Sofia's in Telford and Wrekin

As always a lovely welcoming atmosphere in Sofia’s. Was encouraged to try the homemade apple crumble and custard to warm me up…it was scrumptious just like the one my mum used to make, it brought back fond memories:) Well done Sofia’s!

Such a fab place, with great service and delicious food! The bread they use for their butties is SO good. Brilliant value for money, its a fave.

A little Jewel in Wellington... I stumbled upon this little place as it was closer to the Bus Station. Am I glad I did? Oh my goodness absolutely.. it simply became the highlight of that day. Raj who was in charge and his team knew almost all of his customers by name and their preferences. They extended the same hospitality to me - a total passer by. And the food? I’ll need to elaborate.. All I ordered was the full English Breakfast; despite Raj’s recommendation to sit down and eat, I had it as take away. 30 minutes later I wished that I did sit down, taken my time and enjoyed it with the respect it deserved... Even in a take away box and eating while travelling, I enjoyed every second of consuming it! How do you know it’s a great breakfast you may ask? Well you know it when you see and taste the mushrooms.. Let me just talk about the mushrooms here, these little guys were just perfect! Not the little tinned button mushrooms that cafe's dish out these days, not the ones that taste like paper. I mean these not so little fellas were muscled up, like they went to gym everyday and were well fed growing up and they looked happy and cooked to perfection. ( A bit like Raj if you’re fortunate to ever meet him lol) Then the tomatoes, they were free range (yes I know - as impossible as it seems that’s how they seemed to me) and just very happy to be there and be eaten amongst the other delicious things assembled there together. Similarly, the thick perfect bacon rashers and the sausages, I'm sure they found their purpose in life and were there just chilling in perfect harmony enjoying being part of the band among those mushrooms, the tomatoes, and the beans...I could go on and on. Combine that with generously buttered bread and beans to mop it all up at the end. I think I may have discovered my personal English Breakfast Heaven! No wonder they have the community restaurant award on the wall. I will take and post pictures next time I’m there. I cannot wait to go back and try the other stuff on their menu. What an authentic experience.. truly amazing! All I can say is Thank you Raj and his team

What a great find in Wellington centre, popped in on a whim with the kids before going swimming on day and was very pleasantly surprised, friendly staff and lovely food with good sized portions, it's become a regular thing to come here for lunch any time we're in Wellington now.

My Husband & I, Visited Sofia's Today 20/08/2024. This Was Our 1st Visit to this establishment, And It Most DEFINITELY Won't Be Our Last. From the moment we stepped through the door, we were greeted with a Very Friendly Welcome. We Both Ordered The All Day Breakfast. And WOW.... We Were NOT Disappointed, The Service Was Exceptionally Quick, and the food itself was Absolutely Delicious. Everything was Piping Hot, and you could tell it was freshly cooked, using Quality Ingredients. On Departure we paid the bill & Asked them to add extra as a tip. As Unfortunately we did not have any cash on us. We Cannot Recommend Sofia's Highly enough. You Now Have 2 New Regulars, (As we will most definitely be returning time & time again). We will spread your name far & wide.

Lovely staff and great food!! The staff greet you with a smile as soon as you come in making you feel so welcome! As you sit in there you see how familiar they are with all of their regular customers and nothing is too much. The cleanliness of the place is obvious as soon as you come in! We had a full English breakfast and it wasn't greasy at all, everything was cooked lovely and a really nice breakfast. Would definitely recommend coming here for food.

Great place to eat and drink in Wellington and as a bonus you get great customer service woth the friendly staff. The food is cooked fresh, the portions are fab and it's reasonably priced. Lovely little place to pop into and have a bite to eat - my breakfast was delicious and excellent value for money. The service was genuinely 10/10, as the staff are warm and welcoming - the chap who served me was so lovely and made me feel totally at ease whilst dining alone. We only ever come here to eat forget other cafes and Wetherspoons, this is the only place to go , Top Quality, Cheap, Decent Food, Friendly Staff. Been run by the same people for years. You have to try thier Xmas Lunch its amazing.

First visit to this excellent cafe for breakfast. Spotlessly clean, tables well spaced and comprehensive menu. The Light American breakfast of pancakes, bacon and maple syrup was enormous and delicious. Bacon butty packed full of bacon on good quality bread. Lage glass of very good ornge juice, all for £12. Amazing value. Service very friendly and efficient. Will certainly visit again whenever in the area

Lovely cafe serving freshly prepared food We travel 15+ miles for a breakfast as often as we can. Th breakfasts are excellent and are much better value than the microwave breakasts served at W*****poons across the way.

A friend and I visited this morning, 26th September for breakfast. Although both of us have lived in Telford for many decades we hadn’t ever been to Sofias. What a little gem, been there since 1908. The menu choice was excellent. As i walked in the man behind the counter greeted me with a ‘good morning’, asked to choose a table and that a waitress would be over to take the order. We chose the light breakfast and hot drink. Choice of beans or tomatoes and buttered bread or toast to accompany it. The drinks were brought over and the breakfast followed shortly afterwards. Everything was clean, fresh and the service was excellent. The young lady serving us had a constant smile on her face and excellent manner with the customers. We noticed how everyone seemed happy. Defiantly one to go to again and anyone wanting a decent priced and excellently presented food choice should give this a visit. Thank you.

Some times the little things become the big things. If you like deep fried mushrooms with a full English you'll like it. If, like me, you dislike them, this is somewhere to avoid. Mushrooms are one of my favourite things but I've long disliked the mushrooms that come with the full English at Sofia's. The mushrooms here are the worst I've ever had. I kept going as the family like some of the other breakfasts that they do. It was only recently that I found out that they deep fry the mushrooms. It's been a small point but it has kept niggling. I wouldn't have thought it difficult to cook them another way (like every other cafe does) but they won't. There are plenty of good cafés in the area so I'll be going there instead.

My partner wanted to see Wellington and we happened to be late lunch and walked from car park to here from bus station alley. OMG, this is the best cafe I have ever been to. When you walk in you get local feel, a bit what am I going to get and THEN, BOOM! The food arrives, wowsers…….I ordered the American breakfast, that was like no other mix of breakfast I’ve ever seen for around £7, this was amazing, bacon nicely cooked with actual brown bits! Yes… scrambled eggs beautifully cooked, cheesy hash browns (yes, cheesy!) never before have I ever seen cheesy has browns, you have to try them…with brown sauce…..ahhhhh……then on top of that 4 of the most fluffy nicest pancakes with butter and syrup you ever did see (and I’ve done America!). My partner had the small breakfast, which was awesome and great value. This is a cafe that you MUST go back to again and again…. I’ll see you there! 😁

This place is amazing. I dont honestly think you would get a better breakfast anywhere else in Shropshire. All food is cooked fresh, best ingredients. I have also had their omelettes, they are huge & yummy. The chips are also great in this place. The most lovely staff are so friendly and welcoming. Once you have been once you just keep wanting to go back.

Friendly clean “high street” cafe which served up an awesome full English breakfast only minus being there was no black pudding & no fried bread but the dish had extra toast & was reasonsably priced at £4.95 as for drink, their coffee Latte was hot & frothy. I’d definitely recommend Sophias to friends family and others taking in this honest review.

We googled places to have breakfast,and Sofias came up. How lucky we were! We were welcomed by the manager, who came and chatted and took our order almost immediately. A few minutes and our breakfast arrived, steaming hot, well cooked, and well presented. I had the full English, my wife had the "small" English. Wow! 40 years as a long distance truck driver has given me some knowledge of breakfasts. I say without fear of contradiction, that this was the best one I have ever had! Well done to everyone at Sofias, you are all a credit to your profession. Keep it up.We'll be back!

It really is what the outside advert sais: "the biggest breakfast" And not only big, but fresh cooked and good quality. I don't know how they make money, because their prices are quite low and their food is very good.There are a few more similar places in Wellington but since I discover this one, don't go to the other ones unless Sofia's is shut.

I have to say it’s the best lasagne I’ve ever tried. It is served with a generous amount of chips and side salad. As soon as you enter the establishment the staff offer a warm welcome and a speedy service. The food is excellent and would recommend a visit. If you want the biggest and best cooked breakfast then this is the place.
