Nice food for less, you have eat here, prices are good.

Had a lovely Sunday roast yesterday, 100% recommend and great atmosphere , we will be back.

It didn’t feel welcoming at all. Locals blocking the entrance to the bar, meaning everyone had to walk between them and their conversation. The bar staff were fine but were so busy that it took a while to be served (only about 6 customers in the pub on a Friday lunchtime!). The beer options are good and the food looked ok from what I saw a table order. Lots of outdoor seating which is lovely in the good weather! We will try it again one day but not in a rush.

A really lovely pub in the heart of Herne Village. Sadie and the team are really welcoming, and have done a cracking job on getting the place up to a great standard. Well worth popping in!!

Popped in for a quick lunch from work, the food came out quickly and was lovely with good portion sizes. Since under new management the decor is brighter and a warm atmosphere, a new screen and live music some nights! The service was excellent too we will definitely go again.

Pup looks lovely after changing hands. Popped in for lunch, was extremely happy with the homemade food that was plentiful. Very friendly staff. Will definitely be returning.

Best pub in Kent! We went for the coronation and Colin & Paul made us feel very welcome! Such a laugh, duke box, good drinks & pool table / darts. Go if you’re in the area !

A beautifully maintained pub with character and charm. The secluded private beer garden to the rear is an unexpected bonus to anyone unfamiliar with the pub and a great space to enjoy leisure time. This is a cash only hostelry, so be prepared or walk 2 minutes to the nearby ATM.

Interesting old inn with historical nearby church. Good selection of beers and friendly staff. Much of the old interior has been cleared away during modernisation.

Went for a funeral buffet good food and a decent sized garden if weather OK

Friendly place but very limited choice of real ales. Cash only which is very surprising these days and not at all helpful in such a small village.

Love this pub. Nestled in the very heart of Herne. Views of the church and the sound of jackdaws upon the breeze. Garden is reasonable my only gripe is no food! If they did food would be amazing.

Great place friendly people and great staff.

My family and I had my mums wake here today and the smugglers put on a wonderful spread for us. We had one of the bars to ourselves and they have a really beautiful garden and excellent disabled access. They looked after us really well with the food and service and I cannot thank them enough. I would highly recommend the smugglers.

Came to Herne for a few nights visit. Went into Smugglers on a Sunday afternoon. Landlord made us feel very welcome and couldn't do enough for us. Has that nice local pub atmosphere which is lacking in most pubs now. Well recommended and will go back if in the area again.

Good wheelchair access. Beautiful garden. Very nice place.

Had my grandson's christening party here, it was lovely, they did the spread which was very good, staff were friendly and garden was kept well!! A great day!!

Lovely little Pub, a bit pricey on the Guinness but over all it is an old pub in an old Village. The Staff are friendly and welcoming.

Great friendly local pub everyone welcome

Big old fashioned boozer with a public bar (with a pool table and darts) on one side and a ever so slightly more comfy saloon bar on the other. Two Sheps ales on handpump. It's difficult to know whether the Smugglers suffers or benefits from being over the road from the Butcher's Arms. My party went in there having just found that Butcher's didn't open until 6.
