Absolutely awful. I’m lactose intolerant, they were unable to provide anything other than small individual portions of soya milk. No dairy free/vegan products, very surprising in this day and age! I don’t expect to be provided with much but was hoping for a warm milky drink, latte or hot chocolate or even a cup soup. I bought a hoodie from the shop and was given a dirty look from the shop assistant. Really bad attitude from most of the staff. I have been to similar types of places elsewhere and this is by far the worst example of it’s sort. Captive audience yes but not helping promote Welsh tourism!

If you have a dog make sure you take your own water as the cafe no longer excepts dogs . We went up a month ago and all was good : water bowls everywhere but no more they wouldn't even give us tap water to put in our own bowl's. Absolutely ridiculous...

Extremely disappointed to see the staff weren't willing to help an old man charge his phone and allow him to walk back 5hrs without charge on his phone. Discussed in this uncharitable behaviour

A warm Welsh welcome from Stephan. Visited with a large group. Roaring fire & plentiful drinks. Very accommodating. 5*

Visited today, Sunday lunch time. Requested a roast turkey sandwich…no turkey left. Requested ham, egg & chips….no ham left. Ordered an Egg mayo sandwich and a tuna and cucumber sandwich, both served with a side salad and slaw. Sandwiches we arrived….no coleslaw….! £16 for 2 sandwiches…..pretty poor!

We came to try their new winter menu and was not disappointed, the new dirty burger with the cheese and extra beef was loved by all. Drinks were pricey, but everywhere is these days

Wouldn’t rush back. Waited 45 minutes for our meal. Nothing was said when ordering that there would be a long wait. When it finally arrived there was no apology for the wait. Food itself was not bad

The little beer shed has changed hands and is now a mini bakery outlet selling some quite good bread, coffee and baked snacks. I hope that Ales and Tails mobile operation is still out and about.
