We think this has new owners as we encountered friendly , efficient service and excellent tea and scones . The scones were large , freshly made that morning , and very fairly priced . Most customers were having bacon sandwiches and the cafe is obviously gaining a good reputation . They deserve to do well . ( How about adding a vegetarian/vegan option to the menu ? Or use oat milk in the scones instead of dairy - then we can all eat them ! )

Steer clear this place is awful. Rude staff and absolutely filthy. Overpriced. Microwaved bacon and sausages. Watered down tea and coffee

The Snowdon Cafe on Platform 1 of a at Bangor most unfriendly people I have met in my life of travelling around U.K. and the world. The older couple were aggressive, unhelpful and I ended up leaving my drink to get away. The old man even followed me and tried to find out why I was chatting to the station guard.

Great to find a friendly no nonsense railway station buffet serving good quality snacks and beverages in a traditional setting. The bacon baps are delicious.

A decent buffet can make all the difference to a desolate station. With few trains to liven the place, Bangor station can seem a depressing place. But here's the Snowdon Buffet, lit up, warm inside, and with great bacon baps. Newspapers and magazines also on sale. It's how station buffets used to be.

Basic independently run local cafe thats furnished in a traditional style. Better priced and better service than your large station chain buffet establishments, Extensive opening times. Food is snacks and light lunch suchy as sausage or bacon baps, wide choice of hot drinks served in proper cups.

Asked for tap water and the lady complained at me about her water rates and business being bad enough so no I have to go to the toilets if I want a top up. So I didn't bother buying anything else. I'm not surprised business is bad.

Popped in for 15 mins whilst waiting for the train to Llanfairfechan. Had a tea and black coffee for £4. Drink in or takeaway. You can't bring your own food and drink in. Newspapers for sale and a good choice of drinks and snacks. Clean tables. Friendly staff. Just what we needed on a brisk September morning!

There is times of the day where there's no alternative for having a coffee in town. We went here twice during our visit of Caernarfon. I did not take a coffee at the second visit as I didn't like it. It is less clean inside and everything seems a little loveless. The sweet cakes etc. are great though. At least, the products are rather inexpensive.

Alana is a scam artist. Sends damaged squashed and disgusting cakes and then refuses to refund, would not order again from these people

We made the mistake of going back to this pub having visited several times over the years, it was completely dead and the bar lady had a serious attitude problem, when two other guests arrived the bar woman was now siting in the corner and i pointed her out simple saying the bar woman was over there - she completely turned on me obviously annoyed i’d called her a bar woman ( she clearly wasn’t a solicitor) which also resulted in her partner becoming extremely aggressive and was expecting a physical assault to be taking place, luckily i managed to de escalate the situation which if full of locals would’ve only been worse. The woman clearly has mental health problems and probably a drug user and shouldn’t be working in an environment selling alcohol.

We were looking for somewhere downtown harlech for a drink and food with our two boys, 9 and 14 years of age. We read the sign outside. Everyone welcome except for children. Dogs especially welcome. Adults only. A few of the local guys told me it's a swingers hotel where the dogs can get involved. Avoid. If you do want a good pint with holiday makers and locals all enjoying good food and drink and friendly conversation I would highly recommend walking an extra 200yds to the pub right next to the train station. Dogs, kids, humans all seem to be equally welcome
