Training done as a healthcare professional in a meeting room. Staff was very unhelpful in allowing me to pray. Apparently no rooms were free. Never had such experience before. Always had experiences of every place being very accommodating allowing me to pray for a few minutes (I travel for work)

Ok so the price seemed good for the area, and during our stay we found out why:- Food was only available for breakfast during our stay (which had been the case for weeks before our arrival) parking was 'interesting'. Our "Accessible Room" was 100 paces from reception. The whole place looked to have been recently refurbished, but in a hurry - carpenters pencil markings for drilling door lock screw holes still visible, around a 1/4 of the door locks I looked at were fitted at a slight angle, it was pretty shoddy. As another little shoddy touch - the extractor fan in our wet room (room 26 if maintenance ever read this) was connected to the main/bedroom light switch rather than the one for the wet room, so if we wanted the main room lights on we had to put up with the fan noise!

The restaurant staff were so rude and passive aggressive, asking us to move tables because no one was in the restaurant to seat us when the restaurant was empty. Said I couldn't have a wine on the meal deal when on the menu it says otherwise. Asked for extra chips and got less chips than my partner who had a normal portion. Had a side and I couldn't bite into it because it was over cooked, asked it to be re done and they put this sauce on it that was so hot my eyes were streaming. Then proceed to ask us to leave because "we were rude about the service". Absolutely atrocious.

Saying this without a doubt, but this is by far the best PI we’ve ever stayed in. Just outside of Solihull Town Centre and Dorridge but still accessible by public transport, it’s quiet, like really quiet, you cannot hear the outside and we struggled to hear the rain over the night. It’s been fully refurbished which means the spaces were modern and brand new, and the reception team were amazing. Personally want to thank the bar team including Tracy, all of the management and staff (wish I got the rest of their names) for making this experience such a memorable one, they were polite, friendly and the vibe was just amazing overall! 😄 Only let down was the restaurant was closed for a couple of weeks, We will be back, this is our new place to stay when staying in Solihull.

Disabled room booked in advance. Transpired to be at furthest point from reception. Shambolic is the word. Oh and got a parking ticket 3days after getting home. Not the best.

On arrival I was a little disappointed as the hotel looks slightly tatty and the car park entrance was untidy. (Nothing a lick of paint and tidy up wouldn’t sort out) However, the interior had recently been refurbished. My room was excellent, loved the full size walk in shower (great improvement from over bath shower). The interior decoration was very smart and love the new herringbone pattern carpet. It was also lovely to have breakfast cooked to order, and as always there was plenty of choice. Located just south of Birmingham and about 5-10 minutes drive from the M40/M42 so easy to find.

Great new rooms, fresh and bang up to date with the sleep quality that you come to expect with Premier Inn.

I am just writing this review to thank Tracy for the great help that she was during our stay in Premier Inn - Hockley Heath. We met her twice out of the 3 nights we were staying. Both times, she was helpful, going the extra mile in printing out alternative directions avoiding the motorway to the NEC, and she was always in good spirits (even though it was past 11pm both times). Tracy was very easy to talk to, and deserves to be recognised for her efforts. Thank you so much.

Very impressed with our stay at this travelodge. Our two boys were welcomed with an activity pack in our room and some snacks which they were so happy about. The reception staff were really helpful and kind. Location easy to find. Only slight downside is that the EV charge point is at the other otherside of the building but this doesn’t really warrant taking a star off the review.

Basic done competently and comfortably. Attending weekend conference 12-15th September from London by train to New Street (easy 15 minutes cab journey but returned on bus 5, 30 minutes). Room 209 overlooking car park. 30 minutes walk from venue/ 10 minutes by bus. Preferable to a previous closer Airbnb. They've remedied complaints raised here: cups are now ceramic. There are notices to respect noise levels between 10pm to 7am with threat of possible expulsion. Iron and board available from reception. I echo everyone's good experience with attentive staff. The main light wasn't working on my Friday return and fixed by Saturday return. Pleasant park next to hotel. I got croissants and bananas for breakfast from local Aldi keeping in room and evening extras from neighbouring restaurants. I found the meat at Cleopatra's Kitchen a little too tough for my liking. Reception staff told me I could get cutlery and crockery from the pub. Bathroom super clean including unstained grouting. Only toilet paper, clean towels and shower gel that didn't dry out my skin and liquid soap. No toothpaste but I think people bring their own toiletries these days. No paper and pen or normal tissues but one assumes these may be available from reception and cheaply available from local supermarkets. In my room, only right side of bed had a plug point not left but there are others in the room. Heater very competent too. Shower bracing. Comfy bed. Can't ask for more. I booked months in advance directly for savings with nonrefundable payment. Will likely stay again for next time.

A family friendly popular restaurant. The gentleman who greeted/seated us was friendly, welcoming and very obliging. Our waitress Adele was very helpful and efficient. Lovely setting with lots of seating. We sat in the Quieter seating available at the front section which made a nice change. good bar area to have a drink before your meal. Steak cooked to perfection. Thanks team

EDIT PRICE HIKED BY 80% NOW £20 A PORTION, FOR A FEW CAKES AND SANDWICHES IS HARSH. I brought my Mother here for an afternoon tea. It was a gift for her recent 80th brthday. I must say this is a beautiful setting, with fine elegant rooms. Very evocative, and you couldn't help but imagine times gone past, when the previous owners, maybe the Bradfords used to walk these rooms. Being Christmas, there were a lot of festive decorations, and was very beautifully presented too. As for the tea itself, sandwiches and cakes were presented as a large silver wheel platter. Not too much, just enough, served with a choice of tea or coffee (as much as you wanted). The staff were very friendly and attentive. It is not a hard decision to come back here.
