Waterfront Bar and Restaurant in Gwynedd

Went by train from Shrewsbury to Pwllheli on Saturday 10 August. Clouds lifted and sun came out as we arrived 11.30am. Wanted to have lunch at the Waterfront as we had done wonderfully in 2022. Alas, despite waiting outside until 12.15, none of the staff seemed bothered to open the doors, so we went elsewhere. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT.

Food wasn’t great, toilets were not very clean. Terrace was nice, service was fine. Has huge potential but wouldn’t recommend particularly for a young family lunch.

Very friendly place, excellent to take dogs, plenty of water bowls filled with ice on a very hot day, and staff kept coming to check if the dogs needed more. Average price for drinks. Didn’t eat so can’t comment about the food

Sat in car park while wife pipped in to ask directions then for git a £60 parking ticket for there car park only in carpark for 13 mins.

Lovely, very tasty, filling Sunday lunch. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Asked if the gravy was glutenfree, they happily made me a batch of GF gravy up, chef went through everything on the carvery menu with me to double check it was GF. Was wonderful to have a nice lunch without the dread that there may be some hidden gluten knocking about. Also a nice little view while sat on the terrace in the sun. If we are every this was again, we will 100% be back and would recommend this place to anyone in the area.

Oh, what a shame, the food tasted amazing but unfortunately there was an hour wait between our starters and main course! The waiter kept apologising for the wait.

Walked in as a family of 9 with no booking and were accommodated immediately. From the beginning the service was outstanding (the best we'd received during our week away.) Ordered 9 different meals, including 5 steaks (cooked to different likings) each meal was perfect, literally faultless. Staff extremely friendly, too. Made our end of holiday meal a perfect experience, highly, highly recommend.

Visited recently for coffee and brownie not great, not clean, cigarette butts in cracks in table, toilets in a bad state door locks not working. No decaf, coffee bitter tasting but brownie nice. Chap that served us was friendly. Wouldn’t visit again.

Had a drink in the sun in the veranda. Beer was very good price.

Very new not a great beer selection but lager was good. Lovely outdoor space. Didn't try the food but looked nice.

Food decent enough but the service was awful it was like they where all new to the job maybe that was it but all of them! 🤔 and no atmosphere at all think that was our first and last visit

Staff friendly and seem overworked We shared a lovely cuppa and a tiny piece of cake,the outdoor seating /view was good however very disappointing toilets which are in need of a deep clean ... plus the dark floor, steps and lighting made very difficult and gives the illusion there is a step where isn't plus etc

Only had drinks as not doing food yet since covid, nice place though
