Absolutely beautiful cakes and the girls where fabulous will be visiting again soon not only do they make you feel very welcome I can’t wait for these to do my wedding cake next year .

I visit the bakery quite often and am never disappointed. The girls are lovely, the cakes are delicious and the brownies are to die for! The afternoon teas are great too

We visited for our annual Christmas afternoon tea - it has became a bit of a tradition with myself & my friend. The bakery is small and cozy so you don't feel overcrowded and it allows staff to be attentive. The afternoon tea was impressive and very delicious. We were offered a range of sandwiches, crisps, a mince pie each, doughnuts, scones and a Christmas cupcake plus a festive drink. We'll definitely be back again!

Have been to this shop on many occasions and always have one of the many different types of cupcakes on offer and a nice pot of tea.With it being a small shop you experience the personal touch a lot more and first class service. There is a good choice of cakes to choose from and all delicious and freshly made to eat in or takeaway. They also do celebration cakes which are freshly made to order and the girls will try to make whatever you want. Well worth a visit and guarantee you won't be disappointed.

My sister, mam and I, dropped in to Songbird Bakery for a cupcake and a pot of tea while in Middlesbrough. The cupcakes were amazing and we even got some to take away for the rest of the family to enjoy!

The girls at Songbird made my daughter an amazing caramel drip birthday cake. From our first discussion they were friendly and approachable, and between us a were able to plan a cake that was just what I wanted - a caramel drip with added macaroons, white chocolates and fresh roses. It tasted as good as it looked! I would not hesitate to recommend the girls to anyone if you are looking for a friendly, efficient service.

My first visit to Songbird was a wonderful personalised experience uncommon in bigger establishments. The service was second to none, the food, in our case a high tea, was delicious and dietry needs happily accomodated for. I fully recommend a visit but make sure you book a table!!!

Visited with the family for Christmas afternoon tea a few weeks ago. The service of the staff and quality of the food was really top notch. The cafe itself is very cosy and welcoming. Mint hot chocolate was to die for Will definitely visit again.

We had high tea at Songbird Bakery, £10 each, booked in advance, we got large hot chocolates, cheese scones, fruit scones, brownies and cupcakes.... so much we could eat most of it so it was boxed up for us to take with us. Great people running this place and baking the delicious goodies, friendly and welcoming and a great feel to the shop / cafe. Highly recommend.

Halloween afternoon tea is amazing.delicious delights.fresh scones straight from the oven.crafts for my daughter.couldnt ask for more.all served by the friendliest of ladies.service was top notch 🌟

An absolutely lovely experience. The two ladies who own it are so friendly and welcoming and couldn’t do enough or us. The cakes, scones and brownies we had were to die for - utterly scrumptious! Immaculate and great service. Lovely place will definitely go again and can highly recommend!!

After eating at fhe superb Fork in the Road, we called here for cupcakes to take home with us for afternoon tea Such a pretty little place with pastel coloured tables and chairs to seat a few customers We bought four fabulous looking cup cakes to take out at £6 for four from a very pretty, smiling member of staff They were absolutely gorgeous A lemon meringue, a malteser, a strawberry and cream, and one my cousin ate in fhe car before we got home! Wonderful sponge and equally fabulous toppings. A bargain price, and a great buy for parties or any entertaining

Visited here with a friend for a cuppa. The cakes are beyond good and I am pleased to see they are now offering their wonderful brownies (and blondies) not just on Fridays (the salted caramel and the Jammie dodger varieties are yummy!). It was quiet in the cafe but the proprietor thoughtfully busied herself in the kitchen so as to not impact on our ability to talk. I can also highly recommend their birthday cupcakes; my son had the pug ones and the football cakes (with Boro shirts with his name and age) for his and they went down a storm at his party. The prices are not unreasonable either.

Since Songbird Bakery opened I've loved visiting. They are so creative with their cake flavours and they always look amazing. Went in for a pot of tea and a cake one day and they couldn't do enough for you. Lovely spot for a quiet cuppa.

Amazing cupcakes! Variety of flavours available! We sampled 6 for £9 which is really reasonable based on the quality and ingredients that must have been used! Would highly recommend! We took ours home but there is space to sit and eat with a drink too!

I love this place! The staff are so friendly and passionate about what they do, the whole café smells of freshly baked sponge and the cakes are gorgeous too!prices are extremely reasonable especially the 2 teas and 2 cupcakes for £5 offer on at the moment. On my last visit I booked to take my daughter for her 6th birthday with a friend and they simply could not be more helpful!

We visited Middlesbrough's Orange pip market and stumbled across this little gem known as Songbird Bakery.The cupcake selection was amazing lots of great flavours, not only did there look awesome there were absolutely delicious freshly baked that morning. I had winter berries... THE BEST CAKE EVER... This little shop is beautiful, with original brick wall, cosy and comfortable.The staff are very friendly and helpful.Well done Songbird! We will definitely be coming back

My husband and I called into Songbird for a morning cuppa , they had a great offer on which was good value at £5 offering a pot of tea and cupcake each.There was a good choice of cupcakes to choose from and the shop is lovely and clean and well looked after. We took a box of cupcakes 4 for £6 home with us as they all looked amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed them. They also do a loyalty card for those who are regulars which is a bonus! Great work Songbird keep it up be back again soon for some more delicious cakes and coffee next time

Visited Songbird many many times and always nice big mug of tea and gorgeous cupcakes. I have gone there with people young and old and everyone gets the same high standard of service and smiles with freshly made cakes....that is why they sell out especially on market day. I would rather go earlier and know things were fresh than made days before.

Popped in here over the weekend whilst the Orange Pip Market was on. A nice selection of cupcakes on offer. We went for the deal of 4 cupcakes for £6. The smores cupcake was gorgeous with a surprise inside. Would highly recommend. Taste really fresh and look amazing too.

I had the pleasure of a visit to Songbird with my family at the weekend and we really enjoyed it. The cupcakes are superb and the shop is lovely. The kids loved the cookie monster cupcakes :) Would recommend to anyone.

I've visited Songbird Bakery several times since it opened, the cakes are superb quality, the coffee is excellent, the shop itself is really welcoming and friendly as are the folks that own it. Love this place! The cakes are out of this world, hands down the best in town.

Songbird Bakery is an adorable cupcake shop on Middlesbrough's fabulous new Bedford Street. The cakes are absolutely delicious and there's always an amazing range of flavours - but get there early so you're not disappointed, because they are very popular! You can sit in and just soak up the lovely atmosphere, or you can take away on your lunch break to brighten up your day. Oh, and you're always guaranteed the loveliest service too!

If you get chance, make sure you visit this little gem of a place. The cakes are fab, the surroundings are comfy and the decor is fresh, modern and welcoming. Songbird has a great choice of cakes and wonderful staff who are helpful and friendly .Can't speak highly enough of the place .

I always try to visit this shop when I visit Middlesbrough, the cakes are unbelievable, and the service is always fantastic, the staff are always very welcoming and happy. They make cakes for customers with special dietary requirements also. I look forward to the different flavors that they offer.

Songbird's cupcakes are by far the best in the area, always delicious and fresh, lots of flavours to choose from. My particular favourite is the lemon meringue one, tarty and sweet all at the same time. Yum!
