Cold day so the pub had its fire on was very busy being a Sunday we had reserved a table which was right next to the fire, friendly service, good pub food, can take your dog in although we didn’t because it was so full and it’s quite a big dog - the pub in the winter is not huge, summer there is lots of out door space and a good sized carpark. Pricing of food in context for the area reasonable. More gravy with the roast would be my only feedback.

Not impressed, beautiful pub,but felt unwelcome ,bar woman didn't listen, asked for two packets of crisps, got one packet, asked for no ice or lemon in my coke and got both, told to move from a large table to facilitate a possible larger group, so moved, only to see another couple take the same table and not asked to move, bar maid more interested in locals at the corner of the bar,if your not a local don't bother.

We tried to visit this pub 12 months ago. It was closed, contrary to its advertised opening times. Strange, we thought but moved on. We returned to the Cotswolds for this Festive Season (2024) and again tried to frequent the place. We arrived at 3.10pm and noticed people were departing the carpark. All 6 of us disembarked our vehicle and as we approached the entry door noticed a female close the curtains behind the door. We tried the door but it was locked. My daughter knocked on the door - a loud voice simply shouted “ closed”. No personal touch, in fact extremely rude. We went to the side window and peered in. The same female ignored our taps on the window, switched off the lights and walked out the back. Why did we try so hard? The ‘opening hours’ said it was open until 6pm but reserved the right to ad hoc change those hours if it was extra busy or quiet. Great customer service - not. Great customer care - not! Great customer interaction- definitely not!! With so many pubs struggling in these current times, this isn’t one that deserves to survive. If hard work pays dividends, it’s time for this place to cash out. Never again.

Like a few other reviewers, I have experienced a very frosty reception and a ‘local pub for local people’ atmosphere on occasional visits. Blatantly serving some people and telling others they were closed. And not done in a nice or professional way. Lovely looking pub but clearly don’t feel the need to try very hard.

My boyfriend and I visited Snowshill Arms in June 2024, after a visit to the Lavender fields nearby. We were a bit tired and very hungry. Although we arrived shortly before their break, they served us food fast and without any unnecessary nagging. They even put two pints in our hands before being able to say anything. I really liked this approach. And the whole place as a whole. Traditional and cozy, with lovely little garden. True gem.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Snowshill Manor and Garden is truly a hidden gem for history and art lovers! The manor itself is filled with an impressive collection of eclectic treasures collected by Charles Wade, from Samurai armor to vintage musical instruments, and the National Trust staff bring these displays to life with fascinating stories. The gardens are beautifully terraced, offering peaceful views, a lovely dovecote, and even a charming model village.

This place is exactly what we were looking for in a post-hike pub lunch. The historic building is rustic and simple, but typically beautiful, charming, and authentically preserved. The food is not outstanding, but its prepared very well, hearty and delicious. Service is friendly. Hiking from Stanton into Snowshill is a special experience, as you exit the woods into a hilltop meadow with a view of the village perched below amidst the surrounding hills. It would have been a great spot for a picnic, but alas we descended across the meadow into the village and to the pub, which was perfect.

Thank goodness for country pubs like this, too many have closed in the last few decades. It is popular with locals and visitors alike but never appears overcrowded. My sister and I had booked an evening meal on Saturday at 7.p.m. On arrival on time we bought drinks and sat outside. We were given a menu with many items not available, and no chicken dishes at all. So we both ordered a ribeye steak. Nothing having arrived by 7.45 we complained and eventually the meal arrived at 8.00. The steak was very tough and we couldn't finish it. We are both experienced cooks, and it seemed as though it had been cooked some time earlier and then warmed up in a microwave. When we went to pay we complained about the meal and the chef/manager? was dismissive and simply said they were very busy - a summer Saturday night - surprise! Such a shame as we have been for lunch in the past and it was OK - my husband is a Donnington ale fan. Never ever again though.

My partner and I had visited the nearby Broadway tower and decided to look at places to stay in the future to explore more. We came to this pretty village and stopped to look at some accommodation. I got out of the car to and was shouted at by the owner, telling me I couldn’t park there. Which we weren’t going to do as it clearly had a drop curve. We drove past the pub and decided to call in for food. We had a warm welcome. The menu had a good selection especially for two vegetarians. Attitude or what?! Have visited this place many times before and been delighted with the hospitality, what a disappointment this time! Ordered two ‘specials’ as normally the best you can get when fresh and great locally sourced products. Ordered Gloucester Old Spot Sausages with mash, peas in a Yorkshire pudding with rich gravy. Well, look what turned up - see pic. Turns out to be a bought in Yorkshire Pudding with contents. Spot the difference, one with two sausages and one with a third more main ingredient, three sausages! I called over what appeared to be the landlady/boss and politely asked why one had two sausages and the other three. She curtly (without a smile or jokingly, despite it being April Fools day) advised the two serving were bigger sausages!! Unbelievable!! One appeared bigger because it had been incorrectly cooked and burst open!! I just looked at her in disbelief, and then the killer comment (made in all seriousness, not in jest) said she would remove one of mine to make two each!!!! Couldn’t make it up. Would have laughed if her wicked eyes weren’t aimed at my back and would have killed me!!! Unbelievable! To rub salt in to the wounds, the sausages were questionably Gloucester Old Spot as completely over salted and IF they were, then from a questionable butcher in my opinion. Departed, hungry, most of our lunch left. Never again. Warning, unless you like to be treated as if in FawltyTowers, then avoid.

We've lunched in the Rosado Lounge a number of times over the last three years with our young children. Service is prompt and friendly. Interesting menu with something for every taste. Food is tasty and well presented. Plenty to do for young kids; toys, drawing, colouring. Atmosphere informal and fairly loud. Perhaps not the place for a quiet, romantic lunch for two. Good kids menu including a snack starter and drink in the price. Order and pay on a straightforward App. The kids make as much mess as they like and the staff are still smiling. I'm not a fan of dogs, but always found a table far enough away from them - so far! A dog-free area might be an idea for the management to consider.

Sunday lunch visit Two of us thought we’d try the Sunday roast here. All okay/standard fayre. IMO lamb overcooked ( likely beef was too looking at others). Veg was fine but white cabbage, not my choice for cabbage as looks so bland/unappetising. No veggie choice as advertised, vegan only, bit disappointing. Food was warm when served, prefer mine hot out of kitchen; couldn’t be bothered asking for it to be microwaved. Paid extra for a cauliflower cheese, sadly no discernible taste of cheese. Likely visit again for drinks as pleasant outdoor garden, but doubt for food.
