Chilled place plenty of outdoor seating if weather nice

Been to this place on two occasions now and they never disappoint. What I love most about Revolution is their DJ's choice of music. A good blend of reagae dance hall, R & B, Electro e.t.c, but the DJ could do with improving his transitioning skills. Drink prices are fair, the place generally has a good vibe even when it's not busy and the bar staff are not rude which is quite cool.

Food was freezing cold, full refund. Staff were lovely, though, and the pla e was shutting its doors the day after we ate.

Went here for a 'yeehaw' event on saturday, place was packed but such a good atmosphere, drink prices were a little pricey but revs usually is compared to everywhere else! had a great afternoon however, shame the event wasnt on longer!

On a visit to Manchester I visited this bar and was disgusted at the attitude of one of the so called barman. I won’t go into detail only to say he spoilt what was up until the point he spoke to me, a good night. He almost got a right hander from me. If you want to be spoken to rudely, go to this bar. It won’t disappoint. I’ll stick to London thanks…!

We had a cocktail masterclass with Zac, and it was 10/10 due to him alone!

Waited 45 minutes for a pathetic portion of chips that cost £3.25 . I asked 4 members of staff how long they were going to take. Finally turned up . Would have got more and better chips in a McDonalds Happy Meal!

Had such agood time for the bottomless brunch before going Nicki ,such good price for how much drinks you get and good music and they even gived us props and friendly staff x

This used to be the place to go in and around deansgate. How the mighty have fallen. Wa sin here around 23:00 and it was dead! Such a shame but it’s tired now and needs a change or I’m afraid it will go the way of other vodka bars.

Cocktail Class. With Liam and his colleague, was amazing!!! As a non drinker all aspects where covered and the vibe and energy was phenomenal, they are a credit to your team. Thanks for a wonderful experience.

Met z'n tweeën eten besteld en maar voor één persoon eten gekregen. Helaas was daarna de keuken gesloten, dus had de ander pech. De keuken kon echt niet meer open, dus kregen we de tijd om het even op te eten en te gaan. Er was een klein foutje met de communicatie van het personeel onderling, zoals ze aangaven. Nu maar een ander restaurant opzoeken!

Scamming staff when we 1st got in there my brother and his best mate got rum and coke £6 then it whent to £7:50 a lad that was with us ordered 2 shorts was charged for 3 so when he tried to tell them they have made a mistake they said you pay it or your out boncer come across and told him to get out bang out of order we will never return.

I went here for an event and it was a nice venue. Clean, wasn’t too busy. I’d be interested to see what it’s like a peak times. It would be good if there were more than two non-alcoholic cocktail options.

Service at the bottomless brunch was very good. Connor and Ashley were great with any questions and went above and beyond for us.

Had the best time at Dragaret, Callan, our waiter was the best one ever, nice, sweet and and available. I will definitely be back soon

I am disgusted at the bouncers behaviour in this awful club. A lot of students come here on a Wednesday night for social night, even though I would always choose to go somewhere else due to rumours of this exact reason I’m going to explain. I have been coming here since I was a first year at MMU and am now in my third year. I have never had a bad experience until I was approached by a bouncer for having my drink outside which without hesitation I came back in and apologised as I completely forgot it wasn’t a drinks outside zone due to chatting with my mates and didn’t clock. After this, I sat inside whilst all my friends were outside and calmly drunk my drink and was scrolling through various social media and sipping my drink. I see a stool/ seating area by a table by the smoking area which I thought was a seating area, so I sat down. To my surprise, the same bouncer which was in his right to tell me to bring my drink inside previously, has literally stormed over and got in my face aggressively to tell me to ‘sit the **** down’ and ‘^***off out of here’ whilst I’m sat silently not disturbing anyone? I calmly asked why he was shouting at me and I. My face basically grabbing me. Maybe have the same energy towards spiking and men harassing people before you use the same energy which you would use on a male the same size of you. Absolutely disgusted at this behaviour, and I will never be coming back after nearly 3 years of coming here. I have pictures of the male if you want me to send them also.

Enjoyed a cocktail masterclass lead by Connor for my mum’s birthday yesterday. Had so much fun! The cocktails were great, the games were hilarious and Connor was so helpful and informative - would always recommend, it’s a great class to go to.

I really don't know why the service has gone downhill here. We have been going for years first place we started off from getting out of taxi. We usually have food a few drinks/cocktails then move on. The last several times they have said they aren't serving food only for book-ins, this was never the case before. We thought we would give it another go last Saturday still no change and the waitresses don't even acknowledge you which is very bad customer service. This is the only bar open on that row I wouldn't be surprised if this shuts the way it is going. Needless to say won't be going back such a shame.

Was at the country and western hoedown downstairs. The bouncers we're rude upon arrival for no reason. Luckily after that we never saw them again. They seemed understaffed so getting a drink took forever. The actual vibes and music were all good however the music was dangerously loud. A few of us got tinnitus as it was so ear piercing. Can't rate food as didn't get any but I can't see myself going back.

Went for Yeehaw Barn Dance, way too busy for the size of venue, waiting around an hour at the bar to get served. My friend had his drink taken and asked where it was then clearly lying that he never ordered it, he has the proof on his bank app, he was then removed by security scum that one of kicked him several times after throwing him to the ground too. The police were called and awaiting the arrest of said scum security! AVOID!!!

I am extremely upset with my experience here last night and I am in absolute shock how the staff think it’s okay to treat people the way that they do. I would also like to point out that it was my 22nd birthday, I had just travelled back from a 2 week long business trip, and my brother had come all the way up from Nottingham. We also only had 1 drink and two sours each all night, so we were pretty much sober. First of all, we tried to order 6 shots. The bar lady went to get these 6 shots, and then held up 2 shot glasses and started saying something to us from quite far away. We couldn’t hear her so we asked her what she said. She then put her thumb up to us so we put ours up to her, obviously confused. She then started shaking her head, got quite angry, said something to another member of bar staff clearing about us and then started serving someone else. We thought she’d come back to us but then after 20 minutes of waiting at the bar for her, we thought we’d try and get another bar lady’s attention. My brother simply put his thumb up to this other bar lady to show that we still wanted serving and the other lady hadn’t served us. He did this twice as he wasn’t sure if she’d seen him the first time. This bar lady came storming over, saying she knew we were there and she thought all these horrible things about my brother because he was putting his thumb up to her. He was also tapping his menu to the sound of the music, which she said she also found offensive which we couldn’t understand. When she brought us our drinks, I typed out a short note explaining the situation and why my brother put his thumb up to her. She then got angry again and started shouting at me. I said ‘look, I’m just trying to ask you to be nice to people.’ She shouted ‘well I don’t appreciate being told to be nice to people’ in which I said ‘well no offence, but if you think it’s okay to treat my brother this way, then I will.’ The 2nd half of the night was even worse. My sister in law was dancing at an event at this revolution, and once she was finished I went outside to call her to see where she was. I couldn’t get hold of her. While this was happening, a drunk lad walked out of the bar and accidentally brushed the security guards shoulder. This security guard literally grabbed this poor lad by the shirt and picked him up shouting ‘why the f*** have u just done that?!’ He then put him down, and I didn’t know what to do being on my own and this all happening. So, I asked the security guard if a dancer had come out that he knew of. Without even looking at me he just said ‘I don’t know.’ I said ‘oh ok, well she’s my sister in law and I’m not sure where she is so..’ he shouts in my face ‘I’ve just told you, I don’t f****** know.’ I ask if I can go back inside, he says no. I was in absolute disbelief. Luckily, a different security guard that told me where the event was that my sister in law was dancing at saw this, and came out to ask me if I enjoyed the event. I said I was looking for my sister in law and asked if I could go back inside, and he said yes. As soon as I got inside I felt myself staring to cry, and before I know it I was in tears on my own in the middle of revs. I then found out that my sister in law and my brother were outside already so I went back out, and due to the staff’s treatment of me all night, I was crying in the middle of the street. This is how I spent my 22nd birthday. And honestly, I haven’t stopped thinking out it. I felt like I was absolute scum.

The place was OK but lacked atmosphere. The service was a little slow but polite and professional.

I had so much fun both times, even though I was overcharged the second time by a third party at the venue. Revolution Manchester Deansgate Locks made every effort to to correct what was not their mistake and got me refunded the full amount under 48 hours in the busiest holiday season The New Year.

bouncers are there to intimidate people rather than keep them safe, i have been here a few times and me and my friends have all been made to feel intimidated by the bouncers. the most recent time i went here (31/12/2023) me and my friends got attacked by a group of men inside the club (i am a small 18 year old girl and they was throwing me onto the ground attempting to steal my phone multiple times, grabbing it out of my hands and throwing and fighting me and my friends) the bouncers stood there and watched it happen, didnt help us at all. this place doesn't care about people's safety at all as i’ve been in here multiple times and seen fights break out. will not be returning. don’t know how this place is still open

Me and my friends was in here last night (04.11.23) and all night was just sat at a table enjoying the music upstairs having a laugh! No issues at all. May I add only 1 of my friends was drinking but me and my girl was sober. I then had no service on my phone so I popped out, I then stood on the right side of the door as I was getting service here so I continued on the phone. A short black male one of the bouncers came over with a disgusting attitude telling me to move from the area , I explained to him I’m just on the phone I won’t be a sec I’m going back in anyways, he proceeded to walk away so I thought everything was fine! He then got a tall black male bouncer with dreads in a pony tail to “move over there now” with some real bad attitude again so I did I move to the left, the shorter one (the one in the picture) then decided I was not going back into the club and pushed me, I was mortified he was pushing a 5ft nothing female (alone) out of the club for no reason, I was in no way aggressive or violent to any of these men. I then explained to him I need to get my friends out the club as I have no service and once again he pushed me, so I got my phone out and recorded him as he has no right to push me, as I got my phone out he smacked my phone into my eye. Once again he had 0 right to assault me as I had done nothing wrong. Clearly abusing his power. The other 2 in stab vests then threaten to “break my fingers” as I was gripped onto the barrier and “drop me, but it won’t be nice” . These are fully grown males abusing their power on a female alone outside of a club. Also I am sober, in no way been aggressive or violent or done anything wrong to get “kicked out of the club”. I was mortified that these men would behave in this disgusting manner as I’ve always had respect for bouncers and would in no way be seen as a trouble causer. Disgusting behaviour as the club is great lovely atmosphere and good music but due to this bullying disgusting behaviour I’ll be making sure no other female gets assaulted the way I did by these bullies and making sure none of my friends step foot in this club again. Disgusting. Follow up- Revs replied to this review to make it look like they care and would deal with this issue but when I did contact them by email I had 0 response. No email back no phone call. All clearly just an imagine to portray which in fact they don’t care and neither do the bouncers. 100% wouldn’t recommend and would avoid at all costs. Hope the place gets shut down as so much seems to happen that just slips under the net. Disgusting.

I bought tickets for New Years Eve last year, a group of five lads 23+. On the website, the dress code stated smart casual dress, no shorts. Nothing about no trainers? We were all wearing shirts and jeans with clean trainers. We queued for 25 mins, eventually getting to the front to be told by the bouncer that we were not being allowed entry due to wearing trainers. This confused me as there was nothing stated about no trainers and plenty of other people queueing (females) were being allowed entry despite wearing dirty trainers! I addressed this to the bouncer who didn’t even have the decency to look at me and proceeded to look above me to say “you’re not being allowed in”. I asked him about getting a refund for my tickets and he just said “email us” and carried on with his business. The arrogance he seemed to have was disgusting and, having read the other reviews of this establishment, it seems to be a common problem. I won’t be returning.

Asked if 20 of us could come in, but it seemed like the bouncers just wanted to exert power and say no. Four of us went in later, as we were gagging for a drink, only to find the place half-empty...avoid.

The place is great, depending who your with. BUT Be prepared to have to spend alot of money if you need the toilet Dont complain to the door staff as its part of there retirement fund

When there last night for speed dating (even though it was cancelled without anyone emailing me) the staff where pleasant drinks where a reasonable price.

I was in this establishment Saturday night for a works do. Bar staff were lovely however I was taken out of the club by a bouncer at around 1:30am and told I could not go back in. I didn’t have my phone or my coat and all the bouncers were outside refusing to let me back in to get anything. I was on my own, drunk and I’m an 18 year old girl. I was crying because I was panicking saying I need my phone to call my mum and one of the bouncers turned around called me annoying and told me to go away. Thankfully one of my friends came out with my coat and got me in an Uber home however if this is how bouncers treat young vulnerable girls I will not be coming back here. Disgraceful, disgusting behaviour.

Callan was lovely very welcoming (very embarrassing I had taped wind (burping) and he helped me not die) anything we needed he was more then accommodating absolutely lovely definitely worth a pay rise ;) xx

Terrible here. A group of 20 of us for a cancer remission party treated like trouble makers. The only trouble makers are your security. Joke

We ordered 3 different kind of hamburgers and they were all bad. Bacon and the bread are burnt and there is so little amount of sauce in each. The place was almost empty but our orders came very late. It was frustrating to wait that long for that kind of food. Not sure I will go back.

On Wednesday 11th October, a bouncer separated me and my flatmate allowing her go downstairs and refusing to let me go down as it was too busy. He refused to let her wait for me and when I said I need to stay with her he physically picked me up by my waist and moved me. I was really upset at being physically handled and him touching my waist so I asked him for his name and for who he works with, he then continued to push me and move me towards the exist of the club on my own. I was told by a different bouncer that he works for radius security (he was a tall, black male with braids in a pony tail and this was at 1am.) I was visibly upset and he refused to tell me his ID number or name and after assaulting me left me to walk home alone. Luckily some girls had seen what happened and walked me home. I won’t be returning to Revolution and I’m still upset by this experience.

The £2.99 meal deal is very good price for the food with the £1.50/£2 for soft/draught drink worthwhile. Whilst atmosphere is pleasent and staff friendly, I couldn't justify normal food / drink prices with lunch menu rather lacking.

Awful don’t go unless you 50 years of age

I was there for an event, got told to go downstairs! Well I thought I was going into a dingy dark basement. Seriously needed a revamp! Put me off straight away. Too clostiphobic! The upstairs was a bar and was nice, could do with more staff serving at the bar! Didn't have food.

An excellent range of food and drinks, including vegetarian, gluten-free and vegan options, including some very reasonably priced meal-deals. The food I ordered was lovely, and the service was outstanding. 11/10

Very disappointing will never go in again. Aggressive & rude bouncers . If you check your reviews this seems to be a common theme. Behaviour of the bouncers spoilt the night. You need to get rid of all the bouncers and retrain them in dealing with customers. A bouncer does not need to be rude & aggressive no need for there very poor behaviour

Had a hen weekend here with sip and paint and then cocktail making with Owen and Connor. Fab few hours. Everyone was lovely.

I was due to a private event of salsa, it was good. The athmosphere was good and the staff its really kind and helpfull. There was enough space and it was not fully cowded and I did love it. the place looks nice and clean. They've got tables and aswell space to be stending up.

Visited last night and had the best time. Harry and Connor were so friendly, and we had such a laugh with them. I have the hangover from hell today, but it was all worth it.

We did the Cocktail Masterclass for my sister's hen do. Rory, our host, was brilliant! We had fantastic night making cocktails, drinking shots and playing games.

We did a cocktail making session for my friends hen do and it was fantastic. Everyone enjoyed themselves. Rory looked after us and he was superb. If you're thinking of doing the cocktail session do it! Would 100% do it again

Just had an incredible night here cocktail making for my Hen do. Roary was brilliant! So entertaining and very patient with us, even after a few drinks in!

Our cocktail making class for my sister in laws hen do was great fun with Rory. Biscoff shots were lovely, chilli ones nearly finished us all off, and I made short work of my delicious cocktail.
