Smith's of Bourton in Cotswold

I didn't know it's advisable to book for a burger 😕 Well I understand now I'm not really a burger person the last one I had was about 19 years ago But WOW what a surprise it was delicious & the cajun fries to die for AMAZING Brilliant service 👏 👌 👍 I had chicken & hubby had a beef burger both tasty GIVE IT A GO you won't be dissapointed unless you don't book LOL 😉 😜

Amazing find in Bourton on the water a great burger restaurant and one of the best burgers we have ever had the chicken tenders were also quite fabulous everything was so flavoursome, great atmosphere and setting they allow dogs so took our fluff ball and the staff were great with him infact the staff were great overall and super friendly had a brilliant evening there 100% recommend

Quite possibly one of the best burgers I’ve ever tasted! Setting, ambiance, and service was top-notch as well. Highly recommend!

Found this place by chance whilst passing through the village (which is lovely by the way). The menu is small but has a burger to suit most pallets. I did shuffle slightly at the £14 a burger without chips price but it was literally worth every penny and truly the best burger I have had. We were a party of four and all agreed, great burgers, lovely fries and friendly, attentive staff.

Amazing burgers, seriously, I haven't had such a perfect hamburger in a while (and this includes locations like London, New York and others). The patty, the condiments, the pickle, the bun -- just wow. And as if that wasn't enough, they serve great, carefully made cocktails.

Popped in as a family of 4 for a meal. Chose Smith's based on a quick review of eateries in Bourton, not many good reviews to be found as it's a very touristy area so you don't necessarily need to be good to be busy in the summer. Between the 4 of us we had 1 Smiths Classic Burgers, 2 Hot Chick Burgers and a Burger that had blue cheese (forgot the name). We also added Standard Fries, Mac & Cheese and Truffle Fries...The Burgers were very nice, The Smiths Classic was the best of the 3 sorts imo. A nice surprise was that the sides of fries actually had an amount of fries worth the money instead of a paltry amount that's TBH is a bit of a con. All in all it was very good and served by a friendly chap (might of been the owner). The only reason for 4 not 5 stars was the lengthy wait, but that's ok because the food was worth the wait.

Great restaurant in Bourton on the Water. Fabulous burgers, so tasty and flavoursome and the homemade lemonade is just something else! 😃. Great staff, polite and attentive. Would definitely recommend a visit to anyone.

Absolutely fantastic, delicious burgers and desserts and really friendly staff. Immediately felt welcomed and comfortable. Not much I can say apart from definitely go here!

Not worth the visit. Three of us put on separate table. Two round tables supposedly set as a four. Absolutely disgusting. Right outside the toilet. Ask to move and we were told that the free table by us had a party coming in. Four people with a dog. What party? And dogs too. I don’t enjoy having my meal with dogs in the area. Then to top it all I was given my husbands burger which was high in chillie etc, even a warning about how hot it was and yet they took no care in giving the right person the right food. The waitress even said classic burger. Totally and utterly lack of attention. We are locals and always try to support local businesses. We will not be supporting this establishment again. Far too expensive for a low budget burger.

The burgers were outstanding. You must visit this restaurant if you like burgers! The menu is limited but everything was done well. The staff were warm and friendly. The restaurant decor os lovely and has a great atmosphere.

We stopped off for a little lunch today and didn’t expect to have the best burger that we have had in the UK. The blueberry bbq sauce, goats cheese, crispy onion and prosciutto topping was a game changer. The whole experience was made even better by Seb, his lovely team and beautiful decor. We will 100% be returning.

Slightly off the water front but still best to book, this is a lovely little burger restaurant, great ambiance, v friendly staff, and perfect burgers, they do beyond burgers perfectly and offer gluten free buns, very well worth a visit. If you are in Bourton don’t miss this one.
