Very nice cakes. Coffees/hot chocolate were good, but could have been a bit bigger...

Finally I found ( filter coffee) Definitely, I recommend this place ♥️

Tried many cafes in the area and this is by far my favourite. Great coffee, amazing cakes and a relaxing place to sit in and enjoy.

Excellent cafe with delicious coffee. I have been here countless times now, they make really delicious lattes consistently. Have tasted their matcha latte as well, good quality matcha was used. Atmosphere is amazing, cozy with a lot of seats and sofas but can be a bit loud. A good amount of electrical ports, consistently clean toilets, super fast wifi (unlike the other Society Cafe down the street...). Recently bought my own machine and been buying beans from here. Arleta has been really helpful with helping me buy some Origin coffee beans which I'm very grateful for – got the Nicaraguan and Ethiopian beans just today. Got help from several other staff as well in the past but didn't manage to get their names. Amazing crew through and through. One of the best cafes in Bristol.

Crap little signs on the tables saying “no laptops” which look tacky but also just don’t give a good vibe. A lot of people work from home and like going out to work for some community and togetherness. Bad VIBEZ.

If the delightful flags don't say it enough the staff make ya feel it. Friendly for all, even trans peeps like me, always a pleasure to come in, got my aeropress bits and coffee blends here last stop, don't know what they were apologising for, but they did today, and got a free coffee for the next stopoff. Oh the coffee is always amazing here, obv. :)

Popped in with my daughter for a coffee and a hot chocolate. Quickly served by friendly staff. They were knowledgeable about the coffee and how it was processed and roasted and I had a pourover. The coffee was delicious and my daughter loved her hot chocolate too. Didn't order any food but it looked good!

They do the best chai latte in Bristol and their other drinks taste great. Also like their work ethic and what they represent. The staff are just lovely too.

DONT TRY THE MATCHA! I always wanted to try this place and was excited to see that a specialty of their's is a iced matcha latte as I love matcha. But I was massively disappointed because I barely tasted the matcha and you can tell by the colour of the drink if its going to be a nice matcha....its very dull. I dont want to be unfair as this review is only based on their matcha but if you're going to have it as a specialty drink then I wonder if anything else tastes good from this cafe.

came here with my girlfriend plenty of times. staff is really nice, there are charges and fast wifi. we sat outside and the terrace is in the sun so it was really nice in the afternoons. they have really nice coffee. i ordered a cortado and was served in a glass instead of a cup, just like in my country. greatly appreciated. recommend it

Cake and Coffee and don't go if you really do need the toilet. Not really somewhere for Lunch. Tea English Breakfast and a few flavoured variations. Coffee good. Cake nice but price and portion size bare no relation to each other. So it's Cake or Cake. One loo and the disabled loo is there but it's not obvious (door and wall the same colour). Really could do with another toilet. Nothing to rave over. I had to trek back to my hotel for the loo. Kind of gave up on lunch.

Wanted a coffee before work and wanted to try from somewhere new for me so ordered a Latte. I love coffee and that latte hit the spot, good strength and also very friendly customer service. They are card and contactless only but this doesn’t bother me as I always try to pay with my phone. Will definitely be visiting again!

Very centrally located café with good coffee and a wide variety of teas, coffees, and smoothies. tried the carrot cake slice, and it was surprisingly nice! The icing on top was soft, and the cake itself was moist and full of nuts. definitely be back for another slice!

Great little independent coffee shop, with a lovely genuine community feel, serving a grand selection of teas, coffees and hot chocolates as well as an array of brownies and other delights. Some tables are designated laptop free, which is a great idea! Definitely worth a visit when in Bristol!

I’ve passed by this cafe so many times and wanted to come in but feel a bit wary about trying new places. I was immediately greeted with friendly faces and smiles from the baristas, especially the young curly, blonde haired lady who served me and was absolutely lovely. My iced oat latte was also very yummy, definitely coming back!

I’m a bus driver so I quite often get a coffee from here. Honestly it’s the best place ever! The mocha is by far the best I’ve ever had. Every coffee is made with absolute love and great quality ingredients, it tastes so good! Even the cakes are amazing, especially the banana and peanut butter cake slice! The staff are very friendly and polite. Highly recommend 10/10.

My favourite cafe in Bristol! Sid the lovely barista let me try their new jasmine peach iced tea, and I have to say it's the best iced tea I've had so far in this country. Never had a bad experience here, they make the best coffee and the staff are always so friendly

Great coffee, great service, lovely atmosphere. I sat in here for a couple of hours to do some work and every member of staff on shift was so friendly and lovely, really brilliant customer service. My coffee was great and the cafe itself is always very clean, airy and a great place to sit and enjoy some food/drink.

Social Cafe was a welcoming little oasis for breakfast near our hotel. Great vegan options and coffees in a slightly industrial little coffee spot / cafe. I highly recommend the banana and chocolate slice which was vegan.

I love their flat white but lately I feel that beans are a little too strong for my liking. Also it is depends on a day who serves it, the temperature can be high. They serve a lovely selection of cakes and pastries so we shall return soon for sure.

Always loved this place. But this morning I felt so terrible because of how I was treated. I was waiting for them to open on time, which is of course ok, It was then 9 am, so I stood up to wait for the door to open and the barista guy opened the door, ignored the fact that I was standing there didn’t even look at me and started to move the trash bags in front of the door. So I asked “are you guys opening?” He said well yes we open at nine there is still ONE minute. And he pointed at the trash bags saying unless you want to carry them with me. And it was not a joke or a tease it was almost as if he thought I was asking so much of him to let me in on time… I felt ignored and belittle and he was wrong about the time and made me feel like a burden. I am trying to not let this ruin my morning.

I came in for a cappuccino and a sit down. The staff are very nice and friendly and polite. I would definitely recommend this place if u are ever in Bristol.

Used to come often to the cafe, lovely cakes and great coffee and always friendly staff. Unfortunately, I was extremely unlucky today. I have ordered and oat flat white along with vegan cake. Never had issue with that. Apparently the cashier did not put a note on the ticket and it did not state oat milk. Therefore I was served flat white with cows milk along with friends oat milk coffees which was confusing but of course I took what was mine. I was served cows milk while I am allergy to dairy products. Absolutely unacceptable. After having a sip (sadly I did not realise by smell straight away) I knew it was wrong, got back to the cafe needed to clarify this. Baristas were busy and confirmed it was cows milk, I started feeling ill, and was offered another coffee. Thats it. It was not clarified with another member of staff or manager. I have said I am allergic, but at this stage apology won’t do much. What a shame there was such a little acknowledgment, and honestly will never go back after not being treated seriously with dairy.

I've only been to this cafe twice and each time has always been a pleasant experience. Relaxed vibe, spacious, and clean. I have only ordered drinks and are good both in taste and portion. Best of all are the staff. Very friendly, accommodating, with initiative, and professional. They're very efficient and greet everyone with a smile. It's the cafe's best asset and is always a good sign of a good cafe.

I was visiting a friend in Bristol from New York, and one day while she worked I spent a few hours at Society Café! What a wonderful environment! The staff were so kind, and genuinely looked like they were enjoying themselves at work. Flat white was 10/10!

I have been meaning to visit Cafe Society in Bristol on Baldwin Street for a while now, but never really had the opportunity. When I have walked past it was usually as I was on my way to another place, or I had just had a coffee somewhere else. So when in town one Saturday and walking past, I decided I would go in for a coffee. The place was busy but there were seats available. There was no queue, so I went to the counter and ordered my coffee, a flat white. Having said that I was drinking in, the barista said to take a seat and they would bring my coffee to me. I took a seat. I noticed that for some of their seats they had a no laptop rule which was interesting. If you did want to use your laptop, there were shared tables available. The rule was enforced, as I did see someone being asked to move to a laptop table. My flat white arrived. It looked fantastic. I really enjoyed the coffee and I think I will certainly visit Cafe Society again.

I got iced matcha green tea latte but I also liked their latte. However, matcha latte was the best one so far I’ve tried in the UK. The shop decorations got me chilling vibe. The seats are a bit limited.

Great for a break from the rain in Bristol quick service and we found a table ok. Decent coffee but didn't try anything else.

Being right next to central bus station is an amazing location around lots of activities. We ordered the vegan coffee and walnut, and lemon cake both perfect. Lemon cakes plate was dirty but was quickly resolved with a new slice. Food and service made up for it.

Coffee is amazing, but the desserts are not- too sweet brownies and standard sponge cakes, nothing extraordinary to match the superb coffee. Also, the chairs without back are very uncomfortable.
