Beautiful atmosphere, amazing food and really good friendly service.

What to say? Beautiful, well decorated, wonderfully staffed with friendly people, great quality, well made food, great coffee, nice rear garden, wonderful products for sale, the lost goes on and on. I will definitely pay another visit next time I am in Bridport. This coffee is on my all time favourites. Thank you for the great experience!

The most amazing frittata I've ever eaten. All the food was full of flavour without being pretentious. Highly recommended 👌.

Dropped in for breakfast on a busy Saturday morning and service was super friendly and fast. I had creamy garlic mushrooms and greens on sourdough toast. My husband had 2 eggs on sourdough with grilled local halloumi. Both meals were delicious. Coffees were lovely too. Will be back when we’re next in the area.

Honestly one of the best meals we've ever eaten! Imaginative food cooked to perfection, everything we ate was utterly delicious. We had dinner -two meat mains ( venison and pork) and three vegetable sides. They call it a tapas menu but the potions were really generous and prices very reasonable for such outstanding food. Wish we lived nearby and could come regularly!

Maybe we were expecting too much, the bread was great, disappointing service but maybe we just got a bad day, the cafe was recommended to us by a fellow restaurant with high standards but just guess we got unlucky. We ordered olives which were forgot but added to bill, My husband found the soup to be under seasoned. I think it’s good but as we say I think our expectations were just too high.

This place is fabulous! We have had lunch and dinner here and had a great experience each time. The staff are friendly and the service is efficient. Very interesting and tasty dishes too. Highly recommend.

This place is a hidden gem. I had the best tortilla I've ever tried and I'm looking forward to coming back to trying the other great stuff on their menu. Everything is homemade. The attention was really good also Just a suggestion: I'd add a sign out front saying there is space to sit at the back. I almost missed it!

A heart warming spot brimming with locals and visitors alike. We loved sitting in the window watching the world go by with both our two dogs and son very happily welcome as we munched yummy toasties and delicious soup in a great atmosphere!

What a great find. We booked a Friday evening and really enjoyed it. A gd welcome and loved the setting, decor, ambience. Service was attentive and friendly with clear explanation re the tapas/advice how/what to order. A really interesting menu and delicious tastes. We especially loved the cabbage (!) and a beetroot dish. There was quite a, wait between cold and cooked tapas but the flavours and presentation made up for this.

Have been there for lunch and always had an enjoyable experience. However decided to try Dinner for a change and what a disappointment. The oysters and local wine were excellent, however the food produced in the kitchen was way below the usual standard. The crackling with the pork was so hard and inedible. However the chef did a great job with the log fire which was a great feature on a cold January night so perhaps “ a change of roles “ !! ??

If I ever get the electric chair these guys are getting call the night before I ride the lightning!! I had a cheese toastie with a cup of builders tea…this thing was so chunky if I hadn’t actually eaten it I’m pretty sure it would offered me out for a fight!!! And the tea was essentially a cup of liquid Britain…marvellous

After a disappointing breakfast at another cafe in Bridport a while back 'Soulshine' certainly did SHINE.. fantastic service..food served quickly, well presented and freshly cooked..The bacon was particularly good as were the buttermilk pancakes..I had a cup of Ethiopian black coffee that was rich in flavour and hot all the way to the bottom of the cup..Will definitely be eating here again..Great experience 😋 Steve & Annie

Stumbled across this beauty of a coffee shop when visiting Bridport to watch my daughter play football. Always like to support local coffee shops rather than the burnt coffee mega chains and Soulshine certainly didn’t disappoint. The cortado was amazing and I’m looking forward to another away day match so I can drop in again!

Can not fault the food or service in this quirky deli/bistro. Food is amazing and wholesome, Tortilla was fabulous, the rhubarb drink was soooo lovely and the baked cheesecake was scrummy.

Post Parkrun coffee, that turned into eggs on toast and cake 😋. Relied on instinct for this one, and was not disappointed. Clearly popular with those that know, but as visitors we lucked in. Waiting in the queue to be seated was enough to convince us we needed more than cake. All breakfasts looked mouth watering. 🙌. All on sourdough toast and the bacon was proper baconey 😂

We came for the Supper Club Our first time here for this particular event. It was beyond what we expected. The food was amazing, beautiful flavours, local produce and cooked to perfection. We really couldn't have wished for better. We left absolutely stuffed and will most definitely be coming to another Supper Club. Would thoroughly recommend to all

Absolutely amazing place, food, service, nothing too much trouble for the staff

Took my old dad to his favourite breakfast place in Bridport. We were a party of 5 on a very busy Saturday morning so chances of getting a table were slim. However, the fabulous chap who greeted us shuffled a few accommodating people around and we were seated within a minute. Glorious breakfasts of pancakes, beans, eggs, bacon and the best gluten free bread I've tasted in yrs were served up. We indulged ourselves even more by having cheesecake to follow ! What a splendid place Soulshine is, such fantastic staff and such superbly toothsome food. Bridport has many good food establishments and Soulshine is up there with the best.

Stopped off in Bridport on the way home from Lyme Regis and we're lucky enough to find Soulshine. Great find, had an excellent coffee with an amazing slice of orange, almond and pistachio cake (WOW) Great friendly service and just what we needed before travelling home.

Great service with fabulous home cooked, fresh tasty food. Lots of choice and plenty of seats. Local mackerel, turnip soup, cheese toasties, with good house wine and choice of beers. Washed down with excellent coffee and a sensational brownie. Enjoy

My Husband, Daughter & I love this place. You are always guaranteed repeat business when you nail the food/produce. These guys certainly have. Recommend!

If I could have given a 10 mark rather than a 5, I would! We had a fantastic meal last night as a part of Soulshine's Supper club. I loved the variety of dishes with locally sourced ingredients, fantastic presentation and warm hospitality. Will definitely be back. Thank you, Andy and Team!

I love popping into this cafe when I am in Bridport, the menus is small but full of nice dishes. I love their doorstep sandwiches and their tortilla, just delicious. I am either vegetarian or vegan but they have some lovely vegetarian dishes. I found their coffee has a bit of a funny undertaste, not sure I like their coffee bean choices. Their baked cheesecake is lovely but some of their (vegan?) cake slices were also not quite my taste. However, those are my personal tastes, other may very well disagree.

Visited with the family for a late lunch. The generations all loved the food and the ambience. Short queue to get started but the experience more than made up for the frustration of waiting. We all had vegetarian options and they were packed full of flavour. Coffee was great, cake delicious.

A real down to earth rustic cafe serving hearty homemade food and good coffee. We had the Spanish tortilla and a vegetable soup which were both delicious and filling.

We had the most delicious meal here while staying in Bridport for the Literature festival. We had tried coffee one morning with the most delicious cinnamon buns I’ve ever had so couldn’t wait to try their dinner menu. The service is lovely, very friendly and helpful team who know all about the food. We had confit garlic with sourdough which was so tasty and different. We then had potatoes with pesto and beetroot warm salad - both so tasty and beautifully prepared. Lovely organic wines and a great cocktail selection. I only wish we lived nearer- we’d be there all the time!

Wow! Just wow! Okay, so I know of Andy (head chef) and how good he is, but Soulshine blows everything local out of the water. If you are foodies like us then you will love it! It's all about great ingedients and flavour. Nuff said! If there is one restaurant in Bridport you should try, this is it. x

Tables outside make it very difficult for disabled people in wheelchairs and mobility scooters to get past and inside is not wheelchair friendly.

Great place good food. Its such a popular place u have too wait for a table to be vacated.... Hubby had Shasuka, its baked eggs with tomatoes, pepper, chilli and sour dough toast, and he loved it

Visited for dinner when on holiday as recommended by local friends and weren’t disappointed. Incredible food, flavours and local ingredients. The organic stout and Kingston Black were also a highlight. Super friendly service and chilled buzzy atmosphere. Highly recommend to anyone who loves great food and supporting local small business.

Excellent coffee with a good range of different coffees. Very chilled atmosphere. The chocolate and chestnut brownie was spectacular.

We simply love the food and atmosphere at Soulshine. It's hard to walk past when we go into town. The supper clubs and guest events are really great. We really enjoyed two events this year with Robin and recently Sabrina Gidda.

This is THE place to eat in Bridport. The food is unique, extremely hood quality and great value. The service is friendly, knowledgeable, and very efficient. We had the most amazing lunch and have already planned to return.

I went here for lunch with the wife, after perusing the menu, nothing really grabbed my liking. Lots of vegetarian, vegan and gluten free food, but next to nothing for the now virtually extinct meat eater; just one dish. My wife had a toasted cheese...

We were taken to Soulshine while staying with friends, it was absolutely packed so we had a small wait for a table. It was worth it! Great coffee, delicious cakes and a tortilla and aliloi which was the taking point of our entire summer!

Just been here for dinner (16th September). So good to find decent food, service & atmosphere, all under one roof. Sharing plates were epic, lamb perfect, desert & coffee were scrumptious. Will definitely be recommending that this is the place to go for food. Couldn’t fault anything. Already looking to come back again. Thank you

Never been before but will certainly return. Great menu if you are a vegetarian, which I am not but I was astounded at how great the food was and how varied the flavours and textures were. A real eye opener. Super tasty and super value. It's a real winner.

Absolutely amazing cafe. Popped in for lunch one day and had the pesto pasta which was delicious. Went in the next day to try their breakfast and had the beans on sourdough with nicks mushrooms (creamy garlic mushrooms). The mushrooms were PHENOMENAL probably one of the nicest things I’ve ever eaten! Would love to live closer to this place! A must try!

We had the most unbelievable time here last week when visiting family who live locally. Despite walking past many times we never knew it had a dining area in the back, I'm just disappointed we didn't go in sooner! The food was all exceptional and...

We are visiting the area and stopped past for a very quick brunch on the way through. The fritatta on the counter looked incredible - with homemade herby aioli and roasted baby tomatoes on top - and it was genuinely one of the most delicious and satisfying things I have eaten. My friends ordered bacon and egg sandwiches and they were very thoroughly enjoyed! The coffee was nice, although not as good as the food 🙃 The team was also very friendly and the dining area out the back looked very nice and had a good relaxed atmosphere.

Delicious coffee and fun people-watching outside Soulshine at Bridport Hat Festival. We didn’t eat, but were very envious of our neighbour’s delish-looking shakshuka and his friend’s fried eggs, bacon and mushrooms. Co-owner Joel joined in the Haturday fun by sporting his goose hat!

This place is wonderful. Great vibe and the food is delicious. We got there early but it was full soon. Portions are very generous (the pancakes were huge) and prices fair. Staff is efficient and nice. I will return if I ever get back to the area.

Lovely modern cafe with a relaxed sea-shack vibe. Family and dog friendly, with an outside seating area at the back and a takeaway shop at the front selling pastries, sauces and local merchandise. They seem to put on a lot of events too, from music to talks about safely foraging mushrooms. Coffee was excellent and they offer some veggie and one or two vegan options. Be sure to get there before 11am if you want breakfast, or they re-open the kitchen after 12 for lunch. Will definitely be back next time I'm in town.

OK, ignore the wait you may have on a busy day such as a Bank Holiday.. You will be rewarded by some FANTASTIC FOOD, served up from the talented kitchen crew in the smallest kitchen. Then, served up to you by the great staff, always on hand but never hovering to close to be intrusive, top service. Food is fresh and delicious and wonderfully presented. Fabulous place to spend an hr or so eating Great food..

Love this cafe. The staff are all fab. It's very busy and sometimes you have to wait longer for food and drinks because of its popularity. This is not necessarily a bad thing because the atmosphere is so inviting, and the wait is worth it.

Hidden behind the deli shopfront is a vibrant cafe with great menu and ambiance. Well worth seeking out for somewhere a bit out of the ordinary.

Absolutely brilliant food in a relaxing surroundings. Shared plates that are better than Ottolenghi and at a reasonable price. Great specials and excellent wines and beers. This place is special.

I truly cannot fault this place. Delicious food, warm-cosy atmosphere, and relaxed yet attentive service. We went there for lunch and I would highly recommend the cabbage, brie and peach dishes. Go there. You wont be disappointed!

Excellent food and service!! Can't fault a single thing. Wish I lived closer so I could come every week. Trout with basil sauce (!!!) was amazing, as was the Basque cheesecake with plums (!!!). But really you can't go wrong with anything you order.
