The service from the girl in charge of ordering was okay, but the food was awful, the Potato noodle was super sour, and it didn't feel very clean, and I got hair in my bowl!

I ordered 2 chicken noodles,calling the restaurant today (06.11.2023) at 14:50pm and requested dine in for my order ( cause I was running late for my work saying I’m on way to the restaurant also mentioned her I have to rush to work by 15:30pm ) I asked the lady in the reception to keep my food ready. When I went to the restaurant the food wasn’t prepared yet and the receptionist just forgot about it, probably busy on her phone. It’s completely waste of time and effort going there in traffic and having nothing in return. Very frustrating and poor service. No respect for time and customers.

Food amazing, bit of an experience with some of the bones but really enjoyed it. Cash only! That court me out so had to leave wife in there lol, while I went to cash machine.

I had a take away order online with So Good Restaurant Cardiff and I found a cigar end in one of food containers. It's so disgusting! I contacted the restaurant and a young lady (Manager) determined to say that 1) the cigar end was put either by ourselves or by our visitors - Cigar is totally forbidden in my house due to my allergy to cigar and any smell of the smoke; and no one visited us at that time; 2) the food container with cigar end was order from the other restaurant/take away - It's ridiculous since I pick up my take away from So Good and the young lady took my order from a big thermal bag in front of me! It's frustrating experience and the food safety problems have existed in So Good Restaurant Cardiff for ages.

It lives up to its name. We had General Tso’s chicken (Delicious), spicy potatoes with pork belly and chilli beef. This is the fourth time we have been to So Good and we have never had a bad meal. Staff are brilliant, helpful and attenuating. Food is just amazing. One of the best in Cardiff.

I've visited a couple of times trying different dishes with friends. The ambiance is a bit lacking (cold in January!) but the food is great authentic Chinese. There are spicy Szechuan dishes, plenty of offal (pig maw with chili oil is much better than it sounds) and seafood options (braised seabass is great). They do also make Chinese BBQ dishes as well as hotpots (in which you cook items). Had some frog legs too! Yay! Brilliant stuff, plus the noodles and other more mainstream tidbits seem tasty too.

I wouldn’t even give it a one star rating , went inside lady was on the phone and didn’t even acknowledge us waiting. Was waiting for over 10mins and still didn’t serve us . So if you go prepare to either ware for over 10minutes and another thing I didn’t look before but it’s a two star ⭐️ rating ….

Rude staff on arrival. Dirty tables and a very run down place. The menu was expensive for the overall experience and there was poor choice. Don't know if the food is decent as we didn't hang around to find out.

Excellent food. This has to be the best Chinese restaurant in Wales. Staff were brilliant and very polite and attentive. We had a selection of food all of which was tasty.

So Good is a great Chinese restaurant or take away, the staff are friendly and the food is delicious, shame that people are complaining about the slow take away time. We always have lovely food, and it doesn't feel that we wait that long when we visit, we travel 40 miles to get there and always have a great service

I made an online order at 5.37pm for them, the delivery was well over an hour late which I was not impressed at all. Thank goodness I just order 2 items as I bought something else for my daugheter, otherwise she will strarve for an hour or so.. would not ordered from them again if I can helped it !

Do not go to this place. Waited a long time for our order to be taken, waited ages and ages for food, had to remind them to give us rice with our beef when the beef finally came. They seemed to serve the chinese customers quickly enough.... but we were forgotten. Avoid this place.

This is my first time writing a review on Google. This is restaurant is absolutely AMAZING! My friends and I were just passing it last Friday night. I believe that we would feel really regretted if we didn't walked into it. The dishes are absolutely DELICIOUS. As a mainland Chinese, in the last three years, I found that this is the only one restaurant which offers pure and authentic Chinese food across the GB. They cooked food quite well. The cooking timing is just right, not too burned or soggy. It is also not too expensive, about £50 for five adults. Quick service as well. HIGHLY RECOMMANEDED!

Made on online delivery order for them. the delivery was well over 1 hour late and the food is barely warm and not really edible.

Most authentic Chinese meal I've had. Food was excellent, spicy and complex. Simple dining area, but the food is the star. Great, friendly service.

Went here last night with my family and had a great time. The food was outstanding and we tried loads of authentic dishes that we have never tried before. Don’t bother coming here if you want a standard Chinese takeaway as that isn’t what this restaurant offers, they offer authentic Chinese food (which is delicious) and excellent service. I highly recommend the Tso Chicken dish!! Big thanks to the maitre d, her service was exceptional, very friendly and knows all the dishes like the back of her hand. I encourage you to ask lots of questions and if you’re not sure what to go for, none of her recommendations could be faulted!

Visited for the first and last time last night: I ordered a starter and main; both arrived at the same time. The corn soup was so sweet it needed two portions of soy to make it edible the main was not much better, Yes it is cheap but for a reason as it is not good and to add to the disappointment they only take cash, Cash only in 2020 really!!!

The food is average ok, the girl who’s in the bar is really unfriendly. Not as good as we expected, bit disappointed

It truly was... so good. Every noodle...so good. Every beansprout... so good. The bean curd... so good. Tsing Tao... so good. Service... impeccable. Overall... so good.

Quite clearly Chinese food as per China. Aimed largely for local Chinese students who need comfort food. Quality good though a little pricey. Place is a bit basic and like a canteen. If they can fix that up this would be an amazing place !! Will come again.

Myself and my wife's favourite restaurant for authentic Chinese food. The decor is not the best and neither is the temperature of the drinks but the food is perfect, serving many mainland favourite dishes. 10/10

Mi hija y yo descubrimos este pequeño lugar escondido en Cardiff, ya que estábamos pasando, habiendo decidido a buscar comida china para almorzar.Era bastante tarde, sobre las 2:15 pm, y fuimos a ver el menú en la ventana para decidir si podíamos razonablemente por almuerzo en el 45 minutos hasta que cerró.El menú en sí fue muy sorprendente para mí tienen una 'comer en menú, que contiene un montón de lo que yo considero la 'comida china' (como los pulmones de ternera con salsa agria y caliente), en vez de la versión más típico inglés de comida china, que en general era lo que había en el menú 'para llevar'.A mi shock, vi que tienen un "comer en plato "que me pareció solo existía en América - Pollo general .. Es un pollo en empanada crujiente, con una especie de salsa dulce y amarga, pero con guindillas, y es increíble. Habiendo visto esta opción, ambos tuvimos que ir y probarlo.La camarera señora fue muy amable en nosotros estar aunque no tuvimos mucho tiempo, trajimos nuestras bebidas y pedimos pollo del general, cordero con jengibre y cebolla, carne crujiente triturados y algunos especiales de arroz frito para compartir.Muy rápidamente, la comida llegó, y yo me alegré de que sólo tenía una porción de arroz, porque era enorme y ni siquiera terminar.La comida era excelente, el General y hay de pollo, así que el cordero era tan tierna y sabrosa, y mi hija comentó que la carne de ternera, como de hecho probado en vez de sólo algunos empanada crujiente como en otros lugares.Todo llegó a 30 libras, que era un toque caro, pero Ay Dios mío - General y hay de pollo!! Merece la pena, llevamos las sobras de distancia con nosotros, y puedo decir sin una sombra de duda, volveremos.Estoy incluso pensando en cómo a menudo puedo conducir hasta Cardiff desde Londres para conseguir mi solucionar!Ah, una cosa a tener en cuenta, es efectivo sólo para el 'comer en la opción '- tienen una tarjeta sólo para pedidos máquina comer, pero me pillaron y tuve que andar un poco hasta el cajero automático más próximo.

Primera visita, el lugar estaba fría y poco atractivos. Pero nos aventuramos nada menos que yo no habíaestado aquí antes.El personal, I creyente, tres de las cuales, un concurso esperanzados de mostrador de recepción. Pensé "Esto no parece bueno" de todos modos, mi comida para llevar y me fui.El primer plato que tuve fue sopa caliente y amarga, que estaba delicioso, colorido y bien equilibrado. El pollo al curry fue una decepción. aguado, nada de sabor de curry y sosa. Cuándo se podría equiparar a "browning de pollo en salsa con arroz hervido" quelos trenes estos chefs ?!

Sabes cómo auténtico la comida china es cuando vas y verá todo el lugar frecuentado por amigos de China.

Realmente disfrutamos de la comida aquí. Fuimos a tomar unas bebidas y comida. La comida era muy sabroso y el restaurante era muy auténtico. La señora que dirige el restaurante era realmente encantador. Restaurante estaba lleno. La comida no era demasiado rápido pero que estaba muy bien, ya que podíamos disfrutar de nuestra noche en vez de ninguna prisa. Tenía un llevar otra vez. Aprobado

Pésimo servicio, muy escaso y estábamos esperando y hora y media para el plato principal. También he sido violentamente y proyectil enfermos después de sólo comer el plato. No tengas la tentación de comer el plato principal, se llevaron. También sólo lleva dinero en efectivo como pago también que es más incómodo y no nos avisaron de entrada nada.
