Excellent food in great surroundings on the top floor. Steep but nice place for an occasion. Service good too. Headed downstairs for a quick drink after which was also good.

The place is stunning. The views from top floor are amazing. The food was fabulous. High quality, well prepared, spot on presentation. The staff is very attentive and always on hand to help. Felt very welcoming. Highly recommend for both the meal and the view. The terrace in the summer is definitely the perfect choice.

Service was excellent, gave some advice on food options and provided alternatives when things weren’t available. Would definitely eat and drink here again! Alex and the lady behind the bar were great, would highly recommend

First floor restaurant always has good , well cooked food and a stylish , airy, atmosphere . Our service was excellent especially from the helpful wine waitress . On of my favourite places to eat in the City

Went there for early dinner. Half of the menu wasn't available. Waiters were busier laughing together and reorganising the terrasse rather than attending their guests. And it was so so expensive i couldn't believe it! Really sad with this experience as we like to attend the pub. But top floor restaurant to be avoided!

We visited the No.3 Rooftop Restaurant as three friends for dinner. A good menu was the highlight of a extremely disappointing evening. One guest ordered a cod dish and was served, by the waitress’s admission, when questioned, John Dory. This was even more impressive when one considers that John Dory, did not appear anywhere on the evening’s menu! Another guest ordered a medium rare sirloin steak - the result was a cremated sole of a shoe! Service was distant and rushed. Wine was ok, but expensive Coffee was surprisingly good, given the rest of the fare. The final straw was the bill, which totalled a cool £110 per person They should make the most of this rip-off, as we ‘won’t get fooled again’

Was good food, service was very slow but friendly, just seemed understaffed, but the cod roe hash browns were the bomb!

Fui a una reunión con colegas y me quedé a comer espléndidamente. El tiempo era increíble y las vistas sobre los tejados siempre son buenas. Decidimos tener 5 platos pequeños entre 3 de nosotros más un poco de focaccia increíble. La encantadora Lenka nos atendió tan bien y recomendó algunos platos estupendos. Una camarera joven que creo que es nueva, cuidada a través de la comida. Recomiendo encarecidamente el pulpo y el chorizo, la vieira y la sepia, pero todos los platos eran buenos. Siempre un buen ambiente y el tiempo lo hicieron perfecto.

Was so lucky that a wonderful work colleague introduced me to Rooftop Number 3 on a recent business trip to London! Stunning views over London, great wine list and the bar snacks (especially the oysters) were phenomenal. We were lucky with the balmy weather, had a great table inside but the open layout really allowed us to enjoy the feeling of being outdoors. The lovely Giota was the most amazing hostess - great food and wine suggestions, personable and friendly! Can't wait for my next visit!

Yesterday, we had a fantastic lunch in a private function room at The Grill, at Smiths of Smithfield as part of my sister’s hen party. The food was very tasty although chips would have been a welcome addition to our steak, the room was perfect with a great atmosphere, & the staff who looked after us, Alex & Klaudia, could not have been lovelier or more attentive. Sandra, through whom I booked the room, was very efficient & generously accommodating! Thank you everyone!

My friend and I enjoyed a wonderful lunch on the ground floor at Smiths yesterday afternoon. The service provided was faultless, it was a pleasure to be there. We enjoyed the generous food, and paired with their rose prosecco was just perfect. We want to commend our hostess and all the staff at Smiths for a great time. Thank you!

We hosted a client party on the 3rd floor last night for 180 people and had such an amazing experience. From the start to finish everything went so smoothly. On arrival I was greeted by Sian who had overseen the set up beautifully, Dani then took over and ran the event so smoothly ensuring the night was a success. Callum, Dorina and Kashayla were fantastic at keeping everyone's drinks topped up. The canapes were delicious so big shout out to those in the kitchen that sorted those out. Overall I think it is one of the easiest events I have run thanks to the staff at Smith of Smithfields.

Había 2 camareros ayudando con bebidas durante la noche, que funcionó bien. Me complace haber elegido este lugar para mi evento y enviar mis mejores deseos al personal. Se sentía como un lugar espacioso con instalaciones sanitarias en el primer piso. El venu parecía tener 3 pisos, y me di cuenta de barras en la planta baja y primera.

A top-notch Top Floor Experience! Amazing service from the always professional and lovely Lenka! Beautiful of London on the sunny patio a perfect place to relax and enjoy a glass of Nytimber sparkling! Chef Stan is leading the show by creating magical dishes in that kitchen, let me tell you: the most perfect oysters with playful tequila granita, scallop tartare with lardo to die for, delightful pickled tomatoes, Devon crab and zesty yuzu.. need I say more!?

Food, fairly sure just reheated frozen goods from HQ supply chain, but then it is pub grub. Service, decent and attentive, we were a group and they did their best to accommodate. Atmosphere. Another bar which plays music far too loud making conversations a bit if a shouting match. Drinks. Standard stuff, nothing on tap or in a bottle that would blow your mind.

The Grill: Fabulous steaks! T-bone, Rump, both excellent. Fantastic chips! Lovely Bearnaise sauce. Polite & friendly staff. However… No check back to see if all was good with our food, evening, or would we like to order anymore drinks. Once served, that was it in terms of staff interaction.

I’ve had two breakfasts at Smiths in the last two months with both experiences being very similar. The main issue is the levels and speed of service. All the staff are polite but you really need to allow half an hour before they ask you if you’d like a drink. Then you’ll need to reorder said drinks two to three times before it sticks. Your drink will then arrive half an hour later. Upon ordering food, you then need to allow for 45 minutes for it to be cooked. All in all, I’d count on being there two hours. The breakfast itself is serviceable enough.

Smiths of Smithfield No.3 rooftop used to be a firm favourite of mine, a go-to for top-quality steaks and a great atmosphere. However, after not visiting for years, I finally returned and sadly, I won’t be back! The service was excellent, and the views over London remain as stunning as ever, but when a restaurant is famed for its steak, you expect it to deliver. Unfortunately, both our 9oz sirloin (£39) and the 32oz côte de boeuf (£140) were under-seasoned and distinctly average. For a bill north of £500, I’d hoped for something memorable in a good way. Smiths has lost its magic and with so many great steak options in London, I can’t recommend it anymore. A real shame. (PS I didn’t even got my watercress garnish 😅)

Great rooftop not far from central for sunnier days! Perfect for post work drinks, and the triple cooked chips were perfect accompaniment.

Very slow. We waited for 3 hours and dessert has not arrived. It took an hour to serve each course. And we pre ordered 3 days ahead of time. Food was subpar

We had an wonderful experience at Smiths. Maria and Alex were amazing and the steak sides and dessert are out of this world!

We went for oysters. They were warm and tasteless. First price for a bottle of wine was £42! There were 3 members of staff when we arrived and not one of them acknowledged us. We had to approach them to get seated. Oysters were the worst I've ever eaten - just hoping I don't get food poisoning. Load rave music playing was a real turn off. Will not be going back. Very disappointed.

If you’re looking for great food, fantastic service and amazing views over the roof tops the top floor is for you. Great menu or snack menu, must tries are the hash browns and the hake! The team are great and special mention of the lovely Lenka who is a consummate professional and proud of her work and venue she makes every visit that bit better. The view looks over Smithfield market to St Paul’s and the Shard which is magical at night. Sit outside on the terrace and enjoy a great time.

I had an amazing experience at your restaurant and we really enjoy atmosphere and lovely view from terrace. Our group had excellent service from your very professional waitress. She had dark long hair, and her name was Lenka. She recommended me cocktail salted caramel expresso martini. Within a few minutes, she created a lovely cocktail with a big piece of salted caramel. Actually, I never saw this cocktail in the menu anywhere else, and she explained that it is your signature cocktail designed by Pawel. I am a massive expresso martini lover, but this one was one of the best versions I have ever tried in my life. Thank you very much once again, and we are looking forward to visiting you again. Buzzing pub with great dining options. We had a private room for 25, excellent steak.

Service was excellent and I felt very welcome straight away.Jim the waiter came over straight away and made sure I have been seen to,took order for my drink and food.Tge food was excellent i ordered a burger and a large glass of malbec(very nice wine). I was approached by Jim again to make sure everything was OK with my food and drink.Superb Service Definitely will be back soon

We hired the first floor for a private birthday event for my husband and it was great. The process was seamless from beginning to end and it was an excellent evening. A personal shout out to Florian for his hospitality and making sure everyone had what they needed. Would highly recommend

What a fantastic restaurant it's easy to get to with lots of transport options around. Including buses the tube and railways. The service was great very friendly team. Really tried hard to na ke our visit special. There is a great selection of wines professionally served. They specialise in steaks and the the cote de beoufe was amazing. The mash was great and the fried cabbage was amazing. It's well worth a visit.

We visited the place last Saturday with friends, it was my first but certainly not the last time! The place in itself and the view is impressive! First of all I would love to say THANK YOU to Pavel for his extremely courteous and professional service! Because of him we were totally able to have a full experience of the place... the food.. his recommended cocktails. WOW!! We had a lovely time there! We will definitely be back! Lovely upscale restaurant next to Fabric in central London. Food portions are fantastic, if a touch heavy on the deep fryer for the dish and chips. All the same, if you came to England for the cuisine… it’s a bold strategy, Cotton… let’s see how that plays out for you. Rooftop dining has great views, ground level has a fine social pub feel to it. Special shout out to the front of house: Jim is a stellar host. He made sure my entire group (including a non trivial number of daft Yanks) were well cared for, and went above and beyond.

Visited with two friends on a Thursday night, we'd decided not to book and upon entering the downstairs bar were a bit worried we'd made a mistake as it was pretty busy. However we were well looked after by Jim who approached us to see if he could help us, he explained the options of the three floors and we decided to stay downstairs. Jim got us a small table to start with and then moved us to something more comfortable when it was available and made sure the service we got was all good. Drinks and food were good quality and price (for London!) Definitely recommend the bar and thank Jim for his great service.

Reliable and consistent, especially for an excellent breakfast which is far better value than the drinks and other meals. Nice setting with a roof terrace, but often very sparsely populated which gives a below par atmosphere / lack of ‘buzz’.

We recently had a great dining experience at Smiths of Smithfield. We loved the atmosphere! A big thank to Lenka, who brought a wonderful energy to the space and her warm and attentive approach made the evening feel truly enjoyable. The food was equally impressive. I had the hake, which was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. To top it off, a salted caramel martini, well designed by Pawel, was a true delight.

The bass cullen skink was absolutely beautiful as were the oysters and the meat eaters really emjoyed their steaks too. Our server Lukasz was super attentive to the celiac in our group which was much appreciated.

Me and my sister had absolutely delicious dinner yesterday, scallops and steaks were cooked perfectly. Our waiter Lukasz went above and beyond to deliver us great service!

Shocking service booked table for lunch whilst in lunch hour, got put under stairwell waited 30 minutes and not single member of staff attended, it was freezing cold with the cold coming from the door we even went to the bar asking if drink orders are taken at the table or bar given we waited so long… so we got up and just walked out, doubt they even noticed that either lol… and went to a better restaurant 1 minute away thankfully had the best rump steak at Vivat Baccus instead….I will never be returning to SOS again ever!!!

We had our office Christmas and it was a good experience

We were on the rooftop restaurant and ordered a medium rare steak which was overcooked. The service wasn't attentive as we asked for water on 3 occassions. For the starter I ordered scallops had no flavour. On a positive the restaurant was in a great location and nicely presented. I prefer Zuma or Dishoom Kensington.

From the moment we arrived, the level of professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail from Maria and her team on the top floor was nothing short of exceptional. The space itself is stunning, perfectly suited for creating an amazing atmosphere for any event. But what truly made the night unforgettable was the impeccable service from Maria and her team. They were attentive, accommodating, and went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly, allowing us to focus on what we do best – bringing the music to life! We are already counting down the days until we return for NYE. If the last event was anything to go by, it promises to be an incredible night in one of the best venues we’ve had the privilege of working in. We were seen at the Lamb Tavern by Jordi for an event attended by 30 people. The service was smooth, friendly and efficient with Jordi being the highlight, humorous, energetic and engaged, he helped our event be a big success with ease. Big thank you, Jordi!

My 17 (yes, seventeen) colleagues and I booked the Xmas menu. I was sick and unable to attend but Smiths insisted on charging my colleagues for my cover. As my dinner cost me £75 and I got to eat precisely none of it, I can only award one star, and that's only because I know you can get a nice view of St Paul's from the balcony. And there's no zero star option.

Really disappointed. Regretfully I had to cancel my booking due to an emergency. Aside from having to still pay the over priced set menu price of £75 , I requested my set meal to be donated . They were unable to help , ‘not in our policy’. In an age where there is food poverty why can my meal not be donated. Poor show from an apparently reputable establishment.

Reserved a great space in a little alcove under the staircase to the first floor. For a Monday, there was a really decent atmosphere and all the staff were enthusiastic and attentive.

Music was way too loud and there was nowhere to sit. A place for a party not a quiet drink - and we were in the mood for the latter

Had a delicious Sunday lunch and our server was brilliant, so helpful and friendly. Thank you Jordi, look forward to returning soon!
