Sorrelles in Surrey Heath

Unfortunately the service and the staff of this place is what let’s it down most. The food was good, not amazing - but good, and served hot. We had the set festive menus and I must say I think it was great value for money. However the staff create a sour ambience, there is no customer service as the team are too busy chatting to one another, throughout our meal we saw each staff member go out for a smoke in front of us outside the venue front doors. This was very off putting as those same waiters were then coming in and bringing drinks to our tables. Not a great look! No management in sight, seems like a bunch of school kids are running the show! I would spend my money elsewhere with a better ambience next time!

Nice decor. Average food and poor service. Ordered a large coke (listed on the menu) they brought a small one. When I queried it they said they only do small. Food was bland, uninspiring. Tasted ok, nothing special. Had to ask for napkins as none on the table setting (every other table had them and no-one noticed we didn't?) We quickly regretted going there... wished we had gone elsewhere. Then got ignored for so long after the plates/glasses were cleared... were not asked if we wanted any more drinks despite them assuming we didn't want to leave (as no bill provided). Approx 7 members of staff and no-one came over, eventually had to ask the person at the bar, and they still took another 20 minutes. This is when the restaurant had only 2-3 tables to serve, there's no excuse! Terrible experience, we will not be going back.

Looks good, food good put such awful service, NO Covid-19 social distancing which I have reported tonight to Surrey police, music far too loud so you have to scream and shout and blokes snorting cocaine in the toilets. DO NOT GO.

This was my second visit, and I was so disappointed the service was awful, we had to ask for drinks, for the table to be cleaned twice, we near got asked if our food was ok, the toilets were dirty, people were in sportswear wearing trainers I really thought this was a classy place... it’s such a shame as the food is really nice.

Nice decor, very attractive cocktail bar with an upmarket expensive Indian menu. Our reservation was for 7pm table for 4. No table available placed outside on a wooden bench, the smoking area in the cold. The manager takes our drinks and food order. 1 glass of red wine and 3 tap waters. One hour later still no drinks, complained to the manager who says drinks are on me, is he having a laugh? Do we get them, no. I am assured we will eat inside. A wall table is empty, can we have that, no that's reserved, are we not reserved? 8.30pm behind us diners have left, is the table cleared, no and offered to us no. . I have to ask yet again. Can we have table Tis, this is my daughters birthday meal. Waiter brings appetiser plates, no we have none on our order. Followed by 2 dinner plates only 2? Then 2 more and then two more. Absolutely no coordination No napkins, like other tables reverted to use the lemon and our tissues, no point in asking for them could have been there until midnight. What a disappointment the hanger chicken is so dry, how long has it been standing, the dishes are so small Forget Covid social distancing the tables are so close, let alone the waiters serving. Sadly it's so late, we forgo he dessert, a sad end to my daughters birthday meal.

Arrived and felt positive, greeted by the manager /owner who was pleasant if not a tad arrogant. We waited over 45 mins to place out order and after 1.5 hours it hadn’t turned up - no apology and others were waiting too. We left and the manager was so arrogant and unapologetic and took our money for drinks without a second thought - we forced him to give us our money back. He was a disgrace. Wouldn’t go back - go to Sanjha instead. I have subsequently heard nothing but back reports and awful things about said manager /owner. It won’t survive.
