. The staff are friendly and chatty. They make the coffee exactly how I request it, and they know a lot about how to make good coffee with both dairy and non-dairy options. Simple but delicious selection of cakes (banana bread is my favourite) and sandwiches too. I would highly recommend South River to anyone looking for good quality coffee in a friendly environment on this side of London.

One of the best coffee shops I've been to. It feels nice to know that I have such a warm friendly local coffee shop nearby. 5 star service, delicious coffee and cake served by genuinely lovely down to earth staff. Highly recommend, you leave the shop feeling happy :-)

Selection of cakes has improved - I feel there are now more options. Lots of different types of tea available, staff are lovely and friendly - nice to always see the same faces. It can be very busy in here, especially at weekends. No baby change but babies/children/buggies are welcome here, they have a nice sofa area which is great for meeting with kids.

Laptop friendly tables, quiet atmosphere - with a bit of music in the background, not too manic like starbucks - very relaxed. Staff are really polite + friendly, good selection of tea, coffee + cakes, highly recommended.

A really friendly new coffee shop in Balham - well worth walking a few yards up the high rd. Very clean with a comfortable feel. The staff are very attentive and quick and the wifi is free.

I suppose I'm one of those self-indulgent coffee snobs and I had a really good flat white in there. Cakes looked really good although I had not long had lunch so couldn't really. Owners/ staff are really lovely too - a welcome addition along this...
