No doubt, food is the best Indian in Camberley. However, the service is second to none, I received my order and a side item was missing, so I rang them, within minutes they sent their own staff member (not a deliveroo driver), with this missing item. THE BEST!

Great wait staff, but quite disappointing food, especially for the price. Taste not up to par, and small portions. Onion bhajis were undercooked and our stack of poppadoms was bulked up with handfuls of store-bought mini poppadoms, too. There were lots of people there who seemed happy, though.

Amazing service, have to say one of the few delights in Camberley and one of the best Indian Cuisine we've come across.

Went here for a meal on Friday night with my brother and were not impressed,first they forgot to take our order for food so we waited for an hour or so before we got our food and when we did get our food it wasn't very nice as from ordering the food for the second time to having it delivered took no more than I would say about 15 minutes my rice was lukewarm and the food we ordered tasted bland and tasteless as if they just put a teaspoon of chilli powder in and mixed it all up not impressed with the Sanjah at all and in my opinion not worth the money 🙁

Ordered takeaway was told would be half an hour I called after 60 mins they told me it had left 2 min ago I waited and called again they said it left 2 mins ago again then called again a further 5 mins later they told me the delivery guy had made mistake and gone to wrong address. Awful service such a shame Won’t be trying here again

Love this restaurant. This evening we had amazing food. Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. The problem this time was NOT ENOUGH staff. To long of a wait for service. We will be back 100% BUT please get more staff to cope with the volume of customers.

Tasty & authentic cuisine, fantastic service from the wait staff so lovely to be able to see the cooks making everything fresh from our table. The decor was beautiful with all textures and textiles it really made the experience! Me and my partner came here in November 2021 and have been thinking about it ever since, when we holiday in camberley again we will most definitely be back! Thankyou again to the staff

Oh my good! The service here was incredible! On a busy night, they still delivered top service that is hard to find these days! Aman was our waitress and was 30/10! I hate that I am cashless these days because I would have given a lovely tip! Thank you for a lovely evening!

Worst dinner experience. We spent almost 4.30hrs for nothing 😕 Taste of food is not upto the mark. service experience is worst. The restaurant should be ready enough to handle pre-booked office parties. Literally servers and cooks struggled a lot to handle the crowd. Worst dinner ever.😕😕😕😕

This busy and authentic Indian restaurant is superb. The food is very spicy, more than any other curry house I've been too in Europe. And the cocktails are really good.

Called up the restaurant and spoke to Jack, he was extremely polite and very accommodating. I ordered some food as we fancied a night in with a takeaway. Jack said to give hime around 45 minutes and I remember from the time I made the call exactly 45 minutes later the food was at my door step piping hot. Highly reccomend them for eat it's and takeaway. Their Dhaal Makhani is a huge HIT!!

I ordered takeaway tonight and quite shocked with the portion. Lamb madras is bland and very oily. Rice and nan bread very small portion. I can count 5 pieces of lamb in madras curry and the rest is oil. Food is very expensive and not good value for money. The quality is very poor. Definitely I will not go back there again and will not recommend to anyone.

This was my first dinner out since the third lockdown and it didn't disappoint. Such an amazing restaurant. The staff were so attentive, as always, and can't do enough for you to make sure your stay is perfect. The food is amazing and is really good value for money. Looking forward to visiting again soon!

Authentic Punjabi food in heart of Camberley. Great service, will be returning again and again!!!

The place itself looks great, but so let down by the food, disappointed is an understatement, onion bhaji was very floury, lamb in our dishes was mushy, food was bland, no chapatis! Service charge included in bill, which I hate, had to pay for the multi story car park too.. beer was good though 👌

First disappointing visit! Can't fault the ambiance, crockery and service (even with the service charge fee!) BUT the curry was bland and tasteless! Lassi and cold beer made up for it. Chefs in open kitchen looks professional with their hats but can't cook! Prices higher than most Indian restaurants in the area, NOT WORTH IT! Will not come back again. Live and learn.

Had to order through just eat because there was no number to call. Got there early to collect. Food was already waiting and by the temperature I would say for a while. No front of house, no real service. It's a shame because the food tastes excellent. They just need to get the easy bits right as well. I don't expect to have to warm food when I am there to collect early!!!

Been here numerous times over the years and used to be our go-to place for dinner out. But the recent price hikes coupled with decreasing portion sizes mean you are paying approx £14 per main that is genuinely the equivalent of a side elsewhere. The service in the restaurant has always been OK, a bit hectic and often need to chase the staff for things but the food has generally made up for it in the past. My parents' recent takeaway experience has totally spoiled it for us - firstly extortionate at £78 for two people ( 2x starters, 2x main, naan, rice & poppadoms), but worst of all the vegetable dhansak had actually gone off. Called the restaurant to tell them which went like this.. Restaurant: We'll send another Us: No thanks, the rest of the food will go cold by then and it's put us off now, can we just have a refund for this one dish please? Restaurant: I can't process the refund until 5pm tomorrow because I'm busy with customers now Us: Are we not customers...? Restaurant: If you bring the dish back here now I can give you a refund Us: ...Can we speak to the manager please? Finally spoke to the manager who accepted we were long standing customers who weren't trying to pull a fast one to get a free dish and processed the £13 refund. Camberley needs another similar Indian to open and give them some competition for value and service as they've certainly got complacent.

Great as ever! It's my favourite place to go for drinks or dinner! This time it was a taster evening and the food was on point. Had a few new cocktails too. I'll be back. Again

Was told this place was 'the best Indian in the Camberley area' so we booked. The setting is great, an open kitchen and good decor. The food however was average. Nothing actually wrong with it, other than it had zero flavour. C'mon guys...If you're going to claim to be authentic, you really need to step things up in terms of flavour.

Authentic punjabi Indian food (went with one of my best friends who is Punjabi and recommends here & here only unless willing to drive to Southall). Quality of the entire meal was really good. Meat & sundries all superbly cooked but I felt like all the mains lacked a little umph in flavour. We shared everything between four of us: the Papri Chaat, Mixed Meat Starter, Lamb Biryani, Lamb Madras, Chicken Lababdar & Lamb Mughlai. The Peshwari naan’s and the starters were my favourite. The mains are just missing a standout flavour! Tried a friends Rum Punch 2 for 1 which was really nice and the Bangla beer was a rare touch. Authentic Punjabi music and great service. A touch pricier than expected for an Indian (£39.95 each). I would be back for a sit in meal but it just doesn’t quite have something for my favourite local Indian which has won numerous curry of the year awards but sadly only offers takeaway! Have been back to Sanjha since and enjoyed a different main.

Bitterly disappointed with all aspects of our dinning experience. Food was bland, some dishes where sweet? King prawns were not king prawns and way overcooked coupled with slow service. Will not return

We thoroughly enjoy visiting this restaurant. The quality of the food and the choice of varied dishes on the menu is excellent. The wine menu is good, the service attentive and the prices fair. It is however very noisy. I’m not sure what they can do about it, but it is very difficult to hear conversations at peak times.

We went here for my birthday dinner, the food is delicious and well worth the money, The service is really good and drinks were made fast, They gave us a free cocktail for my birthday which I appreciated, I definitely recommend coming here and the atmosphere is really good

Have been many times over the years, it’s always great food and very friendly service and hospitality, from all the team. We were in here over the weekend, a group of 20 for my better halves birthday, all the food came out together, all tasting mega and not like your ‘typical’ curry houses. The cocktails are all fantastic took really decent drinks, generous portions and really well judged. Thanks again to all the team for looking after us and giving us a great night as ever.

Food was perfect, best curry for miles, staff were super helpful, friendly and couldn't be more helpful. Cocktails are also amazing. Every time I go I have something different and I have never been disappointed!

Always an amazing time here. Food is great, staff are friendly, and they make brilliant cocktails. Add on top of that the 2 for 1 happy hour, and you’re in for a good time.

Just ordered from here. Ridoculously expensive for the portion size provided and food tasted bland. I appreciate food prices have gone up but 13.95 for two and a half pieces of tandoori meat is a joke. Disappointed with customer service.

The restaurant was pretty much fully booked when we visited. The two-for-one cocktails until 7pm were a nice touch, but the bar staff seemed pretty overwhelmed by the sheer number of orders. The quality of the food was, in general, very good apart from the chicken chat starter which wasn’t very nice. Not cheap, but overall a very nice dining experience.

Went here on a group curry night and had such a great evening. I had booked online and got a courtesy call 2 days before to check all is good. When we arrived there was friendly staff who greeted us and showed us to our table where our drinks order was taken and was informed of 2 for 1 on cocktails till 19:30 which we took advantage of. The venue looks very authentic and you can see the chefs preparing the food. The food came out in good time despite it being very busy on our visit and came in good portion sizes. The food was so tasty and flavoursome and had the right amount of spice and not overdone on the chilli's. I would recommend booking for a Saturday night as was near capacity, but staff cope effortlessly and food was coming out in good time............I would definitely return here again.

We went in with both a gluten and nut allergy in our party and were so impressed by the attentiveness and communication of the staff when dealing with these! It was one of the best restaurant experiences we have had regarding this, and the two guests with the restrictions were able to eat with reassurance.

The restaurant area was really well decorated in the right mix of modern and traditional, but all really tasteful. The waitress was immediately attentive, provided poppadoms and condiments, took our drinks order and all arrived within 5 mins. We were left to chat and the waitress was still attentive when she could see were were ready to order. She also asked if we had any questions about the menu. She really was very good - professional and welcoming. Drinks: great variety, nice wines, beer on draught. Our food arrived in good time - the right mix of not worryingly quick and not too slow. The food... Poppadoms: were great, crisp, not greasy, good quality, spicy ones on request. Nice condiments which felt home made and fresh - NOT out of a bottle! Lamb Biryani: generous pieces of lamb, lean meat, well spiced, the rice was fluffy. Nice and hot (temperature) - felt freshly made and not mass-produced. Dal Makhni: delicious, good portion, quality ingredients, tasted homemade. Pilee Daal Tadka: beautifully braised, creamy and light, great flavour, again, clearly homemade. All rice was fresh with separated grains. None of this food was greasy, all like it was made by someone who enjoyed their job. These days, good attentive service is rare. Here it was abundant. The traditional 'English' style Indian is a bit outdated, Sanjha has moved on from this and is firmly in 2023 - in the right way - no more grease - no more sauce from cash and carry - this is Indian food made right. The toilets were accessible, clean and well maintained. Last note: the staff kindly gave everyone a fresh rose upon leaving! Lovely touch!

I love curry and have visited numerous restaurants over the years, so I reckon I know a decent curry when I have one. I have never had a better curry than the one served to me here. I can’t recall the name of it, but it was the one advertised as lamb “iron stomach required”, except I asked for chicken instead of lamb, which they kindly did for me. I’m surprised to see a few negative reviews here, because when I visited this restaurant, I found the serving staff were cheerful, attentive and on the ball; the restaurant ambient temperature was just about right (maybe a little warmer than necessary for me, but bearable). Authentic Indian music was playing in the background, The Cobra was chilled to perfection, the cocktails looked and tasted wonderful and the food was everything I expect from a good curry, and plenty of it. OK, cheap it ain’t but then consider the prevailing economic conditions for small businesses. If I have one criticism, it is that the ambient noise of other diners speaking made it difficult for me and other family members to hear what we were saying to each other. My advice to cure this would be to have some soft furnishings on a few walls or some acoustic tilies here and there. I can’t comment as to whether the food is ‘authentic’ because I’ve never been to India/Asia but it was definitely perfect for me.

Had dinner delivered from here this evening and the food was fantastic. We went in during the day to check coeliac/gluten free options and Jack went through the menu with us. There was a slight mix up with the order but they went out of their way to put things right and we were so appreciative. Will definitely be booking to dine at the restaurant soon and try more delicious food.

I went to pick up food from there tonight , firstly the prices online are completely different and I ended up paying significantly more for what I ordered. Second, I got a biryani which I eat very often . The food had no taste , it was spicy (I love spicy food) but just for the sake of being spicy. The sauce had no taste whatsoever. I didn’t finish my food I ended up having to cook which defeated the pong of ordering . Very disappointed, and I feel out of pocket .

Worth booking in advance at least at weekends. Great atmosphere, prompt friendly service and tasty food. New local favourite and Camberley town centre location gives it an extra energy.

The food and cocktails are great, but the service is terrible! We spent £111 for 3 people the bill came without our request and weren’t even offered the dessert menu! It was like being at a fast food restaurant as we were only allowed to stay for 1 hour and 45 minutes! That’s a lot of money to spend for such a short stay! We have been here a few times, and have had no issues, but I think this will be the last time! Such a shame….

I was recommended this restaurant by a former Gurkha for its genuine north Indian dishes. Having gone to “Indian” (Bangladeshi) restaurants for years, it was great to try new dishes and not be faced by the usual balti, jalfrezi, madras, vindaloo options. Highly recommended.

We ate at Sanjha this evening, great atmosphere, the food was amazing full of flavour, we had, chicken korma, chicken rogan josh, pilau rice, mushroom bhaji, onion bhaji & peshwari naan, great value, nice size portions too. Our waiter a young lad called Joe was first class, attentive, chatty & professional. He checked on us numerous times. Highly recommend....

Visited here at about 9pm on a Saturday night. Great atmosphere, attentive service and wow the food was incredible. We ate from the set menu which was really good value for money - we ordered extra samosas to come with it but we really didn't need them. We needed to take our leftovers home and we both left feeling soooooo full. Cocktails are fabulous, and 2 for 1 at certain times of the evening so we made the most of that...! Only slight gripe was that staff were moving a lot of the tables and chairs around, probably because it was later in the evening. In terms of cost, yes it isn't your average priced Indian restaurant but then you're not getting average Indian restaurant food! The set menu for 2, extra Punjabi samosas, 2 pints of Cobra, 2 cocktails, 1 gin & tonic and the bill was less than £80. Good value in my opinion. Definitely worth a visit!

My wife and I have been here before although not for sometime. We popped down on a busy Saturday without a confirmed reservation and were promptly seated. The food and ambience was excellent. We have the bhel puri, papdi chaat, pakoras, lamb bhuna and Punjabi chicken curry. Everything was well spiced and tasty. A special mention to Joe who was the young guy serving us. Too many places seem to employ disinterested or not enough staff and think poor service is ok - Sanjha isn't one of them. Joe was exemplary, immediately came over to introduce himself, looked after the drinks quickly, wrote everything down (why do people think trying to memorise an order to get it wrong is trendy) and was a great example of how good staff can elevate a dining experience.

We picked up a takeaway from this restaurant, they state they are authentic Punjabi food. Sadly this isn’t the case. Bland food nothing like the Punjabi restaurants I’m accustom to, more like a bad Bangladeshi style oily takeaway. Definitely will not be going back here,...

Super expensive, I appreciate food prices have gone up but 2 mains, 2 sides ls and a naan for £47 is crazy. Adding insult to injury there was barely any chicken and what was there was very small pieces. This used to be my favourite restaurant locally, sadly I won’t be going back!

Lovely food, portions were certainly large enough for me, and I like my food. Cobra on tap, will deffo return here when next in Camberley. We had poppadoms, main course and shared rice & a naan. Quantity was just right :)

Food was Fantastic. Authentic, spicy and just delicious. We ordered the Punjabi chicken. Highly recommend. Being Indian myself, I can give this place my seal of approval of being authentic. Only negative comment about this place is, it is pricey! Usually I share a curry between two people, but the portion size was small. Just enough for one person. Also, charging over £4 per naan and £2 per chapati is shocking. I would still go back here as it's hard to find a place which cooks proper authentic Indian food. I just hope they increase their portion size and reduce the price of naan and chapati to an appropriate level.

This was our second visit in the last few years. The food has been great on both occasions. Credit to the chefs. Sadly the service was simply wooden. No personality, no interaction... We attempted a joke with our server (L waitress) and it completely fell on deaf ears. We left a tip, as I wouldn't ever not... However we really felt it wasn't earned on this occasion. We were celebrating the end of some significant health issues and this was our celebratory meal. The food was great, sadly we felt let down by staff with zero personality.

We booked two days ago and asked specifcally about an allergy and were assured the chefs can make something to acommedate. When we arrived today and sat down I was offered "Chips and Peas". We walked out.

Really good food with great service. I had the set meal number 1, the starters were lovely fresh and tasty.. the mains were good too apart from the butter chicken which wasn't horrible just smelt and tasted of tomato soup!

I’ve been here several times, eaten in and take away. I’ve always loved the food, it is lovely. Would highly recommend. Tonight I ordered two curries, rices and naan, which ended up being about £10 more than the last time. There’s no denying the food is lovely and I know the cost of everything has gone up. But I feel when you are charging the same for a vegetarian meal as a chicken meal, just seems very steep.

Tried Sanjha tonight for the first time tonight and it's a no from me. Very small portions and expensive. The beer wasn't cold. The food didn't taste authentic - madras with all the spice but no flavour, rice was raw mushroom and raw onion with plain rice put together in a bowl. The "chapati" was basically a very thin wholemeal wrap which could have been from Sainsbury's. We weren't asked how our meals were, when I complained about the uncooked rice, it was just taken away, I had to ask for it to be taken off our bill, which took forever. No manager came over to check in about it, nobody even said goodbye to us. All in all, extremely disappointing and £50 down!

Great night with a bunch of rowdy schoolmates. The food was incredible and the waitress was skilled, witty and very friendly in dealing with our table and making our night what it was. Will definitely be returning for a quieter more relaxed and cultured night. All of us lads couldnt fault the staff, restaurant or delicious food, All top notch, thank you.

I just ordered online from Sanjha …. Very low quality and taste …..garlic naan dint have any garlic on it the butter paneer and lahori paneer were equally bad but the worst was chilli chicken. Wouldn’t recommend

one of the most inauthentic indian restaurant ever. would’ve given 0 star if option allowed. “papdi chaat” has no papdi, “dahi puri” is literally just dahi and puri, no stuffing whatsoever. “potato paratha”very thick with almost non-existent potatoes. very bland tasting food, no spice, even savoury foods are very sweet. could not believe how they’ve downgraded indian cuisine to this level. absolutely would not recommend. it’s a no go zone.

Wonderful lamb biryani with vindaloo sauce, hit the spot, quality of the lamb was great, melt in the mouth. Ice cold cobra. Kulfi for desert, left a happy man, another lovely meal from sanjha, who maintain great standards of food every time I visit.

I took my family out to dinner as it was my wife’s birthday 8th May. When the bill came it had a few things that were wrong. We ordered 2 takeaway nans that amounted to £14 pounds, the actual takeaway price was a lot less and we were charged main dish price for a side dish. The waiter was not even apologetic and this has spoilt our evening. Also the food took too long to arrive to the table and no indication given how long it would take. Very disappointed and I will not going to this restaurant anymore.

Only had a takeaway from this Indian restaurant. Wasn’t the best of curries. Camberley Tandori on the high street is a much better quality Indian.

Love it here, friendly helpful staff, authentic delicious varied menu and a decor and atmosphere that transports you to warm exotic places far from home. Highly recommended

Great decor, weak food. Everything tasted watered down (dips, rice, curry), hardly any spices used and nothing was adequately seasoned. Really nothing special here and there's way better across town (though it doesn't look as nice inside, food is so much better). When airing my thoughts about our meal (when asked!) I was *told* that everyone else usually thinks the opposite and that it's normally said to be too spicey. Forgoing the fact that spicey and spices are different beasts I don't feel it was professional to essentially be told there's something wrong with my opinion, when I've been asked for my opinion. I wasn't aggressive and didn't push for money off. She assertively, borderline vehemently defended the food that she hadn't eaten. Why do this? Lastly, we had made a reservation and arrived 5 mins early. Just before we arrived the hostess gave someone a seat at our table to wait for their takeaway. There were at least 5 other tables she could have used for her / she could have sat us at a different table but instead we waited at the desk for 10 minutes until the takeaway was ready. Then, as happy hour was technically over/ending we we rushed into ordering drinks before some of us were settled/seated (albeit some were phaffing). Otherwise, for it being barely half full at 7:30pm onwards it was So loud we could barely hear each other. Maybe something to do with the acoustics? *Visited early Feb22 with a party of 4.

Misleading Customers with pricing n bottle measures . In Menu Drink 660 ml £5.80 ordered. But 620 ml was served and bill charged for £5.80. Noticed while drinking and called bill to see how much will I get charged and happend exactly i was expecting. In bill it was clearly say 620 mil item and charged for 660 ml. Called for manager but he refused to come and sent sn answer with serving girl "manufacturer has sent 620 ml for same price" a bit confused with amswer 🤔. 2nd call Asked manager to come, but he refused to come but this time sent with discounted £1 from the original bill (£ 21...) and sent another bill (£20...). 3rd call why your manager is not comming to answer serving lady said He is busy.... Question is how many people have over paid without noticing. Management is responsible fot this known but didn't cared to answer. No point for me to get into discussion. Paid and left the building. Hope some answer in the public forum.

Food was nice but overly priced. £15 for 9 poppadoms is a joke. We ordered roti and it came with butter when we never asked for it. They came back with roti without butter and did not mention at all that this would be charged for. Spoilt the experience towards the end.

Omg. Took more than an hr just to prepare an order. I have no idea what it tastes like yet but this is ridiculous.
