Slim Chickens Arndale in Manchester

Due to a problem with the milkshake machine, we waited over 35 minutes for 5 drinks. The person at the till didn't let us know they were having issues so we were left hanging around. Milkshakes were nice, but not 35 minutes wait, nice.

Overpriced, reheated sloppy chicken. Chips were dry and also reheated. Service was slow and they forgot my drink, staff were inattentive. Go elsewhere..

After being open for a few years you would think staff would be more up to speed at cooking/taking orders/serving food. Staff at this branch are perpetually slow and at time will have you waiting 25-30mins for your food to arrive. If you're in a rush do not bother visiting this place as you will be kept waiting. This place has 2 tills yet only one person will be on the tills taking orders. People, you're best off going to one of the surrounding restaurant in the arndale food court. If you want to waste time then this is the perfect place for you yet if you value your time avoid it! What they lack in service they make up in decor and average at best food! EDIT:- 22/02/2025 People 5 Guys in Arndale is now fully Halal. Their burgers are far far superior and dont have to wait nearly 30mins. Also, 5G burgers are customizable. Head there of you want a great burger.

Food took ages to come. The chicken burger was quite dry Ordered cheesy fries which was £2 more than the crinkle fries and it had the tiniest drizzle of cheese sauce on. Absolute disappointment. The other branches are better than this one.

Best burgers you can find! Food is very fresh and delicious, fast service. Today we have been served by Raj who had such a friendly approach and made sure we were served and we had everything we needed. Totally recommend.

Food tastes nice but portions not amazing for the price you pay Tables unclean , and service almost non existent Will not be back unfortunately .

So I went to Archies I hears about there burgers they were good I ordered the spiciest burger it was freshly made but it was not too spicy but I really like the taste and the pink lemonade was amazing the service was fantastic there thanks to Raj who work there he is really helpful and cheerful person.

I ordered a collection. Slightly cold when I received it even though I was there at the time requested. The burger wasn’t too bad , the truffle fries were missing the cheese that was meant to be included :( . The milk shake was the worst part , the butterscotch sauce on the side tasted out of date and artificial. Won’t be returning.

I came in around 8pm, from the service at the till up until we got our food was amazing. The staff are very friendly and the food was delicious.

Walked in at 8pm. 30 mins before closing and they said they won't take any orders. What's the point of leaving the doors open if you don't wanna take orders?

Today i was there with my family. We had ordered two chicken wraps, fries and drink. The chicken wraps quality and taste was very poor, especially the chicken felt like not fresh and smelly i had complained to staff member but he said i don't do anything you need to do online complained and at the end we had left the food as well. Very bad experience i just wasted my money

Hi,I was at archie's manchester arndale on monday 13th january at 19:15 with my mate. The staff was very very rude for no reason. We placed the order very politely using 'please' and 'thankyou' but he was still very rude. Please look into this.

We went early do it wasn’t to busy m, nice and quiet. The food was 10/10 I ordered peri peri burger and chips which was nice and succulent very hot and plenty of sauce and my niece had a beef burger which she also enjoyed. Raj driver is he was very helpful, polite and the food came in a timely fashion

Food is too expensive. A small portion of fries with peri peri salt more than £3. Waoo Salt was just a pinch 😀 Food was though nice hot but far expensive

A foreign worker that could barley speak English told me and my boyfriend we couldn’t sit down but then proceeded to let 10 over people be seated to eat there food then we moved and sat away from the guy and he came over and tried to take our food of us! Bearing in mind we spent over £30 so this is beyond me. This worker needs sacking never experienced anything like it he shouted in my face because we wouldn’t move and spit went onto my face before trying to rob our food of us so we ended up standing up eating it right outside whilst the guy was laughing at us and swearing and doing inappropriate hand gestures as there was kids around eating there food….

This review is based on my initial impressions, the menu and why I did not stay for anything. Firstly, it's inauthentic. It's as much as a 1980s style American diner as frankie and benny's is an Italian American restaurant. Secondly, the menu. A genuine American diner would have pig bacon on burgers, not turkey bacon. Honestly none of it really appealed to me. I think the menu needs work.

there was a guy called raj his service was 10/10 i could see a shortage of staff and he handled it by himself with little to no help at all. food came super quick and he was very friendly and i could see everyone getting their food really quick. it was supper clean aswell

Delivery: Forget about timely service; Archies holds the dubious honor of having the worst delivery in Manchester and, frankly, in any city in the UK where they dare to operate. Their drivers are consistently over two hours late. Food Quality: When your food finally arrives, if you can even call it that, it's a travesty. Soggy, dry, and cold - each dish seems to have been left languishing on a counter for hours before embarking on its journey through the cold and rain with bike delivery drivers. The lack of care in packaging is evident; the food arrives as if it's been through a food apocalypse. Customer Service: The staff at Archies seem to have been trained in the school of "How to Alienate Customers 101." They are not just unhelpful; they're downright disrespectful. Ask for a refund after receiving such a travesty of a meal, and you'll be met with smugness that would make you think you were the one at fault. Additional Insults: Don't expect basic amenities like ketchup or mayo - they're stingier than a miser on Christmas Eve. And forget about tissues; you’ll be wiping your hands on your shirt after this ordeal. Archies isn't just bad; it's an affront to the very concept of food service. Customers pay for fresh, enjoyable food, not for smug behavior served with a side of cold, soggy remnants of what might have once been a meal. Avoid this place like you would a plague unless you're in the mood for a culinary catastrophe. Total fail. Ps. Their melted cheese on top of the chips tastes like diesel gasoline.

It used to be amazing and well priced with student discount, now the prices have gone up and they’ve removed the student discount, also the quality of the chicken has gone terrible. I ordered today and the chicken had a weird texture and wasn’t even breaded properly, I told the staff and she said the whole batch is the same. So disappointing and horrible.

A very honest review nothing personal but this place is a rip off. They made it look very fancy good for them but you pay for your food not for how fancy it looks like. I paid £5.49 for BBQ cheesy bacon fries (halal). Look at the image I uploaded I dare you to find any bacon in it! 😼save your money.
