Our second visit here and it didn’t disappoint. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The fish and chips were delicious and so were the ham, egg and chips. Fabulous view. We will be back.

We had a lovely time at The View today. It was a rather misty, damp afternoon so the wonderful view was not what it might have been! However, the warm, cosy atmosphere and cheery welcome certainly made up for the vagaries of the British weather. What a delicious Afternoon Tea we had: all beautifully arranged on a glass cake stand with a varied selection of sandwiches and the most delicious scones, clotted cream and jam and divine home made cakes, with fresh strawberries in abundance. Together with smart china and fresh and plentiful tea and coffee it was a wonderful treat! We were kindly offered a box to take home anything we couldn’t manage… but it was so delicious that we were greedy and polished it all off - only the second customers to have ever done so! Thank you, ladies, we look forward to our next visit.

This is a beautiful cafe (clue's in the name!?) We've had bacon/sausage sandwiches and also sampled the delicious cakes .. these were put in a box for us to take home. The breakfasts look plentiful and we will definitely be sampling one sometime very soon! Toilets are clean and spacious and I noticed that they're dog-friendly :)

Ignore the review that referred to the location of this cafe resembling a scrapyard and an overgrown garden. In fact they are Fort View (tyre replacement) and The Coastal Gardener (plant nursery), both of which are long established and well regarded local businesses. As for The View, it has a superlative position overlooking the Solent and backed by a farm, a campsite and an antiques business. It’s a very nice spot, easy to miss from the road, but well worth seeking out. The cafe has been completely and tastefully refurbished, and the staff are extremely pleasant and helpful. The menu is varied with very fresh ingredients and a ‘Mediterranean’ feel. I am sure they deserve to succeed and wish them all the best.

You turn into their drive, and immediately you are looking at old cars, caravans and an overgrown, uncared for garden. The cafe is tiny, but there is outside seating with good sea views, although the garden seating is extremely tatty. The whole place needs smarting up and money spent to improve the surroundings. The food was nice but tiny portions for the money, and small bottles of coke at £3 each. The cafe has changed hands recently, so let's hope they do well. Certainly there are better cafes in the area.

The View recently re opened under new ownership this month so was excited to pop along and try out the breakfast one Sunday as it's very local to where we live. Ignore any dodgy review prior to May 24. Amazing views, hence the name! A real suntrap to sit out side in the warmer months! Breakfast was decent and really friendly staff. We've been back several times and also had a lunch there which again, was very nice and decent portions sizes!! Definitely going to be back a lot more aswell as it's perfect location almost on my doorstep.

Framptons has a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere and the food is always lovely, a bonus for us is its dog friendly. We went for Sunday lunch and had the beef brisket which was delicious and very tender. We were both full so couldn’t fit in a dessert, but the selection available looked good. If you are visiting Bembridge it’s worth a visit

At first you feel a little rude pressing the button for service, but it really does work! It allows the staff to get things done and you don’t have to try and grab their attention if needed - you just press the button and they’re told about it, without delay you have service. The food, as always, excellent. We’ve been here numerous times now and whilst we miss the old “steak nights”, the menu is still extensive and the food wonderfully cooked.

Love love love French Frank's. My favourite is the crispy bacon classic baguette, but I often have the Caesar salad, and they don't mind if you want to add stuff.
