Great location by the river, lovely staff, great tasting coffee. Dog friendly as well with views over the Ham.

I’m a returning customer and I can confidently say that the Riverside Cafe is a local gem! The coffee and the food is well prepared. The venue has fantastic panoramic views of the river and local walks are nearby. There’s comfortable seating outside and the venue is well positioned to catch the sun, with parasols in place to provide shade (if required). The proprietor raises money for charity by playing the guitar at the weekends and this adds to the splendid and calming atmosphere. All in all, each visit has always been as good as the last.

A lovely spot, right next to the river, I think that was the best bit. We had two baguettes and two drinks and I think the cost was about £17. Now, don't get me wrong, I know it's small, I don't mind disposable paper cups or the bamboo leaf plates, but surely you can do better. I'm not after the Ritz, but maybe some garnish and a few crisps to make the baguettes look a little more presentable and maybe worth the cost. I've been to lots of cafes that have simple premises, with small facilities, but they do tend to make a bit of an effort.

Terrible service. The girl could not be more abrupt. A shame as the coffee and location are good. Rude servers spoil the experience

We visited today, firstly there is no toilets. You are directed to weatherspoons for facilities. The menu seem fair for a small establishment. However despite a conversation with the employee about whether she had the ingredients to make a hotdog she failed to put it on the order - ok a genuine mistake - but this made me question the prices as I had believed I paid for the hotdog. £2.00 for a packet of crisps!!! £4.50 for a slice of cake. £3.50 for coffee that was weak and served in paper cups! The employees were very quick to tell me they don’t set the prices and that I could take the managers details - despite being bored due to lack of customers they were doing their job. Advice to anyone visiting- lovely view but incredibly overpriced and almost below average quality.

We were searching for a special place for coffee and cake and were thrilled to find this place tucked away from the street by the river. Great coffee and GF cake and delicious Bagels. We were also treated to busking in aid of heart foundation!

Great location but the menu requires a revamp it isn’t great value. I don’t like to leave a bad review but the wraps were very basic & the nachos very cheap ingredients. Otherwise a nice place for a coffee by the river abs friendly helpful staff.

This is a lovely little place, its only outside seating and you order inside. It is as it says in the name riverside so it’s peaceful and scenic. We were lucky not many bugs! The coffee was very good and unlike many chain cafes very hot. A lady at a nearby table playing her harp was a nice touch.

What a little gem the Riverside Cafe is. Lovely location. Friendly staff. Great food and drink. Today we had the added bonus of being serenaded by a fine musician. Have been here on many occasion. We love it.

It's a great place to chill as the service can be slow at times as all the food is freshly prepared. It's right on the river Avon so you can watch the ducks and admire the view across the meadows to the Malvern Hills. The two ladies in the little kitchen work hard to turn out the food as fast as they can so be patient. Our wrap and croissant was delicious.

Oh dear - major disappointment: all was wanted was a decent cup of coffee (note cup not paper cup) and a yummy pastry as a Sunday morning treat. What did we find? Slow service 20 minutes plus to wait for one paper cup of decaf coffee which cost an additional 50pence and two pastries which bore a resemblance to those found lurking in motorway service stations.

Love this cafe. Try and get there most days especially when the sun is shining. Ample choice of hot and cold food, lovely tea or coffee, team happy to bring food and drink to me as disabled without fuss. The key to the cafe is its awesome location. Overlooks the Avon and across towards The Malverns. Handy for the town and ideal for me to sit, read a book and relax. Highly recommended.

Great location overlooking the river and nice to sit out in the sunshine but definitely “tourist” prices, £12.00 for 2 coffees and 1 slice of cake which was nothing out of the ordinary and I doubt homemade. Everything served in disposable paper ware with wooden cutlery. As a local I would say there are better quality places in Tewkesbury you are certainly paying a premium for the view.

Owner welcoming, food good and service with a smile and nothing was too much trouble. Add to this it’s riverside location and I honestly think this will become a very popular place as the word gets out. Found the menus a bit confusing as it was all on blackboards, some inside and some outside but that was my only criticism after a pleasant visit.

You can't beat the location of this venue and therefore you tend to have to pay the price for it. Expensive ice cream which was ok quality but sat for 10 minutes in one of the most idyllic places in Tewkesbury.

We stopped for a sandwich and cuppa. £4.50 for a baguette with sparse amount of butter and 2 pieces of cheese…absolutely nothing else. Very expensive for mediocre quality. Such a shame. Very nice cup of tea though.
