First time visiting yesterday! We went because someone who lived in Sherborne for a long time recommended it. It did not disappoint! I won’t be going to any other fish and chip place in the area.

Heavy soggy batter, limp soggy chips and excessively salty. Pineapple rings inedible, tasted absolutely foul

It was my first time getting to visit the new location in Sherborne, and the food and service were superb! We are firm fans of Something Else Fishy, and I'm pleased that the new location matches the quality we've come to expect of the original restaurant. Friendly and efficient staff took our order. Our food was ready in no time, and my god it was delicious. Can especially recommend the Salt and Pepper Squid - to die for! Top choice for fish and chips in my opinion.

Stopped here for lunch with a colleague the other day for Plain jumbo and chips , well priced and portion sizes were alright , although both of us found the sausage a bit funny tasting and a fair bit of grissel but the chips were very very nice !

Perfectly cooked, delicious chips (lightly crisp outer, fluffy inner - perfect). Battered sausage also had the nicest light batter. Everything was cooked freshly to order, I didn't wait long and didn't mind the wait in this friendly chippy. Will definitely be back to try more of their offerings when I'm next in Sherborne. Also I should add the place was spotlessly clean. Well done team! 10/10

My wife and I recently ordered takeout from Somewhere Else Fishy and were thoroughly impressed. The sausages and chips were delicious, reasonably priced, and the service was friendly and fast. We highly recommend it for a tasty and affordable takeaway meal.

Fisherman's Trio was burnt and underwhelming, nearly had cod until I saw how small the portions are... Won't be back.

I ordered a large chip. It was not large, just average. If you're after big portions, go to grass royal fish and chip shop. Update: Ordered large chips again from here. WOW! this time, they were LARGE! And delicious! my only guess is that the server misheard my order last time. Top marks.

It was the 1st time I tried it . The fish and the chips were not oily nice and dry. The fish cod was all white meat no grey bits. I would recommend them 1st class 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Fantastic, friendly service from the ladies in the restaurant would be a good place to start with this review. The fish and chips? Nothing short of exceptional, great flakes with crispy batter that isn’t too greasy. The chips were great too, nice and fluffy with a crispy skin. This will definitely be a regular haunt in future.

First try at this branch and very very disappointed not a patch on Milborne Port. Batter was not cooked enough very greasy fell of the sausage in a heap. Fish not crispy either

Edit: Recently taken over and had a name change. Review is from its former guise, Pisces. My favourite fish and chip shop in town. Good choice on offer and staff always polite and friendly. Parking available outside.

Fantastic service and good quality fish and chips. I even ask for my fish to be cooked a little longer. Nothing is to much trouble for them very helpful staff. Would highly recommend the new owners are great and I wish them all the best

Takeaway only, fish chips, pizza etc... Owner has good sense of humour, either go for takeaway, entertainment or both.

Not as nice or cheap like it used to be and Sherborne only having two chip shops limits choice,last visit the the cod was a bit bland and chips tasteless,always appears busy i would guess due to the captive audience effect of the surrounding estate,owner is very cheerful and happy to serve however,comes no where near Gordons in Yeovil for quality and quantity who are probably the best in the area and well worth a trip to Yeovil for.

The guy was on his phone as I was waiting to be served he was not friendly at all stood on his phone customer service is poor Paul is really friendly tho shame his staff let him down

I got wrong information about closing times. I caught the employees cleaning up after closing. I asked if they were closed, I got a rude "yes". Then I said I had read online they closed and 9:30. The older man got very aggressive and said "I don't even have a website, mate". I thanked him and left. Maybe he was having a bad day, or he is incredibly insecure. There was no need for such rudeness. I wish him luck with his business, and hopefully he treats other customers better, but I for one will not be going back ever. Having lived in the area for 20 years, it's a shame people have to be like this. But it happens all too much these days. Try and be nice people, not everyone is out to get you...
