Sloppy's Burgers in York

Not the first time coming. A small business, but a huge passion stays at the base of it. I can't recommend these guys enough. A pleasure to come here each time :)

Came from the races after a bit of a win we went on trip advisor for a hotel and a restaurant, found both, but this one is a HIDDEN GEM !!! I thought sat nav sent us on a bum steer at first then the road opened up into a food court really, 5 restaurant/takeaways in one place, So they must be confident to locate here. We were greeted by Molly who was very welcoming and remembered our order in every detail and I am picky !!! She done mine extra juicy saucey and the misses more sauce less everything just as we asked, But better than I’ve ever tasted, every ingredient fresh every dish made from scratch to order. Every sauce handmade, No microwave here guys !!! This really was as much topping as you can handle and a bit more to take you over the edge !!! With every texture, taste and crunch Leaving you in Orr! We go here loads and it's always great. The burgers are excellent (and they also do chicken burgers and veggie burgers if you don't fancy beef) and the loaded fries are amazing! The staff are lovely and Molly is super knowledgeable about all the beers, she can definitely recommend something if you're not sure what to get. They do good deals depending on the day and the quiz every other Thursday is fun.

Amazing food and staff were very friendly. Had the burger special, crispy chicken and truffle fries. Best I’ve had in a long time.

Our daughter and son- in- law, staying for the weekend, had a takeaway and raved about it! So we booked for a Friday night and we weren't disappointed. The atmosphere is cheerfully casual, we were warmly greeted and quickly served. The beer was fine and the food just great. The chicken wings and the cauliflower made great sharing starters and the burgers are what it is all about. Will return.
