It's good food. Not overly spicy as but that's perfect so we can share dishes with the kids.

Not great, the food lacked any real flavour, or seasoning. Certanly no dish had any heat in it. Pictured is chicken and beef SOMETHING not a clue what. As the pictures show, it looked less than appealing. A lot of sauce, very little meat. The premises looks like it has fallen on hard times, and was 100% empty when I went. I am Bradford based, so I know a good curry. The dishes reminded me of tins of "big curry" from my student days.

The most worst restaurant I had experienced. If anybody familiar with real Indian cuisine , pls do not get into this it would be a disaster. Staffs means only two we saw , both were very adamant and unprofessional. Quality of the food was deeply sad . Who ever goes into it , pls check the bills carefully bcz they will charge you for nothing , so always be vigilant on dish u make order and quantity. Taste of Indian dishes were really bad . If you try to point out something u order they show their real adamant face and actions. So I would request once again if anybody familiar with real Indian cuisine pls do not go. We spent more than £200/- but was disaster. Whoever not familiar with real Indian cuisine, for them it would be a nice bcz they don’t know.

The butter chicken was creamy and you could taste the coconuts and the chicken chunks was very tender and it tasted delicious. And the boiled rice was soft and fluffy The chips was hot and beautiful cooked to perfection. the nan bread was delicious. Will definatly be orderering from her again. well worth the money. can't rate here high enough excellent place for a meal.

Went here with family, customer service was brilliant from the moment we walked kn, staff ensured we had everything we needed and were consistently friendly throughout the night. Food was great and portions were very generous. Good selection of drinks to choose from at the expected price.

Delivery was great. Driver super polite. And the food was piping hot. But, blimey, it was bland. Needed salt. Needed some sort of a vague hint of heat. I live in Glasgow so am used so some decent spice but this was devoid of any pep at all. I’ve eaten hotter KFCs. So this is perfect if you’re in a rush and have the palate of a five year old girl. But otherwise order at least 3 times hotter than your normal curry.

As an Indian, I feel compelled to warn others about this deceptive establishment. This restaurant falsely advertises itself as an Indian eatery, but it's actually Bangladeshi cuisine - a significant misrepresentation that affects the entire dining experience. The food quality was subpar, falling far short of authentic Indian flavors. Dishes lacked the depth and complexity I'd expect from genuine Indian cuisine. For those familiar with Indian cooking, the difference is glaring and disappointing. Beyond the food, the service was shockingly poor. The staff exhibited a rude and dismissive attitude throughout our visit, making the experience even more unpleasant. Their demeanor was unwelcoming and bordered on hostile at times. To make matters worse, they enforce an bizarre and inflexible ordering policy. You're required to place your entire order upfront, with no option to add items later. This rigid approach feels more like a fast-food joint than a sit-down restaurant, and severely limits the dining experience. As someone deeply familiar with Indian cuisine and culture, I can confidently say this is the worst "Indian" restaurant I've ever encountered. The combination of misrepresentation, poor food quality, rude service, and inflexible policies makes for an entirely unsatisfactory experience. Save your time and money - there are far better options for those seeking authentic Indian cuisine. This place is a misleading disappointment at best, and feels like a deliberate attempt to deceive customers at worst.

Everything spot on except for the chips. They were dry and hard.

We ordered at 5pm to pick up at 7pm only to be told when we arrived it would be an additional 40mins wait

Unfortunately it was not great. Mixed tandoori was dry and tough. Dhall was bland with little flavour. Egg and pea rice was just OK. I appreciate the fact they had to deliver out of town, which no one else did, but overall it wasn't worth £40. Ordered on a Saturday night, 8.45.

Super welcoming and friendly staff. Food was delicious and very generous portions. Poppadoms were tasty and fresh. Highly recommended.

Very poor service, delivery was late, then discovered 3 portions of chips missing from order. Phoned the restaurant they promised to deliver them and guess what nothing arrived. Will not bother using them again.

Don't bother, customer service shocking, really disappointed as used on numerous occasions. Do not use the app as it doesn't go through. You then have to ring and pay more.

Worst service and the quantity of food was veru less. Waiting time was almost 1 hour for each customer. Lost the patience at point. The food rate between website and dine in was 5% higher. Not recommended.☹️

Went here with friends, there were 5 of us and we got so much food, sorry I dont know what all we ordered but of the 6 or 7 things we ordered nothing was not amazing. The owner was there and he was so nice. The service was top notch. Def will repeat next time we visit.

The food is below average. Being an Indian I can affirm that this is not Indian Food. If this is indeed Indian Food, then I'm British!! What was served to us as biriyani is just fried rice with whatever curry mixed into it. Please do not waste your time here if you crave Indian food. Eat only if you have no other options. Also, the service could be better.

I order from here often and am usually happy with the quality, however this time I was extremely disappointed. lamb tikka dopiaza very bland sauce, lamb itself was inedible so tough and chewy no tikka taste either. ended up in the bin so a waste of money this time. not sure what went wrong with sopna tonight.

We went for a family meal tonight. The butter chicken went down well with the kids. The lamb balti was ok, but not exciting, and the lamb was a bit chewy. The food took an hour, which was not great. The staff were very friendly though. We might go again, as there are not many Curry options in this neck of the woods

Would not recommend!! We were visiting family and placed an order for delivery at 7.30pm, with expected delivery 8.15. After 8 we had an email saying delivery was 30 minutes delayed - so now due 8.45. Phoned at 9pm to be told it had just been sent out (5min drive away). 9.15 came, we phoned again. Delivery finally arrived 9.30. The food was not hot and the flavour/taste was poor too - categorically not worth the wait. A real disappointment. Will not be ordering again!

food was lukewarm, bread soggy and sweaty, meat dry and chewy! I live 10minutes from this restaurant so no reason for it to arrive in such substandard quality. Waited an hour for delivery as per estimate. overall, a disappointment!

We came here last night after a long day climbing Snowdon. The atmosphere was so cosy, the staff were lovely and the curries were all spot on! Very big portions of curry and all Absolutely beautiful, wished we’d had the rest of ours bagged up now and back in leeds dreaming about it! When we’re back over that way, we’ll definitely be returning.. thankyou!

Me and my boyfriend went up snowdon on Sunday. On our way back home we drove past and decided to stop and eat. It was the best Indian we have went had! Lovely staff and the food was amazing

Worst customer service i’ve ever experienced! We ordered through the website and tried to order two mango chutneys but due to the confusing web design ended up paying nearly £8 for two chutney trays we didn’t want with two extra mango chutneys. I called up straight away to sort this but was told there was nothing they could do - even though the website states that if you have any problems with your order then to call the restaurant phone number. So when I arrived to collect, I politely explained this to the manager who was unbelievably rude and patronising and refused to give me a refund or help in anyway. He called me sweetheart and when I said please do not call me that, he replied “what do you want me to call you then?” and he was clearly sexist. After 5 minutes of back and forth he finally gave me some money back for the extra chutney tray and said “are you happy now?” Absolutely disgusting. Totally ruined our experience and what was meant to be a nice treat for my partners 40th birthday. In the name of full transparency, the full was really good 😂

We order delivery from Sopna once every few months and every single time, they are amazing. The food is always perfect, the staff are so friendly and are always welcoming. We order collection usually and they are always right on time. Fantastic place and fantastic people!

Brilliant night at this superb Indian restaurant. Plentiful and reasonably priced. That much food opted to take some home. Friendly staff/owner. We will be back!

We live in the middle of nowhere, in Snowdonia, and apart from a seriously dodgy kebab shop no one delivered - until Sopna started. We’d only had one meal from them before, during lockdown, which, to be honest, was grim. But the delivery we had leading to this review was fabulous; tandoori mixed grill, chicken korma, chicken bhuna, pashwari naan and pilau rice.

Lovely place, good food , nice ambience with flowing music and very good staff

Excellent food served by very friendly staff. The restaurant has always been quiet because we tend to eat early evening so our 4 star for atmosphere isn't a mark down. We use Sopna most times that we visit Llanrug. Never been disappointed with the food, service or the staff here.

Absolutely loved the food...the best Indian takeaway I've ever had plus they were very kind enough to allow me to park and stay in my campervan overnight in their car park. Top top people.

Driven past loads of times, finally took the plunge. Wasn't disappointed. Had the house special, it was amazing. My wife kept stealing spoonfuls. Good Tarka Dahl too.

If you want to spoil your lunch or dinner mood then the best place to visit. I have visited many Indian restaurants but this one was the worst experience so far. Their chef is a Bangladeshi who has zero knowledge of Indian cuisine. The service guy is a crazy man wearing black shirt and black pants considering himself MIB hero but doesn't know how to behave and respect customers. Overall no stars they deserve. Please avoid going to this place until they change their chef and management

Had a takeaway, very tasty and at a good price.

We have had takeaway from here a few times. We live quite close so its convenient but unfortunately the food is of pretty low quality and we stopped going some time ago.

I don't write reviews often but this meal was so poor I felt I had to. I ordered a Welsh lamb curry, it was chewy, fatty, and gristly and the sauce was an oil-fest. Their menu shows acceptance of card payment but on collection I was told they only accept cash. And the cashier cheekily joked of keeping the change, that's one way of making sure you don't get a tip. I won't be going there again.

Food: butter nan, pilau rice, vegetable Bhai and chicken tikka masala were delicious. The mixed grill and chicken Bhaji was not good at all. Service: very prompt and with a smile. Atmosphere: there was a fly in the restaurant and it kept on buzzing. Instead of tissue papers, the restaurant should invest in linen napkins. The facilities were clean Value for money: pretty good. The set meal for two at £40 was very good value for money.

Great place, great food, great people.

Absolutely shocking service. Waited 2hrs for food. Then when it came was stone cold. Called up and got no sense what’s so ever and cheek of the guy. Wouldn’t replace our food. Chips and nan was literally stone cold and that’s no lie. Been going there 15 years. Will never ever use them again. Wouldn’t even send driver back to get the cold food!!!!!!!!! Horrible attitude!!!!!!!

Tolles indisches Restaurant, welches nicht umsonst mit seinen auszeichnungen wirbt. BService mit Herz und Leidenschaft. Tolles preis-leistungsverhältnis. Den Parkplatz könnte man mal auf vordermann bringen...

I’ve read the reviews and find the very bad ones a surprise but, I hope the owner reads them and should reply. We had the best night! I’m from Birmingham, I’ve been to many Indian restaurants and can say that this one was very good. The staff were polite, attentive and friendly, there were no mistakes with the order for 6 adults and all the food came out together and was fresh/hot. The food was delicious with all 6 of us enjoying out choices. I’d certainly recommend this restaurant and will be coming back. Plenty of free parking

Fantastic. We ordered a takeaway and were extremely pleased. Delivery was rapid, food (nine different dishes) was lovely and we'll definitely be back.

Order a delivery takeaway, never arrived they refused to answer the phone ,when I went there to ask for a refund they refused that as well useless, rude and robbing liars.

Really nice food,really enjoyed it. I would definitely eat again from here but they did forget my rice and the poppadoms were abit burnt so I couldn't give 5 star review all the way through. I would recommend this restaurant

Service was 100% but was let down by the food. Most of what was ordered was returned back at the end of the meal. Non of the left over was taken home, everything was left to be disposed off. Not a place I would recommend

Ordered take away, it was banging!

The food was excellent, very nicely seasoned. It was delivered on time by a very friendly man. We’re on holiday so we won’t be ordering again, however if we were local or here for longer we definitely would.

Amazing food and service . We went on a week night the restaurant was quiet . Very pleasant surprised with the quality of our food it was one of the best meals we have had in a long time . Our friends travel all over the world and they said it was one of the best Indian meals they had in a very long time . Would highly recommend you visit . We will definitely visit again

Great food, excellent service. Quieter than expected.

Took over 90 mins to deliver 5 miles. When I rang them up, manager blamed the delivery driver. But the food was hot when it arrived, so it wasn't his fault. Manager was arrogant enough to say"why was I complaining to him about it". Won't be using Sopna again, id go somewhere else if I was you!

Actually a very good place for take away or eat in. We go there about once a month at least. This time unfortunately they left one of our items out and after traveling back only then did I realise. I only mention this because of the exceptional way this was dealt with. We called, let them know. Then set off. By the time I got there, a very apologetic person with beer in hand and extra poppadoms apologised once again and sent us on our way. They were genuinely apologetic and them gave extra to make up for it, a rare thing these days, mistakes happen, it was the first time for us. Thanks for another great curry.

Awful 2 hours 25 minutes and still no take away delivery

Accepted us, two tired and hungry hikers, at 9.15pm last night. Delicious king prawn on puri starter, then the Welsh lamb and leek curry - wow! Very reasonably priced and good friendly service. Highly recommended.

The worst curry, both tasted the same just different colours and they got our order wrong with no apology. We will not be going back.

I am in UK from last 5 years and tried many Asian restaurants. This is one of the worst restaurants I have seen. We left the most of the item as it is and left in 10 min. Attached what we left. The service person behaviour is very bad. Last, please check your bill carefully. We ordered 4 routes and they billed for 14.

Had a lovely takeaway whilst holidaying in North Wales

The staff forgot to bring out our starter, thankfully they did knock this off the bill and brought it us after the mains. Sadly little while later we noticed the plate that had our naan bread on was dirty and had leftovers from someone else! The waiter apologised and said it was someone else's plate and then brought us a fresh naan. On the whole the food was lovely it's a shame they failed on the service and diry plate. Oh and they charged us £7 for a pint of lemonade and some water

Worst food that I have ever ate in my life

Hi The restaurant out right too rude . I have eaten the paneer butter masala in 100s of hotels but this is the worst The tandoori mixed grill half cooked . The only thing good is coke so if you want to drink a good coke you can go there if you want to eat something good and expecting some good manners from staff do never ever go to the hotel

Always 5* food and service. The staff are friendly and attentive and the food is delicious. We bring family here when they visit. If you want great Indian food then this is the place for you.

Best we have ever had amazing quality food and not too expensive I had a vegetable korma and mixed veg rice while my gran had a butter chicken and chips and the pashwari nan was really nice

Worst experience ever, never order Butter Chicken here, if that’s how they make it, please change the name of your dish, its not at all butter chicken. Not recommended unless you are dying to eat anything.

NOT AT ALL Indian food, this is some Bangladesh food sold with India’s brand on it. Highly overpriced. Who pays £.80 for popadoms and 4.70 for the chutneys? The prices are ridiculous. I go to Indian restaurants in Central London and they are still cheaper. Food is not even close to being called Indian. Its something else probably Bangladeshi or something. Starters- - I ordered seek kebabs which I was told were chicken but later discovered it was lamb phew!! - paneer bhaji was served warm(not hot but warm), probably cooked earlier and then just microwaved Mains- - Butter Chicken: worst butter chicken of my life. The curry in it was just loaded with coconut and it was not even cooked properly. For those who have eaten butter chicken, its supposed to a little sweet but never with raw coconut gravy in it. Upon complaining, I got told that this how they make butter chicken. I dint even touch this, and left the whole portion there. - Paneer Saag: So much greasy, god knows from where the cook learnt to make this kind of paneer saag. Again just took a spoon full and left the remaining portion. - Tarka Dal: this was surprisingly delicious and tasted authentic. I did speak to the cook and appreciated for the tadka dal. - Naans were good but too thick and not cooked in the tandoor properly. I had to leave 3 naans of the total 5 I ordered. The restaurant is clearly taking advantage of the tourists. He is so rude to not even apologise for the bad experience I had, instead he asked me to take a chair and sit and keep complaining and I will still have to pay the whole bill. Never seen such pathetic customer service.

Don't be put off by the review score- the food i had was something. We decided to order takeaway tonight as we were both busy with work and nothing left in the fridge as its so close to us. I'm so glad we did. We collected the food and it was hot and fresh. I had king prawn Sambuka which was amazing. The taste was just devine. Perfect balance of the alcohol, prawns and the sweetness of the dish. The only thing is that id prefer the oil to be much less. But i guess this is common with Indian dishes. I'd recommend you try this dish! I also had some Saag Bahaji which was nice too. Partner had Dupiza vegetable curry with veggie nan. In the picture, I put the saag baji with the prawn dish hence the colour. I'm so pleased with the good quality of the dish. We will definitely return and dine in too.

The service was prompt and the atmosphere was okay (music might be a bit loud at times though). The food, however, is not spicy at all; we were a group of 9 and we wanted the most spicy option but all the platters were sweet. Please don't expect even mildly asian spicy food.

Went with a group of eight, had great service and food was served quickly. Portions were substantial and very tasty. The staff were very friendly and attentive.

We just had Sopna Special Briyani. Food was ok. It would be nicer if they added more salt, and make it hotter/spicier. The hospitality also has to be improved.
