Sommar Harborne in Birmingham

I was served by a rude female bartender with a bad attitude who made us our martinis in dog bowls. As customers we pay a premium to have our drinks served as they should be and not in whatever glassware you please. Also, the way you speak to customers is not acceptable, and I'd highly advise anyone to stay away from here and take their time and money elsewhere.

Amt provided great vibes and great drinks for my boyfriend’s work drinks.

Great little place lovely staff.

Somar is little changed from the old Paper Duck, the building needs a refurb and water was leaking from upstairs and probably the roof. The beer is good even if it is mostly Somar beers and I miss some of the selections that used to be there. Service is excellent and I will be returning.

Great little space on Harborne High Street, with a beautiful (and surprisingly spacious) beer garden out the back... a real sun trap in Summer (or should I say "Sommar"!) 😂 Always a good selection of ales on tap, catering for every pallete and taste, and an extensive cocktail and spirit menu for those not into their ales and beers. Child friendly and dog friendly, it seems to be a real community hot-spot in the centre of Harborne. Amy is a local gem behind the bar, and always makes everyone smile and feel welcome! Well worth a visit!

Great venue with a fantastic garden. Amy provides a great service and goes above and beyond to make everyone feel at home. Definitely worth a visit and I'll be back again

Bonito lugar, decoración encantadora, gran selección de bebidas. Encontré a cierto miembro del personal un poco ruidoso y molesto en interiores y la habitación se hizo eco de los sonidos, así que tuve que elegir entre ir al jardín o salir. Nos fuimos.

🚨 DO NOT GIVE YOUR BUSINESS TO SOMMAR!!! 🚨 They scammed me and my sister out of hundreds of pounds after we booked a party at the Solihull branch, after this branches closure. We were told we'd get our deposit refunded, as this was always the deal, but NO. We have been IGNORED for weeks on end, despite numerous calls, emails, and threat of legal action. GO ANYWHERE BUT HERE! We will not stop until everyone knows what this company is really like and it's blatant disregard for its customers!!!

Great little bar, nice atmosphere inside and out. Big selection of craft beers and cocktails. Friendly and helpful staff!

Really chilled vibe and fantastic service. 2 for 1 on cocktails are very good. Not sure if they do food.

I love this brewery ( recommend the Bohemian) and the service at Harborne was first class.: Both expert and friendly. A bit quiet but perfect if you want to be off the beaten track . Sommar has a real brummy feel. Long may it continue.

A very decent selection of craft beers, they also have a comedy night every Wednesday. The bar tender was really helpful and his recommendations are spot on. Nice that they serve thirds as it allowed me to try several IPA's and stouts.

Lovely venue. Great decor. Friendly, attentive staff. Legendary ales. Good onsite brewery visits too with the accompanying food stalls. Highly recommended.

Fabulous impromptu visit to Sommar Harborne tonight. We received a warm welcome and really enjoyed the live music from 8pm. Harrison James' set was fabulous and bar manager was excellent. I encourage all to go and make the most of this great place. We will be back soon.

I went to go to the toilet there are no disable toilets it's against the law not to have them on ground floor. Came down stairs I then went to walk down the bottom stairs and fell down the hand rail not very wide. Bar is not disable friendly but otherwise is a great bar.

If you like craft beer and cocktails then Sommar is definitely a good choice. Went for a few drinks in the beer garden on a Sunday afternoon and Henry kindly let us try some drinks from the incoming cocktail menu. We had a delicious strawberry passion rum based cocktail plus ‘The Hulk’ and ‘Baby Hulk’ with local IPAs at a very reasonable price. I would definitely recommend as a pre or post dinner venue!

Nice atmosphere beers not great but worthy of a second try

Beers are ok, although lacking variations because based almost solely on the sommar brewing that seems to lack imagination. Server refuse to sell pints when drinks are advised for 2/3 , they literally are 'kidding us', regret so much paper duck.

Came here for the first time one evening and fell in love. Amazing selection of beer which is fab because you can find what you truly enjoy and what you don’t. Music is fab if you’re into something a bit different, until about 10 they play pop music. Really amazing bar, I hope it’s one of those independent places that stay in business. Thank you for a great time :)
