Called today for breakfast. Had to wait nearly an hour at which point I said we needed to leave shortly. The breakfast suddenly appeared. Everything was cold and eggs overdone! Paid and left but no one was interested enough to ask if everything was ok. Definitely will not go back and wish I’d read trip advisor before going in

Stopped here with some friends on a cycle ride for coffee and mid-morning snack. The coffee was Ok but that's about all that was good about it. One of my friends ordered Beans on Toast (her second choice as they didn't have the first) and when it came the bread was mouldy and she sent it back. I ordered a Scone (A very average scone at that) with Butter and it came with margerine so that's 2 items we took back out of 4. My other friend said his cake was Ok but they didn't have much choice. Very little in the way of apology. If I'd have realised it was the same place with a different name, I'd have avoided it but I certainly shall in future.

Visited today, got a cup of tea & a tea cake. The tea was warm & the tea cake was cold. There were no lights on,no music & was served by staff in coats & scarves?! To add to this, there was nothing to dry your hands on in the toilets?! Absolutely dreadful, poor quality & poor service. Won’t be going again, absolute waste of money!!

Visited here freqently when the previous owners Chris and Sophie owned it, Always Great, accompanied by 5 Star Hygene Certificate. Decided at around 10am to visit with my wife, as I fancied a Breakfast. On entry, no staff member was behind the counter to either welcome us, or serve us. Then what looked like a customer in her coat, with a baby appeared to serve us. The baby was given to 2 female friends to hold, whilst she took our order. The detoriation in standards and cleanliness, was incredible. Dirty Counter, Dirty tables, Sticky floor, Finger marks all over the cake covers, a box of books thrown on a settee at the entrance, high chairs left anywhere, mop and bucket propped up against the sink, Toilets locked, cutlery, salt and pepper pots dirty, the list just goes on and on. What I should have done, is to turn round and walk out, but against my better judgement, I decided to stay and order 1x Breakfast, and 1 X Sausage Sandwich. The "Customer" took our order without any real enthusiasm or interest. At this time, a young girl arrived, and walked behind the counter, again in her coat. The "Customer" said to her, shall I turn on the cooker and start cooking, to which she said yes. The "Customer" disappeared out the back to start cooking. At no time did either server take there coats off, Nobody washed there hands in the sink leading to the kitchen area. We found a table to sit at, and waited for our order. Whilst waiting, on several occasions, the woman holding the baby, belonging to the person cooking our food, walked up and down the cafe past our table, stating that the baby was having a Dump!! This was incredible, and not what you want to hear anywhere, especially in a food establishment. The food arrived, with cold, tinned tomatoes. The eggs were so over cooked, that no yoke was visible. The bread/toast was fresh, and the 2 drinks hot. My wife ate her sausage sandwich. At this point, we had lost all interest, and left.

We went to the snack shack with friends last Saturday and were very disappointed with our visit, the service was poor, the staff seemed very young and inexperienced, they had no customer services skills and the cutlery was dirty. We won’t be returning.

waited over 20 mins for a takeaway bacon and sausage sandwich. returned as no sauce as asked for, sausage not cooked and bacon very tough and clearly reheated, very salty and greasy. staff very young (maybe still at school, which may explain things). one bite of sandwich and it went in the bin. Will not return,

This place has so much potential. The impression I got was that they do the bare minimum but charge cafe prices. I ordered a tuna salad. It was lettuce, cucumber, tomato, pepper with a can on tuna emptied on top, served in a bowl with a drizzle of dressing. £4.50 is very expensive for what it was, a bit of coleslaw, pickles or a few other salad bits wouldn't go a miss. When you eat out for lunch you expect a few little touches to give it fitness. I got the impression the staff do not enjoy what they do. The table also had not been tidied from the previous dinners. It's a cute café in a market town, make more effort please.

We popped in for a late lunch having never tried this place before. Oh dear. We had already ordered drinks and sandwiches before sitting down and realising the tables and floor are dirty, stained with food remnants. The tea cup came and was dirty, although replaced without fuss. Sandwiches were fine but appeared low quality ingredients. Could not recommend and def needs a good clean.

Been in this shop couple of times - the food choice is good and there nothing too fancy or pretentious about this place. The customer service is very friendly and feels almost like been a home guest. Prices are excellent. In the shop sometimes it gets bit stuffy due to cooking next door - so do not wear your finest new clothes! Outside areas are to the front and back and are really nice.

Popped in for drinks with the kids and ended up having an early lunch as the place was bright and warm and the lady who runs or owns it was very welcoming. Yummy toasties and bacon sarnies, kids loved the brownies, good value. Strange earlier comments here on TA as we found the place to be spotless and the service very good even though it was busy. Will be back in the summer.

Awful experience. Slow to get food out. It was sat on side for ages. Tables sticky and not clean clear it is not a one off either. We watched them take 20 mins to clear a table after person left and then didnt spray or wipe down.No wonder they don't display their good hygiene rating which has dropped to a 2 since last owners. needs a good clean, I am all for supporting local businesses but there are standards. Won't be back.

First impressions we brilliant it was service with a smile as soon as we walked in! I went there and had a pea and ham soup, it was DELICIOUS! Also I ham salad sandwich with the soup and it was gorgeous! The sandwich was packed with filling it was oozing out the sides! The best thing is it only cost me £4.75! The service was amazing aswell! The 3 ladies couldn’t do more for you! They were always asking me if I wanted anything else and if everything was okay!

Went there for lunch today with my daughter. I ordered tomato soup which cost me £3.95. I expected the soup to be homemade as a minimum, for that price, but it was definitely out of a tin. I could have just bought myself a can of Heinz soup from Tesco for 85p and saved myself £3.10. What a rip off and how can the owners expect to do well if that's how they treat their customer! Will not be going there again.

After going in and sitting down with two grandchildren was difficult to find out whether it was waitress or counter service. After 10 minutes of seeing virtually no one we finally found out it must be counter service. Went to the counter to order and was told that the girl would come and get our order. In the mean time the table behind commented there was no cutlery, they were told to get it from our table, which would have left us with none. Another 10 minutes went by two grandkids playing up so asked if we were going to be served were just told soon. Got up and left. Why not clearly sign it was counter service (as most other places do) and for crying out load why not ask the customers what they want. Will never go in the place again and would really suggest you find an alternative. Customer service not as good as it was in 1959!!!

We visited here at lunchtime. My husband chose a ham and cheese panini which was served with a side salad, coleslaw and crisps. He thoroughly enjoyed it. I chose a toasted tea cake which was freshly toasted and still hot when served. The coffees were tasty. Good value.

Wow - is this the place for toasties! They do lots of different ones and all are made fresh as you wait. I had a chicken, bacon and cheese on white bread at £4.60 and it was stuffed with real chicken pieces, not sliced processed chicken meat. My friend had bacon, mozzarella and cranberry on seeded brown bread costing £4.95. Both were excellent and were like meals on their own. We would definitely go back.

Beautiful cafe full of potential, there's a good menu and the cakes looked delicious. However, our breakfasts were very disappointing. I ordered mushrooms on toast which tasted very nice, but had only a sparse scattering of mushrooms, probably two dessert spoonfuls if that. I left feeling hungry, definitly not worth £3.50. My friends had the full English breakfasts which looked very nice, but had to be sent back because the beans and chopped tomatoes were cold. Overall a disappointing experience.

Never judge a book by its cover. The name does not inspire good cuisine, and the board outside offering fried breakfasts at a great price backed this up. However, inside it is not a 'greasy spoon', but an airy, clean and modern cafe with a board offering light lunches. My choice of smoked cheddar and onion hot sandwich with pesto and salad was superb. The tea was perfect. The choice of background music was exactly to my taste. Definitely will return.

On arrival, seemed clean and bright, friendly and welcoming staff....then we were brought our food....would have preferred not to have the addition of the female owners hair!!!!!!! Food looked good, but to find a hair in my food is totally unacceptable and when it was mentioned to the owner she said it's impossible it's hers, must be mine?!?! Erm my hair is pure white, this is black?!?! I didn't even make a fuss, just asked her to change my food but her attitude was disgusting and we were then made to feel totally unwelcome. Personally I think she should have apologised, changed the food and nothing more would have been said. Also just a note on professionalism, if you can't spell maybe get someone else to do your signs I the window. Also when advertising home made cakes make sure your delivery of 'home made' cakes isn't done in front of the customers! Will not be returning needless to say!

This newly opened cafe is light and bright with very pleasant and efficient service. The baked potatoes are a dream, as is the home-made coleslaw. Lots of other home-made offerings, too, by the look of it. Beautifully clean loo, though you have to go outside to get to it.

first few times the super steps breakfast was really good. Friendly staff good prices. Within the last few days went again but although the breakfast was the same size the addition of a 6" piece of human hair on the plate was off putting to say the least. Not going again

Nipped in for a beer whilst out shopping in Beverly. It's a little difficult to find as it's on the next street back from the market. It's a bit like Dr Who's Tardis, looks small from the outside, but it's not, its massive inside. Lots of the usual spoons drinks on offer, plus lots of real ales on the bear festival menu. Toilets were of course, upstairs!

Stopped here forca quick drink while out in the town. Love a mocha from here and husband loves the Americano with milk. Nice shop, usually very clean but was very busy so tables were not being cleared as quick as usual. We ended up clearing our own! Staff friendly and polite and drinks good value for money.
