Ordered the Lamb and Chicken Tikka kebab on Naan bread. What a kebab. The meats were so tasty and tender and the fresh naan and salad complemented it. The chips were also amazing, crispy and fresh. Wish I lived in the delivery radius so I could visit more often. I will be back.

Previously had been in a couple of times over the years and the burgers were OK. I was passing and fancied a Kebab ordered a Chicken Shawarma on pita bread and chips. The Pita bread tasted worst than you get from a supermarket not toasted or anything and the Shawarma was the poorest I had tasted and the chips were no better. The place was busy maybe because there isn't much competition unlike Chorlton and other areas.

Battered cod the best u can find! My partner had the 3 meat kebab and raved about it from start to finish. Lovely staff and easy to order on their app, We picked up (it was ready at the given time) but u can have it delivered. Well done Sols, u never disappoint!

Ordered last week and the delivery man had delivered my pizza upside down and sideways, pizza wasn’t edible next time I ordered I asked if they can ask the driver not to do that again, delivery came earlier than expected and the driver apologised and they had given me a bigger pizza then I had ordered as an apology! They really didn’t have to but was appreciated, spent 20 years ordering from Sols and will continue to do so! Lovely food.

This is a decent chippy, fantastic pizzas and garlic bread, but the chicken kebabs massively let them down, hardly any salad, hard dry pitta bread and the chilli sauce is awful! Always opt for pizza! :-)

Went for our usual chicken shwarma and the shop was full with about 8 staff working, taking orders, preparing food and packing up. The pizzas look really good as do the burgers, we should try something different. Chips are superb and always cooked fresh, portions generous and well worth the wait.

Visited this when staying at nearby Premier inn and was impressed by the choice and subsequently the taste of the food .

Been a couple of times recently and it was very busy with several staff taking and making orders. We always have chicken schwarma on naan with salad. Delicious and great portions. Will definitely return.

I honestly don’t understand how the very few people that have left a less than 5* star review can justify it! Sol’s doesn’t proclaim to be an à la carte restaurant, so if you’re expecting a gourmet meal, don’t choose a takeaway! I have never had a bad meal from here, and as they opened 22 years ago, that’s quite remarkable!

When I saw Schwarma on the menu I expected what I bought in the middle East . Tasty meat filled wraps with fresh herbs etc . The UK version is bloated and fatty and nothing like their mid East counterparts . Ok if you've been on a night out and that's it really . It's a UK kebab shop . Does fish and chips too . And Pizza . Don't expect excellence .

Visited Sol' s after a recommendation from a fussy friend who had been raving about the place for months. I had a few friends around and Sol' s was great because we could all order different things. The pizza was fabulous, the fish lightly battered was delicious and served with great chips. The chicken kebab plentiful with lots of fresh salad. Everyone loved their food. Upon visiting the take away it was very clean, and, the man who served me who I assume was the boss was warm and welcoming and extremely passionate about the food. I would not hesitate to recommend this takeaway to others. My only regret is not finding it sooner.

Absolutely awful the manager/owner is an arrogant piece of rubbish who talks to the girls behind the counter like they are dirt, the chips I had were absolutely disgusting like the potatoes were well out of date, the fish was well undercooked which also made my mother really poorly with an upset stomach and vomiting, DO NOT EAT HERE! Well overrated and overpriced to say the least !!!!

I am the second generation of my family to use Sols takeaway and up until the last two visits I've made, the service and standard of food has been excellent. The last time I visited, one of the items I ordered wasn't in the bag and when I returned it hadn't even been made - granted Mike was very apologetic about this as I know he strives high standards in his business and after the number of times I've been in the past, I let that one slide. Visited again tonight (08/06/2019), the place wasn't busy at all - I was ignored by the women behind the counter for the first 5 minutes I was in there (I'm 6'5'' and 17 stone so not exactly missable), then when one of them did finally start taking my order she stopped half way through to faff about with an order SOMEONE ELSE was bagging up, I had to just walk out unfortunately. It's sad that such a great business with a fantastic reputation can be so badly damaged by disinterested staff. I'll give them one more try in the future but if it's a bad experience again then I won't bother anymore which is a shame as we have been going to Sols as a family for about 10 years now.

Ordered an extra pot of chilli sauce as they always put minimal on. Delivery man spilled pot all over bag. Kebab binned as too bland for my taste.

I work in the same industry and love to visit this place whenever possible. The staff are always friendly and the owner is very friendly too. The takeaway is always clean and very welcoming. Whenever I visit this place it motivates me and empowers more respect towards food. Very very nice keep up the quality and friendly apporoach.

I ordered haddock, chips and peas x2. We have recently had an RTA so are unable to drive and chose Sols for delivery.

A really good value tasty take away. Very much worth a visit. Great Fish and chips. Just up the road from a tesco extra which is very useful.

We ate here just before we travelled, last year the food was plenty full, this year was completely different smaller portions and the kebab was not as nice. Maybe we will try here again next year as I think it was a different kebab.

Visited on a Saturday night and got the kebab deal Portion size was very big and the quality was OK but I would not choose kebab next time. The fish looked good so would try this when next in the area.

The service levels in this place is getting poorer every week too many staff markings orders at each other the owner wants to give each member of staff a job and he or she should keep to it we have also done the home delivery service as well and that no better they either don't get the order right or part of the order comes later or there don't answer the phone

I have been to Sol's every time i visit Manchester. The fish is always made to order and my very fussy daughter just loves it! The chips are always fresh and never old. The kebabs are great and you have many options. Because it is always busy, and the food is made to order you can expect to wait about 10 mins per order. this is more then acceptable as the wait is worth it for the freshness of the food. The owner is a very nice gentleman and runs a great ship! Highly recommended.

I regularly buy Haddock and Chips here and it's always perfect even when the place is very busy...which it often is. Very few chip shops in the area even offer Haddock as an option and some will sell you some other fish just to take your money and think you won't notice. Never with Sols. It's always cooked fresh which means waiting 10 mins but that's fine by me. The chips are good too. Not the best chip shop I've been too (see my review for the Solebay) but the best I've found in this area. Friendly staff and good value.

Top quality food and always fresh 2 Piri piri chicken kebabs and a portion of chips.Delivered for under a tenner?You really can’t beat that A word of advice though. The shop gets very busy at the weekend so delivery can be 45 minutes. So you need to “ring it in” early!

My second time visiting up here, visiting relatives in cheadle, and knew of this from last time. Food sensational. Can not be beaten for quality and value. We all had a big takeout, a mix of kebabs, fresh dough pizzas and lovely tasty burgers. Service with a smile too. All in all 10 out of 10. Highly recommended. Well done Sol's!

I get our kebabs from Sols on a regular basis even though it means to drive a fair distance to get there. Not only is the owner there overlooking everything (and working alongside his staff), but it looks very clean each time we visit. The kebabs are of good size and taste really good. Can't wait for our next visit.

I've had many great takeaways from here and the one I got yesterday didn't dissapoint. The fish was freshly made, crispy and cooked perfectly. The chicken and lamb mixed kebab on homemade naan was well marinated, tender and very delicious and the salad fresh too. I got a chips with curry sauce, again this was lovely. Mike and the staff are always very friendly and welcoming. I look forward to my next visit.

As an American testing all of the fish & chips throughout the UK, I experimented with seaside shops in Wales, pubs in Scotland, restaurants in England, etc, and out of all of my experimenting, I found that I loved Sol's affordable fish & chips more than any pricey option I found anywhere else. I now specifically save my fish & chips consumption for Sol's.

Visited here last night after hearing lots of positive reviews. Bought a small pizza which I must admit, was delicious.I decided to try more of a family meal option tonight, ordered 2 mixed kebabs and a portion of chips to be delivered- what a waste of £16.50.Naan bread was rock hard, salad was soggy and going brown, the lamb was about the best part of this kebab but even that was very tough to eat.The marinated chicken I was looking forward to, was burnt, so I could not taste the spices which are meant to make it delicious, donna meat - very average.Portion of chips was cold. Will not be wasting my money here again,

We have been coming here for many years now and the quality is always perfect. Staff are so friendly and even remember my order! They have a great variety to choose from, even for me being a vegetarian.

I got a takeaway from here last night. It took me a while to decide as it's not your normal chippy. It has an extensive menu from burgers, to kebabs, homemade pizza's, pies and fish & chips. The fish was perfectly cooked, nice and crispy. Got a Sols special pizza freshly made to order. They even make there own dough there. And it's all reasonably priced. I'll definitely be back.

Came across Sol's takeaway on trip advisor yesterday afternoon and I thought I'd give it a go. After reading it's excellent reviews it's fair to say Sol's definitely lived up to my high expectations. Highly recommended and I will definitely be using this takeaway a lot more frequently in the future!! The chicken kebabs where delicious.

Visited this takeaway through recommendation of a local and was so glad I did. I opted for a mix kebab served on homemade naan bread with fresh crisp salad and a chilli sauce to die for. Piping hot, delicious food, quick service and the right price. Spotlessly clean and tidy and I was happy to see the 5 star food and hygiene sticker on the wall.

Coming from Scarborough we have found it hard to find good fish and chips when we have visited the North West/Manchester in the past but in Sols we have finally found somewhere I would return. The takeaway serves kebabs and burgers as well as the the usual fish and chips but still dose a good job of the later. It was also spotless and the service was friendly and swift. All fish is cooked to order and the portions were large at average prices.
