Came here in search for a dinner after shocking service at Carrington Grill. After a very warm welcome, our food was served within minutes and tasted delicious. The cocktail selection was vast and the drinks were equally delicious. Highly recommend.

Poor service, took 30 minutes to take drinks order, and another 15 minutes to order food. The food order was wrong which we sent back and they tried to charge for it even though we had sent it back. Affrogato and coffee delivered in glass cups balanced on too small a saucer and both tipped over spilling most of contents over the table. Tired to charge for these too. Then they added a £25 tip. Busier because Cibo was closed for refurb and they couldn’t cope with the number of people. Very disappointing especially as it was a big celebration. Won’t be going back

This was the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. I think the picture speaks for itself - this ‘paella’ looked and tasted like a burnt microwave meal. It was also freezing cold after waiting for 10 mins for my friend’s meal to arrive. Combined with the exceedingly rude staff, poor service and wet chairs this was all in all a dreadful experience. Disappointing all round.

Tasty food great location friendly staff what more could you ask for! I don't eat out alot because most restaurants produce bland bog standard food but sotto has restored my faith!

This was a truly dreadful experience. We had booked and confirmed in advance as we were a large group and it was a special occasion. The restaurant also rang to confirm on the day. We arrived on time to find our table was not prepared even though the restaurant was half empty. We were asked to stand at the bar with very restricted space and wait while they pushed tables together and laid places. They served our drinks and then left us for nearly an hour, even then we had to ask for someone to take our food order. The food was average at best and not very warm. By now it was getting late and the waiter clearly wanted us to go. We were asked if we wanted dessert but be quick because the kitchen was closed. Then one dessert had to be returned as it was not a full portion- looked like the leftover scrapings of the dish! The waiter then said “did you want any more drinks because we are closed now” so at this point we had had enough and got the bill. I asked them to remove the service charge (which I have never felt strongly enough to do ever before) as it had been an appalling experience and no service to speak of, they said no they couldn’t remove it and I had to pay it. At which point I requested the manager deal with it because that is just not true. To her credit she apologised and removed the service charge. The whole evening was extremely disappointing and we were made to feel like we were an inconvenience to the staff. This despite the delays being caused by them not us! Strongly advise to avoid this place as we all will be doing in future!

Lunch menu 👌 We visited midweek and had the lunch menu. Service was great, food delicious and superb value. It is our first time dining in the outside structure! It is so well built and looks so smart. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. We will be back soon!

We stopped at Soto on a Tuesday evening on the off chance it wouldn’t be too busy. There is an outside dining and bar which is covered by a permanent canopy structure, this is where we went to get a table and end up singing (we had waited inside for a few minutes at the other part of the restaurant across the way). We were greeted and seated very quickly. Although you are totally sheltered by the elements, there are heaters inside the structure to take that chill off. I had the linguine alla calabresse which was stunning. Great portion size with plenty of prawns in the dish. Worth the visit!

Utterly shocking service , we waited 1 hour 40 to get our food after waiting at least half an hour to give a drinks order and it was only after we asked the waiter to check on where the food was at, it came within minutes, burnt to a crisp after sitting under the hot lights and almost inedible. This was a business lunch and the only offer to remediate was to bring replacement food. Like people have that much time on their hands - utterly going to tell everyone I know in corporate Manchester about this.

Booked the table for a little bussines trip with my company and we were speechles with the food, have to say that is a nice and welcoming restaurant, stuff very kind and nothing was too much for the, drink were amazing Definetely Ill come back with my family as they have very good option and the terrace is amazing

Very enjoyable lunch sat in sun. Attentive service. Very good food both in terms of quality and quantity. Great lunchtime deal of tapas and pizza: had mussels followed by pizza pollo. Definitely coming back and happy to recommend.

Upon arriving we ordered drinks of the menu . Only to be told that they had no gin or champagne . We waited sometime to get something to drink Having studied the menu , we decided to order several tapas dishes as I imagined they would be the real deal as the owner was Spanish ! Included in our order was Gambas alajillo . Sea bass and patatas bravas . My partner had several of the gambas which were clearly off . The sea bass also had a bad odour to it. The patatas Bravas was basically fried potatoes in a small bowl , very dry. Having eaten Spanish and Italian tapas many times over the years , this meal was a very attempt at . When the waitress came over to ask if all was well with the meal , I told her the truth about the poor presentation , lack of hygiene and food standard , Upon presentation of the bill in excess of £60 I asked if the bill could be reduced as we had an extremely poor experience . The owner came over shouting the odds , threatening to call the police if we didn’t pay the bill . We tried to reason with her but she just gave us abuse at which upset my partner and seeing my partner upset I just paid and left . The owner is a disgrace to her industry and country of origin and should be ashamed of her behaviour . To cap it all my partner was ill the following day. Avoid at costs Avoid this place at all costs .

Food and service good enough although food took quite a while to come. Being seated outside wasn’t good during February in the North West of England. The outside temperature was 2 degrees at most and we were freezing. No option to sit inside as this appears to be their “normal” arrangement and restaurant itself appeared to be full. Quite noisy music so difficult to chat to each other. On the plus side, being allowed to take our own cake for the birthday celebrations was very much appreciated. Take a big coat and gloves!

Visited in November with friends . I am not sure how this restaurant has ever received good reviews . We were put in the outside section where the music was so loud we could barely speak to each other . The food is bland and average, definitely not authentic like it claims ! I visited here with a group of friends and from the second we walked into Sotto we felt like everything was taken care of, the staff were SO attentive and friendly, our cocktails were so incredibly delicious and the food, even better. Came with friends to see the new sotto garden set up and there were also some super cars there which was a really nice touch. We tried quite a few different cocktails and they were all so so nice and looked so pretty as well, we only had nibbles to eat but even they were delicious! Can’t wait to go back and try the sotto restaurant and try some more food!

Went to sotto with the gals for brunch. Best brunch we’ve had in a long while! Food is super super good, staff are fully on it and the vibes are top tier! We loved sitting on the terrace! Perfect on a hot day!

What a fabulous addition to Wilmslow! We sat outside and also inside on different occasions . Lovely helpful staff. Fantastic food and wine, cocktails are great also . Varied menu and everything we had was really good.

To be honest the seating outside is great but I have never felt so unwelcome. For the start even getting a drink of water was an issue and the lag in everything was testing. Drinks and food were spilled on us and generally the staff seemed annoyed we were there. Shame as good was not bad but won’t be returning.

We went here with very high hopes after driving past for ages.Took a seat and after a while a staff member came over. Ordered 2 drinks. And waited.And waitedAnd waitedA good 25 minutes later I popped to the bar to see what was going on.They blamed the fact they were busy - it was not busy and only like 4 tables occupied.Finally got drinks!Very expensive for drinks and the food looked unjustifiably expensive Also!Again, as per the title, don’t know what the fuss is about ! Better places by miles to go to in Wilmslow.

This was our first experience at ‘Sotto Wilmslow’ and disappointingly not a good one. In fairness to the staff we did arrive 20 minutes early for our reservation, it was busy both inside and outside but they did seat us more or less straight away.. but that was about as good as it got.. Our table was positioned next to the bar, whilst we waited for the menus glasses were dropped and smashed, cutlery was dropped and a member of staff became quite vocal and rude to her co-workers regarding the clumsiness.. the noise was unbearable..After 15 minutes we were given menu’s and asked if we would like a drink.. I ordered a litre of Red Wine Sangria. The couple seated next to us told us that they’ve waited an hour for a Gin & Tonic..Whilst we waited for the Sangria more glasses were accidentally smashed and more items dropped. When the Sangria arrived the glasses were warm and it tasted as though it was made with Ribena rather than Red Wine.. Unfortunately this was the last straw, we couldn’t cope with the noise, mayhem and disorganisation from the staff. So we decided to leave.. Maybe it was a ‘one off - one of those nights’ experiences.. I’ve heard good reviews about the food at ‘Sotto’ so we will probably try again in the future, hopefully for a better experience.. but this first one was definitely not a good one..

My first time here, I did enjoy the food but as others have said the portions are quite small for the price. . The service was very slow but the staff are lovely .I could not get over the Price of the whispering Angel £55 is extortionate fore this wine that cost £ 16 or £18 at the most in the shops , So Not a place to go just for a bottle of wine.

Food was good but service was slow and portions were small and expensive, if your worried about social distancing don't go there all tables were full and not 2 metres apart, 10% tip added to bill, its my choice if I give a tip for service don't just assume your entitled to it

Met up for lunch with family friends. We sat outside.Location was great. Parking nearby . It was a Sunday so parking was free.The food was well prepared and the presentation was on point. We almost all wanted seconds . Very friendly staff who genuinely wanted to make sure we were satisfied.I highly recommend this place

Had lunch today as we were passing through so hadnt checked out previous reviews. Food was fabulous for the £13 a head. Had a tapas each then a pizza. The food was obviously hand made and wonderfully fresh. If it were closer to home we would definitely be regulars

To be fair only just re opened after lockdown, but service not great, starters inc cheesy garlic bread very nice, but had to ask for butter for the mixed breads. 5oz fillet steak very nice, tortilla was a bit too sloppy in the middle for us. First time in 50 years I couldn’t eat a chip, queried what they were cooked in & reply was sunflower oil but tasted awful. Expect to pay £9.50 for a single brandy. The lady in charge was very apologetic & took tortilla off the bill tbf. Not too happy having over £10 service charge automatically added to bill. May try again when normal life returns in a few months

The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, making for a very elegant evening. It is small and intimate, especially upstairs - I’m not sure how stringently the 2m social-distancing rule is adhered to with regards to the separation between the tables...All members of staff were, however, warring face masks or visors.I met my friend, who was already seated, upstairs, and our drinks order (just tap water), was swiftly taken. We were served throughout the evening by both a waiter and waitress, both of while were young, lovely, and very professional (even asking if we were over 18!). We were asked if we were ready to order food, but we were not, so then we weren’t rushed but left a good while to chat amongst ourselves. When the waiter did re-approach the table to take our food order, he very politely withstood my indecision as I jumped between the chicken or vegetable paella...(in the end I went for the vegetable :) ).The food was very quick to arrive, and was absolutely stunning. My friend’s pizza vegetariana looked great - a really authentic dough with charred crusts, a good assortment of vegetables on top, and a good portion size (big enough to be great value for money, but not too big as to overwhelm). My paella was outstanding - I have never had this dish before, nor have I ever dined at a Spanish restaurant, but Sotto has set the bar pretty high! It arrived in a wide, piping hot iron pan - large in diameter, but shallow in depth. The rice was so so flavoursome - it’s texture was in between sticky rice and abborio rice; tender in the middle of the pan, and crispier around the circumference. There was a great mix of vegetables in the dish (green beans, sugarsnap peas, peppers, mushrooms, broccoli, and probably onions too(?)) that were all cut up into just the right size, and cooked to perfection. The broccoli was especially delicious - so juicy, it had just absorbed all the flavour of the dish! It stayed nice and hot because of the iron pan that it was served in, but I ate it super fast anyway because it was so good!Our empty plates were taken away, and we were asked if we would like to see the desert menu. We declined, and then the waitress asked if we would like the bill. We declined, as we were happy to just sit at the table and chat. Nevertheless, at 7:51pm the waitress placed the bill on our table - bear in mind that our reservation had been a 6:30pm reservation. I did not like to feel rushed, but I think the waitress insinuated that they had an upcoming reservation that they wanted to seat (I do not think this was the case, however, as the neighbouring table had arrived before us, and were soon to leave, leaving their table free). So we asked the waitress if we could have the table for a bit longer, if we ordered something else. She agreed, so my friend ordered patatas bravas, and I ordered the fritto misto.The tapas dishes arrived soon enough, and were good. My friend’s patatas bravas looked great - the perfect shade of golden brown, and a really generous portion size for £4.95, with two dips to accompany it. My fritto misto was great too - the portion size was perfect, not too much, but plenty to leave me feeling super full after the paella. The prawns were super super juicy; the zuchinni was tender, but could of perhaps used a bit more batter (?); the calamari were, unfortunately, rather chewy. But, nevertheless, the number of prawns that arrived in the dish, and their sheer juiciness, leads me to say that I wasn’t unhappy to pay the £10.50 for this tapas dish.All in all, the bill totalled to £38.35 for the two tapas dishes, two main dishes, and tap water. I think that this was a very reasonable price - the food was of excellent quality, cooked very well indeed, and generously portioned. The service throughout the evening was professional and efficient - we were never in want of anything, and felt very well attended to - although the attempt to remove us from our table after a mere 1h 20mins was mildly irritating (perhaps, from the restaurant’s perspective, we had not ordered enough food or alcohol to warrant our seating any longer...). Nevertheless, the atmosphere of the restaurant was lovely and glitzy, and it made for a very special, festive evening. I would definitely visit Sotto again, and do recommend this restaurant.

Went here last Saturday night with friends unfortunately the waitress accidentally tipped a whole tray of drinks over us. We made no fuss as they cleaned up the mess. But I had to sit in saturated clothes all evening as they couldnt even offer a towel to dry up the total saturation I had received which was extremely uncomfortable and smelly.To add insult they charged us the full price for the meal including the drinks they spilt and even added 10% service charge for the privilege! Not even an offer to pay for the dry-cleaning only when we said we thought that it was a disgrace the service charge was removed.For such a restaurant thier customer service was a disgrace and the Manager was hard faced and not accommodating right to the end.Even the group of three strangers on the next table offered to buy us a bottle of wine which we duly refused but were grateful for a kind gesture, One which was certainly not offered by the restaurant.Also quite concerning that at no point were we asked if we had scanned the track & trace QR code and no details of our name & contact details were takenWould we recommend -Not a chance!!

So reading other reviews our experience doesn’t appear to be a one-off. The food was lovely, we had a selection of Tapas, Paella and Pizza, all fab if a little rushed, the rib eye Taco was beautiful!! Unfortunately food was secondary on this occasion.We too were told when we arrived that we had the table for 1.5 hours, which is fine if the underlying reason was that tables were limited, but nothing could be further from the truth.The lack of COVID-19 awareness and adherence to the rules, sorry....law, is very disappointing. It was to all intents and purposes a normal “Mad Friday” before Christmas, so much so that we were seated literally back to back with a table of 19, yes 19, on a Christmas “do”. They almost fooled me with the notional 2 inch gap between tables but I’m canny, and the fact that they all seemed know each other and were supplied with Christmas crackers sort of gave it away. No one seemed to give a monkey’s about people wandering around without a mask....just keep those beers flowing.The restaurant obviously feel they are entitled to cash in on the lucrative Christmas period. Please feel free to risk your own health, but don’t ever think you’re entitled to compromise that of your customers.

Fantastic service, staff were so friendly and we were told we could stay as long as we liked which was nice. We all had the seafood linguine which was amazing!! Great atmosphere too! Just wish the espresso martinis were bigger :) will defo be coming back next year!!

I Came to this establishment with excitement and joy, only to be welcomed with disappointment and dread. We were told on phone we had a 2 hour window to enjoy our restaurant experience, yet to our disappointment we were told we would only have 1 hour. This was unfortunate as we were so looking forward to our meal and we felt as if it was rushed from start to finish. The manager did not stop glaring at us and when we were going to order dessert, the manager came over to tell the waitress we were not allowed because ‘our time was up!’ Following this, we ordered an ice cream dessert and my mother in law who has a peanut allergy was told after 15 minutes she was not able to get this ice cream after multiples explanations of the ice cream apparently contained peanuts. Convenient? I think so! I am extremely disappointed with this experience as during this difficult Covid time we were so looking forward to this evening. I hope that those at Sotto have learnt from this experience and no one else will be treated like this again.

We wanted to visit the restaurant after seeing the fabulous menu online. The food was superb. We chose 6 different tapas, all of which were good but two, the ribeye taco and the fried goats cheese were exceptional. Wine was pleasant and good value. Service was friendly and efficient. Only problem was the lack of any Covid consideration. No sanitiser, shared salt and pepper, no distancing, people were being seated right next to each other. We saw several couples arrive and leave immediately when shown to a table back to back with others. There were also people drinking at the bar and not eating. We were lucky as no-one was put next to us until just when we were leaving.

Avoid this restaurant - they advertise ‘50% off Pizza & Ravioli Every Tuesday - Thursday’ on a massive banner outside their restaurant. But when you get the bill, they charge you full price & get offended when you challenge why they haven’t given you the offer they advertise. They even “Barred me from coming to their restaurant again” because I insisted they honoured the offer that they are advertising on their massive banner outside the restaurant. The food is good, but it’s not so good that you want your evening to be spoilt by having an argument about their sharp practice.

Visited here with my wife when staying at a nearby hotel for the weekend. I'm not always a big fan of tapas so the fact I could still rely on good old Italian food while my wife could go for tapas sold this restaurant to me. Really glad we chose this place as everything about it was fantastic. The staff were really nice and welcoming, the restaurant is warm and classy and the food, oh my god it was so tasty! What made it even better was it was very reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to all and I will be visiting again.

Our second time to Sotto, the first was 18 months ago and it was just as good as remembered. The food is lovely and tastes so fresh, service is excellent and prices are so reasonable. We were there the evening second lockdown was announced but the staff were still super friendly and professional you would never have known they were about to close for a month! We won’t hesitate to go back as soon as we can.

The reason I did not give Soto 5 stars is that their Covid compliance is not the best. No sanitiser to be seen and cutlery and salt and pepper on the tables. Also there was only one waitress and she had a difficult job attending to everyone, however she was calm and as efficient as she could be in the circumstances, but we did have to wait quite a while for our order to be a taken. All that was worth putting up with because when the food came it was wonderful! Succulent and tasty calamari and home made crab and crayfish ravioli was to die for - succulent and a delicious sauce - great flavours!

I’m basing this review on 2 visits. Both times, the food has been lovely. Tasty and authentic - the paella is excellent! The first visit, the service was lovely and attentive with explanations of the menu and tapas choices. We felt we were in a nice family-run restaurant and we were welcome guests. Our latest visit was disappointing. No effort was made to create a “covid-safe” environment and when we arrived, I felt quite awkward being sat so close to other diners. One of the waitresses suffers terribly from resting-b-face and I am guessing she doesn’t realise - but when other restaurants in the area make so much effort on customer service and delivering a pleasant experience, this really sticks out and puts me off going again. The restaurant was far too busy for the staff to cope with and service was rushed and frosty. Such a shame - but doubt we’d go again as we didn’t feel welcome or valued as customers at all. In saying that, I don’t want to put people off trying this place out as the food is great and perhaps this review will help management make some improvements.

Really lovely experience. The staff tried really hard and the food was just gorgeous. Our waitress Olivia was just brilliant! She was so friendly and helpful and made our evening very enjoyable. Overall lovely friendly place.

we visited here on a busy Saturday night, I usually try and avoid dining out on a Saturday night as a lot of restaurants fall short with their service and standards at a weekend, but this night was the only mutually beneficial date. Lovely warm welcome received and the service remained excellent throughout. The food was also excellent, we had a ravioli dish, the gambas (what's the sauce?? very delicious!!), charcuterie board, calamari, garlic bread, interesting, half cheese, half tomato and basil and the rib eye corn tortilla. All of it served quickly and was hot. The restaurant was very busy but the staff and owner managed it well. My first time here and will be back very soon. My new favourite place to eat in Wilmslow.

We were served by a lady on Saturday (end of Aug) who was wearing her mask on her chin and not covering her face which made us feel uncomfortable, especially as another table had commented that one of their guests was vulnerable. The food was incredible. I appreciate the attempt at wearing PPE but it's worse to be wearing it so incorrectly.

The food was very tasty we ordered pasta and some tapas. The tables could be spaced out more to ensure everyone is social distanced and so the staff do not have to squeeze between tables to serve. Some of the waitresses were a little unfriendly apart from the lady who greeted us on our arrival. Lots of them seemed very stressed and seemed toBecome angry with one another which doesn’t make for a nice atmosphere!

Sotto has the potential to be excellent, easily one of the best restaurants in Wilmslow. The restaurant interior is clean and modern. It’s food is delicious and has been every time I have visited but it’s service always lets it down. It’s not that the staff are rude they just aren’t very tentative and don’t drive the customer experience. We got seated, ordered some drinks. No explanation of how the tapas works - how many dishes per person etc didn’t take us through the specials (that then I saw as we left). Then every time we wanted something we had to catch someone’s eye we had to ask for the order to be taken, then ask for more drinks (one wrong drink showed up - had waited long enough so just drank it) then ask for more cutlery. Then we had to ask again for plates to be cleared and the bill. We probably would have had more drinks and dessert had we been asked but it just felt like we were constantly trying to get the attention of the staff. It’s need better organisation and someone running the shift. That been said the food is delicious. The menu is extensive and well priced. The paella is particular delicious. In terms of covid - it’s ok. I would recommend staggering table bookings to achieve better social distancing this might also improve overall service.

First and last time at this place! Staff were very rude. When we booked a table we checked that the restaurant was child friendly which we were assured it was. After arriving and being seated we were then asked to move upstairs to sit on our own because “ people have come for a relaxing meal and we are being distributive” we were treated very badly overall.The food itself was awful also, paella was extremely salty. A Moroccan pizza that just tasted like bbq sauce.Would not recommend.

Amazing little family run restaurant. We live nearby and have returned several times. The staff are really friendly and the food is sublime every time. It's got a nice wine selection, a relaxed atmosphere. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Sotto gave us an experience pretty close to normal, whilst sticking to all the guidelines. Great sevice, lovely food and wine, and a nice atmosphere. It was our first visit, but we will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

The one thing my husband seemed to be missing in this lockdown time was a meal at Sotto so it was great to see they were doing takeaways and tonight we enjoyed lovely pizzas. The set up was organised and pizza put in the boot of the car to avoid contact. Food as good as always.

This was not our first time at Sotto but it simply gets better and better. 8 of us celebrating 3 birthdays on Saturday evening. The food was amazing, great starters followed by mains of Steaks Paella, Pollo Milanese the lot. The service was terrific too. Sotto is the best restaurant in this part of Cheshire including Hale Altrincham and Alderley Edge. It’s great value and a terrific blend of Spanish and Italian Fayre. Thank you for a great evening

Can’t actually say why our experience was so underwhelming, but we left without a WOW. Unfortunately the Tapas selections I chose were unavailable and the result was disappointing , but a doggy bag was available. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary but we won’t be going again.

What an amazing restaurant! We have lived in spain and love Spanish cuisine. Been meaning to try this place for ages and have finally been. They have cruzcampo on tap so the other half was very happy. We shared a starter of mixed cheeses and hams which was delicious. Then we had a mixed prawn and chorizo paella which was as good as any we’ve had in spain and a lobster ravioli which was amazing. Service was fabulous and friendly and all reasonably priced. Will definitely return!

The atmosphere and the food was great! excellent customer service attention! I have been already several times at this place and the food has been always really nice and taste. Risotto and Paella has been great! Wine is excellent as well!

i reviewed this place once before and if anything it has become even better. a plate of foccacia and hams, cheese, to share followed by some delicious home made macaroni carbonara for me, stuffed ravioli for my wife. washed down with some sauvignan blanc and nero d'avola. a lovely way to spend a sunday evening. the spanish owner ( her husband is italian and is the chef ) was very happy to chat which made the experience more authentic

Absolutely amazing food. Had a selection of smaller plates and seafood paella and all of it was gorgeous. The service was also excellent and really friendly. Will definitely be going back. Loved it!

Went for a Sunday evening meal with my boyfriend. The customer service wasn’t great, the waitress was very cold and unwelcoming and evening when we were sat there eating she just glared at us from the bar, although she seemed to be the only person working there so maybe more staff are needed? The food was alright though but just wouldn’t rush back there as we weren’t made to feel welcome. Was a shame as waited so long to try the restaurant.

My 2nd review for Sotto. All I have to say is that this restaurant does the best sea bass in the area. A stunning dish.

Had some tapas and a seafood paella and it was absolutely delicious! So happy there’s a good Spanish restaurant in Wilmslow. My only criticism would be the odd choice of pop music playing in the background which definitely took some authenticity away from the experience, but the food was fantastic.

Nice place a bit quite at the time. Food ok nothing special. Service a bit slow but not a problem. Maybe me but just a comment but something is missing But can't quite work out what? Would visit again.

We first visited Sotto in the week it opened in Wilmslow and were hugely impressed not just by excellent food, but by the passion and enthusiasm shown by the owners. Where others have fallen in Wilmslow, this couple run eatery has gone from strength to strength.

We really enjoyed our first visit to Sotto. The food very good and the service and atmosphere was spot on. How nice it is to fine an independent, family run restaurant of such a high standard.

We were very curious regarding the Tapas offered and received perfectly prepared Tapas with an excellent taste for a good price. Next visit in Wilmslow we will be definitely again at Sotto !!!

Fabulous food , so fresh tasting, everything was excellent, ambience, food, service, only one suggestion get some more liqueur in for coffee, no grand Marnier, makers mark or calvados? Otherwise 10/10

The restaurant is 100 metres from the train station, and much appreciated, we were told, by the footballers who live in Wilmslow. I went for an early dinner with friends, before travelling back to London. Despite our early arrival - some 4 hours before one would normally start dinner in Madrid! - we were received warmly by the delightful front-of-house manager, and ate garlic bread and a variety of paellas.The arroz negro was the best I have ever tasted, with superb prawns and squid ink, and a wonderful socarrat. My friends were equally pleased with their paellas. We will be back.

There's some really good food from which to choose here, and the 5 or so dishes which we tried were all good.

Having booked to spend the weekend in Manchester we looked for a restaurant local to our hotel. On recommendation we made a visit to Sotto.

Some of my family (6 adults and 2 children) decided to try Sotto after hearing good reports. We were NOT disappointed, it was fabulous. The starters were huge and the main courses excellent. My husband said it was the best steak he had had for s long time and I had mixed grilled fish which was amazing. Highly recommended

Visited last minute on Friday night as we had strangely never tried Sotto but eat out a lot in Wilmslow as stay local. We got a table for two no problem. The menu is interesting but surprised not many vegetarian pasta options which is unique for Italian. My girlfriend ordered pizza which she loved, and I ordered the rib eye with a side of chips. All food we ate was lovely, and the wine was nice too. The tables are very close together so perhaps this could be improved and the waiting staff were efficient and polite perhaps could be more relaxed. Would recommend trying for the good food, although atmosphere could be improved a bit.

I did have high hopes for my first visit but was left disappointed, everything was a bit below par. Won’t be returning
