This relaxed little Café has a lovely 'French' atmosphere. Their excellent quality food (plenty yummy vegetarian options too) is made with lots of TLC. Reasonable prices. Staff very polite. Highly recommended.

Lovely, local feeling place! I only had a croissant and flat white. But the coffee was delicious and the milk at the perfect temperature! It was my first time here as I don't live in London, but certainly on par with the speciality coffee shops I'm used to. The lady was very friendly and wished me a good day, which is always lovely to hear especially in London.

The customer service isn’t great, don’t feel very welcome coming into the cafe. Coffee is ok but you can find better elsewhere. Food is lovely.

Just visiting London and stumbled upon this gem in Clapham! Found my go-to caffeine oasis right here. This spot is my favourite, and I would highly recommend it. Laptop friendly (with outlets!!), lovely food, and amazing staff. Amanda and Julia are amazing. They always welcome me with positive energy, and they even remember my usual coffee order. They have tons of vegetarian options for food during the weekday, and it hits the spot everytime. The atmosphere is very chill, and the music playlist is always fire. In a nutshell, come spend some time here if you remote work or just want good food. I’ll be back for sure, no doubt <3

I went for Friday lunch with a friend. Disappointed that this cafe had absolutely no vegan / plant based options. They also couldn’t even make a sandwich for me. In this day I would expect at least toast or a salad.

Lovely little cafe, nice staff and good food. I couldn't choose so I got two dishes (photos added, I took a bite then took the photo). My partner got the full English and said it was tasty.

I love this place the staff are really friendly especially the girl who works on a Sunday morning, makes the best coffee and almond croissants. She plays a great playlist. Breastfeeding friendly and puppy friendly too. Prices are clapham so to be expected

Excellent salads and great service.

Service wasn't good. We wanted to sit in and enjoy a coffee and a treat and they sold us these stuff in a takeaway cup and then told us that they were closing in 10 min. Long wait at the till because the girls were distracted gossiping. Not a big selection on drinks. We went in because the atmosphere looked fine. Also, way too pricey!

This was our first time there and the experience was Absolutely disappointment. Not set up for the Saturday morning rush hr. Understaffed and slow. Waiters with attitude and no customer service. Menu doesn’t match the bill, so check what you are paying. Never again.

Best salads ever! So much choice of rolls, sandwiches, a feta and roasted vegetable quiche flan.

A rare find a Cafe that has delicious home made cakes, pastries, salads, sandwiches and an original menu. Super friendly staff just like the old fashioned tea houses with a wonderful atmosphere. I found everything delicious and this is definitely worth a visit. Dog friendly.

A friendly atmosphere and cosy decor. Sadly the experience was totally tainted by over a 90 minute wait for food, and being brought the wrong order on multiple occasions. Most of the staff were friendly, however the manager’s response was really disappointing - with a reluctance to discount the bill despite a complete sub-par experience, ending things on a sour note.

Multiple girls have had issues with a member of kitchen staff filming them with no consent, and when confronted, no explanation. Complaints have been filed and nothing has been done. This is a final attempt to bring attention to an issue that most females go through where they are not given any time of day when shedding light on misconduct.

Okay in general, but the croissants aren't fresh. They're dry and a bit stale and really expensive (£2.80) considering they're not even fresh. You'd get a tastier croissant from a supermarket. Bought from here in the afternoon and thought it was just stale because the bakery bits had been out since the morning, so tried again in the morning and had another dry and stale one. No issue with the sandwiches or coffee though.

Friendly service, tasty food and have been several times. Pastries cakes etc are always great. Dog, laptop and child friendly! Always a lovely ambience. Good choice of food for dietary needs. Unfortunately website says brunch is served Weds to Sunday - but on arriving recently (on a Thursday) we found it was only the food counter available and that brunch is only served on weekends. Soft drinks are over priced (dalstons as an example). Hot drinks are always great.

This place is a 10/10 in my eyes. My new go-to. Brilliant coffee, wonderful staff and a really pleasant atmosphere.

Edit: Unfortunately they seem to have different chefs. I would not recommend going here because the food is no longer at the standard mentioned below. It's rare to get a brunch which feels genuinely exciting and original. The food was excellent and memorable. For that quality it was great value for money. Friendly staff. Great coffee. A must visit.

Food is good, but on the road they are terrible, aggressive drivers; proper white van man on your bumper get off the road terrible.

Came here for a birthday party. There were 30 of us. The staff were amazing from the first minute and the food that followed was very good indeed. We had the steak tartare starter followed by the duck for main. Desert was a rhubarb and Hibiscus tart. The only criticism was the desert. Some loved it, others didn't. I fell into the latter camp. Apart from that, a great evening. Highly recommended.

1 star for the simple fact this small cafe does not cater well to those with different food requirements. When asked if the cakes or cookies were vegan or gluten free the two staff shrugged and said they didn't know?! Is it 2022? Do they not know that some people have severe allergic reactions? Ignorance is not very helpful or attractive. New staff needed or at the very least educated. Possibly a folder with the info about the small selection of foods they offer. Fyi before lockdown there were a handful of sweet and savory - labeled - on offer which were very nice, and at that time I would have given it 4 stars.

Poor service. The guy was completely distracted with other things. I was the only customer and it took 5 mins before he started making the coffee. He disappeared part way through making it to get milk. Someone got in late for work. At the end of all that, the coffee was average

Really lovely food, atmosphere and service. Coffee was delicious. I had the bacon and burrata flatbread which was so flavoursome with the dressing.

Food was delicious and very high quality although somewhat small in portions. The staff were fantastic and really accommodating. The venue is gorgeous and excellent for an event. Highly recommend the social pantry.

i’d been eyeing this place up for ages but hadn’t gotten around to visiting. i’m so glad i have now though! the staff are very friendly and polite, the coffee is not only great-tasting but the portion size is very generous! finally a place that serves an actual mug of coffee and not some doll-size cup. this didn’t affect the price either and was noticeably cheaper than similar places close by. i’m looking forward to trying some of the food and the matcha latte!

Super nice staff but food is just OK. I had Turkish Eggs - which was mostly filled with yoghurt and could have been much better. Ag least the portion could have been better. Coffee was nice though.

Had a very nice breakfast here this morning - coffee is great, vibe and staff spot on. We had the full english which was a generous size and delicious. There were veggie options available, so my only recommendation would be to offer a vegetarian full english :)

Went in with some friends for brunch today. I had the flat bread & added bacon, it was delicious and so nice to see something a little different other than standard brunch items on the menu! A great a find with lovely staff.

The staff could not have been less interested in us, their customers. When our table of 3 sat down, nobody welcomed us or offered any drinks - we had to spend 20 minutes trying to catch the eye of the two waiters. After eventually managing to order brunch, there was a very long wait for our coffees and food to arrive. The latte was badly made and weak. Worse, I ordered poached eggs on toast and they made MINIMAL EFFORT: a tiny piece of sourdough with 2 eggs dolloped on top; no dressing, no sauce and no greenery - this was £7.50!!! I was still starving afterwards. They've also banned avocado from the menu on "sustainability" grounds - but still serve sausages and bacon. Work that one out. Nobody checked whether the food was okay and nobody took our plates. Waiters walked past us just ignoring us, so after 20 minutes of trying to get the bill we just went up to the counter. They then had the cheek to add automatic service charge -- while the waiters stood with their backs to us as we paid. They didn't even say thank you. We will not be returning and urge others to avoid.

I just went to tried for the first time the Badboys Bakery and it was very good. I finf it a great initiative helping prisoners to get a second opportunity . Thank you Social Pantry Cafe

Nice relaxed cafe with a slightly different menu.

Arrived in paint spattered work clothes (renovating a house nearby) seeking a quick and relatively early lunch/brunch. Officious manager snapped across the female staff member talking to me “we’re full!”. We were not full, the tables appeared to have chalk signs for bookings one or two hours hence.

They have amazing salad and sandwiches! The staff were extremely helpful as well!

Just asked if the raisin croissant was made in store and if it was baked today , the lady replied "yes". I asked are your sure? And she was sure. That thing was probably 4-5 days old and it was just horrible. It's shame because I used to like the place.

This cafe is an absolute gem. Charming interior and staff. Flavorful and smooth coffee. We had the Croque Madame (with brisket) and chicken focaccia sandwich. Both were wonderful and great value for money. Will definitely return!

Welcoming, friendly and relaxed - perfect for my Saturday brunch! I had the loaded homemade flatbread which is a genius recipe and exactly what I needed! Delicious and filling! Lovely staff and a great atmosphere, I'll definitely keep in mind for private hire events too - would be ideal for a little party.

I went for a brunch last Saturday with my husband to celebrate our anniversary. The cafe is a little jewel and the staff is friendly and well prepared. The place was quite busy, but the service went smooth. I ordered a Chicken Focaccia, absolutely delicious, the lemon mayo was the perfect dressing. My husband ordered the Nduja Brie and poached egg Croissant, so tasty! We`ll definitely be back again! I highly recommend a visit, you won`t regret it.

Excellent service, even better coffee. The whole team at Social Pantry are always upbeat and welcoming. My top priority is the coffee, and their blend is one of the best I've tried in the area. It's competitively priced at £2.30 for a straight black coffee and the taste has been consistent every time I've visited. The space is really well utilised and decorated, with space to work or eat lunch, depending on your prerogative. They also have a bunch of goods on sale from other local businesses which is a lovely touch. I would recommend Social Pantry and have been back plenty of times!

Vegan breakfast includes an egg. Still trying to figure out why. Hashbrown was raw. Not worth the money. Coffee was good though.

Best place to get coffee and food in the area!

A little expensive, £2.50 surcharge for an egg in a £4.50 bacon sandwich for example. Also coffee could do with cups that retain heat as it wasn't that hot to start with...

I came here for Saturday brunch. The inside of the cafe is very basic but we really enjoyed the food. The granola and yoghurt was lovely - a big portion and very filling. My friend had the sweet potato hash - this wasn’t as advertised and was basically just sweet potato chunks but sill tasted good

Friendly and relaxing atmosphere

Found this lovely little joint via the London Coffee App whilst on route through London. Really impressed first and foremost with the care and attention of the coffee the friendly barista made me. It was so good I had two back to back! The beans are sourced via Redemption Roasters, which is an excellent initiative helping young offenders within Aylesbury Prison learn a craft by training them up in the world of coffee. There’s a small collection of locally sourced cakes and pastries and a brunch menu on offer too. It’s got a friendly unpretentious vibe and had a mixed crowd from young mums, local businessmen and students. Highly recommended!
