I had a fantastic experience at the place! Marley's exceptional kindness made our visit memorable. The "patatas bravas" surpassed those in Barcelona, where I recently traveled and was disappointed. Interestingly, I found the best version in a Catalonian town and again at Slug and Lettuce in Bournemouth. Marley went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, and I'm eager to return soon. A wonderful bar, booked here with some friends for Christmas and the staff were very accommodating. The food arrived quickly and was delicious. Good Atmosphere and cheap drinks.

We came to celebrate my friends 22nd birthday with their bottomless brunch, staff were really attentive, food was great and it was good value for money!Analise was so lovely and she dealt really well with the rude customers on a table near us, even after dealing with this table she was happy and cheery with our table. Six of us booked a month ago for dinner. When we arrived there was an empty table for six under a canopy with heaters. However we were directed to another uncovered table. We politely asked for the covered table and told we couldn't move???? I'm afraid we gave the duty manager a hard time. Anyway he decided to sort things out for us. He even gave us a free bottle of prosecco. We chose the sharing platters, one was vegan. They were great with a lovely selection. When we got the bill the duty manager gave us a discount because of the initial upset. We booked again for next week. Service from everybody was fab and we all enjoyed our food and drinks. Sincere apologies to the lovely young man from six stroppy (initially) ladies lol.

As a couple we had a walk in table from about 7pm so it was still light and quite warm. At 8.45 a table next to us(with a heater) left so we tried to move to it and the staff stopped us and told us we could move. We was freezing cold and wanted to move under a free HEATED table next to us. This table was then cleaned and given to another walk in customer, meanwhile leaving us cold and wanting to leave, i cannot understand why we were unable to move if tables are cleaned regularly anyway, leaving paying customers left wanting to move to another bar. I find this very disrespectful attitude to paying customers. This bar/restaurant would be lovely with a new team of staff.

Lovely evening, manager nice enough to give us a free bottle of bottle because of bad service. However, night was ruined by a waiter shouting across the restaurant infront of other customers that we can’t take the bottle that we hadn’t finished (which we were gifted) home with us. I felt utterly shocked and embarrassed that he shouted and made a big deal over something that was supposed to be a nice gesture. Very disappointed, was a lovely night other than the sour and rude ending.

Un miembro del personal del frente de la casa que estaba afuera no cumplió con el distanciamiento social, lo cual no sentí que fuera un buen ejemplo: tosió en sus manos y luego no usó anti bac, solo nos pasó un lápiz para escribir nuestros detalles de seguimiento y rastreo sobre la mesa, pero se paró junto a nosotros y no se movió hacia un lado. Al dirigir a otros invitados a su mesa procedió a pararse muy cerca de ellos, lo cual no era en absoluto necesario. Simplemente no dio un buen ejemplo para que se sienta cómodo estando allí.

Fui a esta sucursal para el cumpleaños de mi hermano y nos atendió el gerente Ashlen. Sinceramente, nunca tuve una mejor experiencia en un restaurante. Desde la persona que nos saludó hasta el camarero y la camarera detrás de la barra, todos fueron muy amables y serviciales y la comida era para morirse. I've been visiting this place over the last year and it's always been a consistently great experience! Whilst the faces change (not very often which is always a good sign!), the staff are always unfailingly pleasant (and have an uncanny knack of knowing what drink I'm about to order!). Really recommend if you're in Bournemouth and looking for somewhere to have a pleasant drink and perhaps a bite to eat!

Was very skeptical about visiting since I have only known the venue as Yates. But wow I was so surprised, I was welcomed on arrival, made to feel like a valued customer and had a great laugh with the bartender Annalie. And was served amazing food by the chef kamila! Popped in on a brief visit to Bournemouth after having looked at the usual scrum of people in Wetherspoons.Great friendly table service and food was delivered quickly. The quality was excellent albeit being a bit pricey. Cocktails are great, especially if you get the 2 for 1 deal. Clean and tidy and no feral kids running around.

We booked a party for my daughters 30th Birthday, and were allocated space in the upstairs function room... it really was something special and the manager on the day (Annalease?) was so professional and so helpful, and went far and beyond what we expected her to organise... would definitely recommend for a good birthday party venue in Bournemouth...thank you.

Well this was a pleasant surprise compared to the Poole branch. Staff really good and on the ball, even though it was busy. My and all my friends had a good laugh and didn’t want to leave. Recommend to all.

Slug and lettuce was overpriced and quite rude when I visited. I lived in Bournemouth for a year and am from America. I went twice and each time, upon asking for my ID, they would make comments about my country and "take the piss" out of my accent. The happy hour deals were good but after poor service and over priced food, I decided to take my business elsewhere.

Always a good spot to have some fun with your friends. Huge 241 cocktail menu, great quality as well. Nice and very friendly staff.

We arrived slightly early for our activity of Cocktail Masterclass. We were greeted by some very happy staff who had already had our area prepared upstairs which was closed for our private party.

13 of us were booked into the Slug & Lettuce for a cocktail making master class. We were all astounded by the tastefully decorated dedicated upstairs area. The table looked fantastic. Oliver the Cocktail guru made us all fee very welcome, he was very knowledgeable and friendly. We all had the most amazing time and loved every minute of our afternoon. The food afterwards was a great surprise as the quality and amounts were fantastic for our group. We highly recommend trying this as a group, you will not be disappointed. Thank you Oliver for making the Hen weekend very special.

What a brilliant activity. My daughters hen weekend kicked off with the cocktail making class and what a fantastic time we all had. I must mention Oliver who was funny, attentive and made the class what it was. The buffet afterwards was amazing and plentiful. I highly recommend doing this at the Slug and Lettuce. We done a cocktail masterclass on Saturday as part of my hen do, all I can say is my experience was amazing! Oliver was not only a great host with great knowledge on cocktail making but he was not phased by 13 bonkers women! He made it very enjoyable for us and really is an asset to your company! The food was exceptional and the bar was beautiful! Both myself and 12 others were really impressed! Anyone thinking of trying it go for it as you will not be disappointed!! Great value for money and a very enjoyable experience!!

Part of a hen do this weekend was to make cocktails. Oliver was teaching us.Now a group of girls is hard to entertain but Oliver was great he took some friendly banter and was professional all the time. We had a great time! Oh and the buffet afterwards was wonderful too! I would highly recommend doing this as part of your hen party or special birthday!

Went here for a cocktail making class as part of a hen do weekend on Saturday 28th September. There was 13 of us in total and we really enjoyed the time here. Oliver was amazing and really helpful during the class. He made everyone feel at ease and made sure that we all enjoyed ourselves. The food for the buffet was very good and was surprised how much there was ( defo more than enough for 13 people ). Definitely want to go back and even book another cocktail making class with Oliver.

Spent last night in Bournemouth and after a meal in town ended up here for a last drink. Ended up here 3 hours later until 2am! Good music, fun vibe and great staff. Especially Oliver and Kayleigh (?). Whenever I went back to the bar they always remembered what my partner and I were drinking (Double Tia Maria and Coke and Double Dissarrano and Coke) and never kept us waiting long. Really enjoyed our cocktails ;since the weather was extremely hot avoided alcohol and discovered The Pea shooter ,a grown up non alcoholic drink. Food was also delicious.

The lady who served us at the bar was lovely, we had a conversation - along with the rest of my group - about what I was drinking (Passoa and lemonade). She was also the one to take our food orders, and although she seemed new, she made every effort to find out the information we were asking of her about the dishes. All the meals looked amazing (and tasted just as good). I had the Moving Mountains burger despite not being a vegan and it was delicious. I was a little disappointed over the lack of cheese on my loaded chips, but not enough to knock a star off for. We then had cocktails (I was sad not to get the edible Sailor Jerry sticker on my cocktails, but these did say subject to availability, so it's fine). Overall, great experience.

Use to be Yates until last December 18, much improved and done out lovely , two for cocktails all day the Pina Colada fantastic in a glass and lid shaped like a pineapple.

Our stag party stopped here for drinks and fun. It was reasonably busy inside and very busy out on the terrace areas. Drinks were quite expensive and bar service was slow. If you like load music, then its a great place to go to.

Two for one cocktails - all day! Yes, that is right ... you can share it with a friend of have two for yourself. We highly recommend the porn star martinis ... they are fantastic. We also really enjoyed the English Garden gin drinks.

Came in with my girlfriend to celebrate our anniversary, I’d phoned ahead to ensure we could get a table. The manager I spoke to Oliver was great, sorted us out with a booth, some decorations and some Prosecco on arrival. Was very impressed with the entire visit and will definitely be coming back.

Nice decor, good selection of drinks and food. Conversely the food for lunch was poor, dish finger salad had old lettuce that was brown and not many fish fingers. Good place for drinks but avoid the food.

Had a lovely, relaxed Sunday evening meal with my partner. I had the B12 burger, which was a vegan option and was absolutely delicious! The tapas my partner had looked lovely, and the salad/ garnish was presented really beautifully! The service was really friendly and helpful. The bartender, Dominique, recommended a lovely cocktail on the 2 4 1 deal and her service was excellent. The waiter Morgan was really friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend as the food was really fast, cheap and tasty and the service was top! The only thing to improve would be that a few tables needed clearing, but since Dominique and Morgan were working alone and were actually very busy for a Sunday I could see why these had been left as service was their priority while people were waiting at the bar and for food. Will definitely be back when I'm next in Bournemouth

The breakfast provided by talk talk was very good there was a wide selection and the staff were very helpful and recommend this place to anyone

Coming on Fridays, they used to have 2 for 1 cocktail (not sure if it is still a present thing), but highly recommend it, they are all very tasty and subtle, so nothing too sweet or too high in alcohol.
