Smash Shack Seaham in County Durham

Grease is the word. It’s like they made a burger then decided to dunk it in a vat of oil. Slopfest. DNF. You have to choose your sauce and salad with the burger, which is a trend I am not on board with. The fries were like the old king fries at BK, but unsalted. Desserts are nice.

Made the trip from Newcastle today, just to try these burgers and we can honestly say it was well worth it! Burgers and fries were unbelievable! Massive portion size also! We got two big cheese burgers and fires, halloumi fries and chicken goujons and everything was 10/10, especially the honey mustard sauce that was chefs kiss🤌🏻, matched perfectly with all the food! Burger was absolutely dripping with cheese and bacon! Also offered a doggy patty for our pup! Safe to say he was drooling over this and thoroughly enjoyed ever bite! 💙. Highly recommend to anyone!

Unreal. We ordered 2x Chicago toon meals, which is 2 smash patties, marinara sauce, pepperoni and mozzarella in a brioche bun, with skin on fries and garlic dip. Food was piping hot on collection, burger juicy and chips soft inside, crunchy outside. It was simply divine. Would’ve loved if this meal deal included a can of pop, but you can’t have everything! Will 1million% be ordering from here again in the future. For £23, this is spot on priced. Thank you!

EDIT, The food is unreal but front of house staff are absolutely clueless, don’t have a clue what’s even going on. Thank you for the reply and the first time we went we got given the wrong sources and one of the ladies couldn’t tell the difference between chilli and tomato witch i understand is just an accident but the second time we drove an hour and got told we could order at an hour later so we waited and went back in and we got told it would be another hour and a half and the woman told us she sed to order then witch see never cos we would have done totally appreciate the reply and can imagine it’s due to just opening and training staff

First time we have had food from here and we weren’t disappointed. Food arrived hot, fresh and early. Delivery driver was spot on too. Will definitely be ordering again

Wow!! I tried this place for the first time a week or two back and I was not disappointed at all. The choices of burgers are amazing and the loaded fries mmmmm!

Food was absolutely spectacular. It was our first visit to smash shack tonight and I must say I was not disappointed at all. We got the shack share box, which consisted of 2 burgers bacon cheese loaded fries chicken goujons, chilli cheese bites and mozzarella sticks. The value for money was second to none. The punctuality was absolutely spot on. The service was spot on. We will definitely returning to smash shack. Well done hats off to you 🙌👍

I love this place.. the menu is constantly updated, which means there is always the chance of something a little different, aswell as the go to favourites,if your looking for a burger you would be hard pushed to find a better one.. you can just taste the quality. If you are prepared to wait just call in and order in the shop, I find its a better experience and there is always that chance of the special. I honestly can't fault it.

Best burger I've ever had! Unreal food for the price. Got the El Smasho with the loaded fries. 10/10 fantastic.

I tried "the Nut Job" burger from the specials, and also the Buffalo Chicken Loaded Fries. It was one of the best burgers I've ever had, if you're in Seaham, passing through or live nearby you must give this place a try!

Absolutely unreal, tried this place tonight for the 1st time and won't be the last the burger is possibly one of the best I've had and I love a burger place. The loaded fries very very nice and the bacon on top just topped off the flavour. Tried a milkshake while I was waiting and that just blows mc ds out the water 🤣🤣 Very friendly staff very welcoming. 5* from me keep the quality guys and you will do amazing.

Have to give this place a solid 9 out of 10...the only reason it's not a ten is I would of liked my chips a bit more well done...dont get me wrong they were still nice just my preference...but the service...cleanliness...shop decor and food (packaging aswell) we're excellent...definitely be back because our lass has told me we will be.

Absolutely outstanding. First time we tried this and will definately be back. I can honestly say that was the best burger I have ever had and the dirty fries were out of this world. Im so impressed.

My grandmar is 82 and over the moon with this place I turned up Saturday 21st Jan for lunch timr 3pm for me my grandmar and cousin and we got 1 cheeseburger, 1 hot one burger & 1 piggy fries, the friez absolutely 💯 great, very well cooked very good taste sauces supper, very tasty. The HOt burger was hot* just as wanted very tasty, asking if we would like salad on it was very professional and given the option is something we really liked to have the option. I would recommend 👌 brilliant staff, and services and time cooked, great prices, good portion ideal for a good lunch all fresh food.

First time going, burgers spot on. Didn’t expect fries with it and just quality. Highly recommend especially the hot one.
