Very antique place with paid parking to the side. Beer is flat or some taps won’t work, the furniture is quite old and the place is in desperate need of some refurbishment. Staff is friendly and welcoming.

Bartender extremely rude and hostile. Stated no ‘aperol spritz’ as they were a “student bar”. Said they didn’t serve food even though it stated on the wall food was served until 11pm. Asked for a Sex on The Beach cocktail but he said he couldn’t make it because they had no peach schnapps. We decided on another cocktail instead. It was vile. In the meantime, we noticed Archers peach schnapps behind the counter (3 bottles). We went to ask if we could change current pitcher for what we originally asked for. Charged us the full amount. No apology or compassion. Made us feel uncomfortable and stupid even though we’d been coming to this bar for multiple years.

Student pub cheap beer and authentic but your gran or your mum might not like it

I'm a vegan with a bad allergy to meat and dairy. I was told that the things on the menu were vegan. Sadly I was given a breosh bun and later found out though rashes and illness that they fried the chips with meat and other things together, making it no longer vegan friendly. The service was amazing but the vegan option were very poor.

Had a few drinks and a selection of starters to share. The food was hit and miss. Pizza was a bit sloppy for example, but chicken bites really tasty.

It's a real hit or miss. They're known to do absolutely nothing during and after suspected spikings here. The staff, while some are friendly and good at their jobs, are largely lazy and apathetic (perhaps it's an issue with pay or management). Still strange that they can so easily ignore someone racking up lines a few feet from the kitchen. I'm loathe to admit it, but the drinks are nice and affordable, as is the food most nights. Regardless of this, it's not a safe place to go as fights and spikings are seemingly quite common, and management will do nothing to help victims at this joint. Don't go to this establishment - it's bloody awful.

If i could give 0 star i would. my partner got spiked in the establishment and a few hours later when we returned and requested they look at the cctv so we can phone the police they refused and scoffed at us when we requested. i’m already aware of at least two more incidents of similar nature with the same thing happening including a someone getting jumped in the establishment and then refusing to give anything to police. do not go here if you want safety and security cause they won’t help and clearly support this behaviour

The drinks are reasonably priced and decent in quality, but their blatant disregard for the safety of their clientele is effing appalling. A friend was spiked and, upon requesting the staff take a look at only a five minute window of their CCTV, they outright refused. It seems as though they genuinely do not take the safety of customers seriously and I've heard this has happened numerous times at the infamous BV. It's a real shame, because in past years, the Belle Vue had a great reputation as the go-to affordable and friendly student pub. Nowadays, it's a shell of what it once was. I say this with genuine sincerity: Please do not go to this pub - it is an unsafe place, and the staff have no measures in place to ensure the safety of the people who come here. You would be safer at The Skerries.

Good value food, good place for drinks too, staff nice. Lovely beer garden.

I’ve visited this place the past three year i am apart of the law society and we even have them as our sponsor. Bar staff are lovely i have never had a problem with them, but the manager was absolutely disgusting i was wearing a low cut top and he was staring at my breasts when i told not to because it was making feel uncomfortable he respondent with women should wear more clothing! I then asked him is that why some males think they can touch a women or looking at them the way you are and get away with it when he responded with yes! He said for the second time i WOMEN SHOULD WEAR MORE CLOTHING! I went on to say that he shouldn’t say stuff like that he then refused to serve me and told all members of staff not to serve me even though this man acted disgusting towards me and was drunk himself. I will never visit this pub again and i will ensure that the uni is aware of what happens in this pub so other students are aware and won’t visit. Maybe then this man will question his actions even the bar staff said it didn’t shock them that he said that!

The staff was so rude! They have limited menu (no soup!!!!), slow service, but then rudely kick out the customer who is having food from outside! I will never ever come back here! So low. Your staff really needs to learn how to be polite.

Been visiting this pub for a number of years. It’s always welcoming, and has open mic night on a Tuesday. Food is Ok, beer is reasonably priced and staff are friendly.

£6 is in the low end for a meal, but I still find this a deeply unimpressive burger. No condiments, a few sad vegetables. Patty was decent at least and the service was fine. Still probably won’t eat here again, the fare is just too cheaply made.

Nice pub in Upper Bangor - good Guinness too! Friendly staff, and bright and colourful decor - very much liked the multi-coloured metal chairs.

Nice atmosphere in the pub, but ordering the cocktails tasted watered down, ordered a wrap for £6 and wasn't worth it, was tempted to go to the nearest takeaway and get a better for filling wrap for less the price .

The staff are normally so lovely but there is one male staff member who is incredibly rude. He was so rude infact that we walked out. I also ordered take out a few weeks back and my lasagne was sooo burnt it was inedible, they would of never presented a customer with that charcoal in person so why deliver it

1 star for the pints I guess.. 1 star for the staff. Food is absolute joke would have been better off with a Tesco meal deal or a microwave burger. Don't order food and if you do just get some fries 😂

Me and two friends ordered food, it all came at different times and was tasteless. There were bits missing from the order and the quality was poor. Pints and staff were decent.

Unclean tables, no direction from staff on how to order, makeshift roof collapsed and poured rain water all over half the group, the food and the drinks, no cutlery or napkins given with meal.

Ordered food through a delivery service. I ordered fish and chips, it was missing mushy peas as stated on the menu and the chips were overcooked and extremely salty, to cover the taste maybe? Very expensive for such a low quality meal. The desert was a sticky toffee pudding with ice cream, apart from the very small portion, the pudding was also overcooked. My order was also missing the drinks I payed for. Won't be ordering from them again.

Nice enough little pub - only ever visited for a few drinks, but can't say I've ever had or seen any issues. Punters and staff alike are always friendly, fair prices - can't go wrong really.

A typical student pub. Hasn't changed in 50 years. Great! As it should be. Need real ale though. My local in younger days! Worth a visit.

More than anything else, the staff this evening, 4th of August 2019 were very accommodating. The homemade steak and ale pie was a bit on the salty side but the lads behind the bar and serving the table were efficient and welcoming. We are guests at the nearby airbnb on holyhead rd so this was the best place for a random sunday dinner within walking distance with wifi, toilets and a hygiene rating of 5.

A favourite haunt of ours when meeting up during my sons Bangor Uni years. We always drop in whenever we pass, years after he graduated, for a beer and a game of darts.

Belle is great for everything. Great food, darts, pool, good offers on beer, big outside area in the back with couches and heaters make it very cozy. Open mic tuesdays are always fun. P.S if you know the black haired singer can I get her number please? 😊

So, I just had a quick cider, which took me about 18 months to drink because I'm slow, but it was good and the bar staff were friendly.

This place is amazing, the staff are very kind. Besides that, sometimes there will be singer doing the show. And all the singer are so great!

A relaxing venue and great staff and great entertainment

We passed by and thought we'd have a beer and watch the England match..... Glad we did! Food is fantastic and the Steak &Ale pue was to die for. The chef knows his business and food prepared for others was very appealing. Half time they brough out free sausage rolls and ice pops. Whats not to like about this place! All staff were very helpful and friendly even to us disabled oldies. Cheers folks. Keep it up!

Great atmosphere, live music, cozy pub, reasonably priced. Good selection of gins to choose from. We stayed until closing on Saturday, and had some good banter with who I can only assume was owner/manager, friendly staff are always a bonus!
