The smack down burger is beautiful, melts in your mouth and just cannot get enough! The sauces and seasonings are top tier, compliments it really well. The milkshakes are so delicious even better than McDonald’s! The only downside is the fries aren’t too great as they can be quite hard. Would recommend cooking less or getting a thicker fry! but are decent portion! As the partner says “damn them flipping burgers are good” ! Well done smacks 🙂

I'm obsessed with smash burgers since coming here, I cant have a burger now unless its a smash burger , the burgers are all 100% only complaint is that I asked for the kids chicken nugget meal and all it is is 3nuggets in a paper bag that is it ! And the kids meals are around 6 quid so I'm guessing they had to have made a mistake there. They never go wrong with the burgers though, prices of the burgers not bad for what you get, and friendly polite staff place is always clean, can see them cooking in the back.

Cooked to perfection. Assembley on point. Served with sauce sachet. Delicious.

The burgers are really good and decent prices, I would go here again the only complaint I have is that I paid 6 quid roughly for a kids chicken nugget meal only to find out when I got home that this so called Kids chicken nugget meal consisted of 3 chicken nuggets in a little paper bag. I'm guessing it had to be some mistake so il give them benefit of the doubt but I also know you dont even get a toy or anything with the kids meal when I asked about it, so for kids this place is probably a bit meh but the burgers make up for it imo

Your burgers normally have a good char and are juicy, today the burger had a weird smell…old meat? On the positive side your delivery was quick and fast as always

Really good customer service. Had a large order and we had kids with us. The guy behind the counter was very good and gave the kids some ice cream with our permission to keep them busy. Went back again to collect the food and this time greeted by another staff member who was energetic and cheerful. Good to see. Makes a difference.

Visited a year ago for the Food Review club visit and the burgers for the reviewers were amazing but since then the burgers just haven't been as fun, kind of wished they'd kept the reviewer burgers on the menu as now its kind of plain. Still tasty... just not as fun.

I apologise if my review offends anyone who likes this place, but it is based on my experience, and it wasn't good. It started well as we got into the shop, and the guys behind the counter waited as my wife and I looked at the menu. Anyway, we decided what we wanted and gave the order to the gentleman only to be told certain selections were not available, so we chose different items and then the option for our drinks got challenging too as from a selection of 6 drinks turned into 2 and neither would have been a choice for us but we continued with the order. My wife does not do salad or sauce so we made this clear to the gent and double checked they knew we wanted her burger plain and they pointed out that it said just that on our receipt and they would prepare it that way, thank you. When our meals were served, we said thanks and made our way out of the shop where we were greeted by a cat chasing a rat outside the door and the rat was as big as the cat 🐈 tbh it was not something you would expect so we jumped into the car and made our way home to enjoy our meals. This was not the case for my wife as when she opened her burger wrapper to a full salad and sauce selection all over her burger, we got a little angry as we got assured that this wouldn't happen so I called the takeaway and asked if they could send us a replacement so the other meal didn't go cold but to our surprise they did not offer us any sort of rectification if we didn't go back to the shop for the replacement burger. After telling them that I would return both meals when I got there so we could enjoy a hot meal together, we got totally refused and were not willing to help in any way. This takeaway will never receive a penny from ourselves, our families and friends ever again. My meal alone cost £13 and the wife's £12 And the burgers were the size of a 99p saver burger at mcdonald's with the fries 🍟 being that size too. I would advise you to avoid disappointment and hunger if you are looking to eat here.

Genuinely disgusting, they gave us the wrong wings on Uber eats, the wings barely had any sauce on them, and they were fully burnt, like coal. Would the owner feed his family the food he makes? They haven’t even picked up the phone when we called.

Just thought I would let everyone know what the level of customer service is like at the take away. 1st of all I’ve been using this takeaway for quite a while now spending a fortune every week, at the start the food was fantastic with no issues, then over the past month or 2 they started to get my orders wrong on quite a few occasions but I let it go as mistakes can happen. Then the best bit I ordered some food and they got every item wrong on the order after spending £27 on 1 order I phoned them they blamed the deliver driver for picking up the wrong bag however what are the chances of someone else ordering the exact same items as me even down to the specific sauces!! Upon me calling the takeaway the person who answered the phone gave me 2 different names to who I was speaking to and said just come in to the takeaway and we will replace the order.i went into the takeaway the next day and they refused to keep to the word and replace the order even tho I brought everything back. Safe to say I will not be using them again and they have lost a very good customer due to their poor customer service and lack of professionalism,

ordered chicken wraps and burgers, fries drinks etc. chicken burger came with wrong sauces, chicken was dry and bland, along with the batter. bun was soggy and thin. chicken wraps were as thick as 2 fingers. same as the burger, bland and wrong sauces. chips were fine. called the restaurant to let them know and they gave us a bad attitude and said "well thats how we do it" and didnt offer us any solution to the situation. no apologies at all either. never ordering again.

The spicy burger which I got was literally a fried chicken burger covered in hot sauce, that's wat made it spicy, it was not very nice at all. Also the guy put so much salt on my chips and I was very disappointed as I was trying to share with my child.

Regularly eaten from here last few times it’s gotten worse and worse the food. Just got the chicken burger meal the burger was like a rock and chips where stale. It was like the burger had been sat there all day and reheated in the fryer as well as the chips. Will not be eating from here again. Needs shutting down.

When this places first opened it was the real deal, good food quick service great milkshakes. However 2 months later I got my order and there was hair in the food, I took a photo rang the store they said they would look after me on my next order, anyways went back in for my next order and it was an absolute joke. Burger was a mess and not constructed properly, fries were not cooked either. Since then I’ve never been back and nor would I recommend it Fat twinz and house of burger are much superior quality to Smacks

Extremely disappointed as was looking forward to this after all the hype on SM. If the owners/shop staff are reading this make sure the chicken fillet is fresh and piping hot. The filet was lukewarm as was the spicy sauce. The burger should have had steam coming out of it when I took that first bite. Shame as the burger were flavoursome. The skin on fries were piping hot and quality, however, where there’s competition, that doesn’t charge for peri salt and sauces, around the area they need to dispense with the extra charges ASAP. Paid extra for the peri salt, it was tasteless. Better off sticking to normal salt. The soft drink was carbonated and was rank, again, with competition around that provide canned and bottled drink why have such a cheap option. The boys behind the counter were great, but the kitchen knowing they were giving a customer a lukewarm fillet was totally unacceptable.

Rang up tonight to put an order in for hospital staff that came to almost £90. SMACKS answered the phone with a grunt and no manners whatsoever then put the phone down when I said it was a large order. I rang back 4 times and everything they picked the phone up and put it down immediately. Eventually got through off a mobile and was told the manager had told them not to answer witheld numbers. Put the order in and picked it up, turned out a full meal was missing. To be fair the food was decent but we won't be back

Seriously over priced. As an example, they charge 25p just to put red salt on chips per portion! What the hell? Kicker is, they don't tell you until you get the bill. Average meal deal about £9. Only place i know of in Preston that does this. Paid about £50 for a family meal that would cost usually £35 for similar elsewhere. Not consistent at all. Burgers are cold. What ever you do, avoid the apple pies at all cost.

Good food, rather expensive, why charge for red salt on fries?

I am extremely disappointed and disgusted by the food I received at this take away. Not only was the burger and chips tasteless and overcooked, but I have also been struck with food poisoning after eating the downs burger meal. I am feeling extremely sick, with abdominal pain and vomiting. I cannot believe that a establishment would serve such subpar and potentially hazardous food. It is clear that the kitchen and food handling practices at this take away are completely unacceptable. I would strongly caution others against eating at this establishment. This has been a truly horrible experience and I will never be returning to this take away again.

As smash burgers go this place delivered a high quality helping of meat. Well assembled with all I would want in a simple burger. Chicken tenders were fairly average but had nice seasoning and the portion of criss-cross fries was very small. Not great value overall. Service was pretty good though.
