Lots of choice which is great to see. Panini and baguettes are fresh. You can have whatever filling you want- a bit on the pricey side overall. fresh orange juice is nice!

Me and my boyfriend both came in to have drinks and a panini- custom made right in front of you. The service was fast and brilliant everyone was so lovely. The food completely hit the spot, even had a little olive stuck on top of the panini. Overall amazing, definitely one of the best places to eat in the covered market. Super fast and decent priced, would 1000% come here again!

The food was fine. Food came reasonably fast. The service was terrible. Everybody seemed angry and impatient. Not waiting for me to finish speaking to complete my order; seemed upset when I asked to change one item for another. Then forgot my tea, too, which wouldn't usually be a problem, but was just extra frustrating. In summary, the attitudes of most of the staff were extremely off putting despite the reasonably good food.

Good breakfasts, free hot drink with full English. Lovely staff always cheerful! Usually busy can be chaotic but good coffee and tea. Remember to say Obligado! on leaving.

Great spot for breakfast or lunch. Great value, quick and easy service. Full of tourists which is nice. Would recommend if you don’t want to pay over the top. Up market greasy spoon. Can’t beat the hangover baguette or the jacket, beans and cheese

Visited today, they were rushed off their feet but customer service was excellent! The food was great, the drinks were cold and the atmosphere was exactly like it would be in a busy, friendly eatery. I shall be visiting again!

Great cafe with salmon, avocado, and eggs on toast! Their freshly squeezed orange juice is also pretty good. Their student discounts are available only after breakfast hours.

se volete mangiare qualcosa di rapido che non sia il solito panino con hamburger, qui potete trovare le ottime patate ripiene, le samosa o le crepes. Siamo andati in giornate freddissime ed è uno dei pochissimi posti del mercato di Oxford dove puoi mangiare al chiuso (il mercato è coperto ma aperto, quindi freddo). Fanno anche zuppe del giorno. Personale cordiale. Pochi posti a sedere quindi è necessario essere un po' rapidi.

Only popped in for a quick coffee and a piece of baklava. The cafe was absolutely mobbed, so busy and all the food looked great.

Stopped in for a coffee with my daughter. (Who was not the happiest of people today!) Coffee and cake were very nice But the best part of experience were the staff who were so friendly and happy. They offered my daughter a bit of cucumber to occupy her and stop her screaming. Really lovely gesture and one that I feel was done out of true kindness. I will very happily return to Sofi de France!

Love the hot chocolate here - quite rich and creamy! And the vegetarian breakfast was amazing! The vegan sausage tasted great in it and would recommend for anyone wanting to try good filling breakfast within Covered market, Oxford.

I had the Halloumi twist breakfast but the halloumi seemed chewy and not fresh at all. My partner had veg breakfast but found it quite average, hashbrowns and veg sausages both could use some salt/flavour. Crepe machine was unfortunately broken else would have loved to try it. On the plus side, cakes on display looked yummy.

Great place for coffee and a snack. Excellent coffee. Great baguettes, good choice of fillings. I regularly stop by. Can get busy at peak times (Saturday lunch time, and mid-afternoon).

Overall tasty and decent, normal prices. Good for breakfast or snacks (sandwiches etc). Very accomodating staff.

£5 for old sour feta, guacamole & salad with free soil. I used to come here for exclusively egg mayo baguette. This is probably still a good safe choice. DO NOT order what the assistant recommends because that will be the ingredient that is on its way out at the end of the day.

I am obsessed with this place. I come here often and have seemed to befriended the staff. I bring friends here typically for a breakfast and brunch or to grab a coffee. The menu that they offer has a variety of breakfast, brunch, lunch or snack foods. They do a half English breakfast which I am sincerely grateful for as my stomach often cannot manage a full. There is freshly squeezed orange juice and good coffee as well as a good variety of pastries. The atmosphere is cosy in the covered market, there tends to be a lil music in the background but you can still have a nice intimate quiet chat. There is seating outside and around the shop at the back and front in case it is full. It is a well-run, clean and professional business that deals well with the people and does good by its food. Highly highly recommend.

This is one of my family fav spots for breakfast in Oxford. Delicious breakfast. We love their paninis and Vegetarian English breakfast. My fav is Tuna Panini 😉 space is quite cramped but still comfortable enough to fit my 6 family members. Chicken is halal too 👏🏼

While preparing the food the server proceeded to rub her nose, then touched her hair and even went on the handle money all with the same pair of gloves. This was a definite violation Food Health and Safety 101. May be it would be worth your while to retrain your staff on Health and Safety.

Many places to choose from for lunch etc. We found this place inside the covered market area. Good selection of baguettes, panini's and drinks. Only had one of the three soups from the board. Our baguettes were nice.

Service was pleasant but baguettes were a little stale, olive oil tasted old, fillings fairly uninspiring. Panini was well recieved though.

Spent a couple of days exploring Oxford and, preferring to find our own breakfast, checked out TA and saw the reviews for this little gem in the covered market off High Street. It’s not very big but it is very popular, and easy to see why. The staff are very friendly and the menu extensive. Obviously lots of locals use it as staff seemed to know lots of their customers. We opted for the full English breakfast, which was delicious and, at just over £7 including tea or coffee, great value for money. It certainly kept us full for the rest of the day’s exploring! The previous day we sampled their strudel and a hot drink - yet again delicious. Can’t comment on the ‘foreign transaction’ in another post as paid in cash (due, in part, to that comment). Would I recommend this establishment? - absolutely!

Food okay, portions a bit on the small side staff very friendly. What they don't tell you is that your card payments are actually a foreign transaction I only noticed because a suspicious entry appeared on my bank statement. £1.40 on a £7.60 bill!! .

Baguettes are overpriced for the quality

4 star coffee but 5 star service; the Americano was a bit softer (more watered down) than most spots but better than any of the chains, and the sausage roll a tasty, salty treat. The real winners are likely the pastries which I can't comment on. The staff are all super friendly and amenable, answering Qs and all. Recommend.

Stopped by for croissant and coffee. Coffee lasagna and good. Ther maybe other snacks available here.

We visited Oxford today and found your lovely cafe by chance. We all really enjoyed our lunch - you have such a fabulous choice for everyone. The service here is so good. We were served by Costas who was so amenable. The food is delicious and exceedingly well priced. So much better than some of the chains taking over the high Street. Highly recommended.

I ordered scrambled egg and bacon with toast on the side. Scrambled egg on toast served with salad smothered in balsamic vinegar and olive oil drizzled liberally over the eggs. Scrambled egg ruined and revolting. Bacon very fatty . And I don't like soggy toast hence ordering toast on the side. Liked the coffee.

This is the only place to have a coffee in Oxford, the coffee is excellent if you haven't been here then I would insist you go at least once, after doing this there will be a twice and thrice....there is also a great choice of wonderful treats as well as coffee. The staff are amazing polite courteous and so helpful, but most of all they know Coffee.
