This place is absolutely unreal. 50% off food 6 days a week, bill for 2 of us for a full meal and drinks only came to £30. Our server Seth was an absolute delight and was so attentive and friendly. Cannot recommend enough. The food was delicious and incredibly filling! Will be coming back for definite

Throwback to a little spot of dinner in Manchester. Being recommended by a local we decided to stop in for food. It’s certainly a lively place with a great atmosphere fitting the New York bar theme. However, if you’re wanting a nice quiet meal, or some good conversation, be prepared to a bit loud. The menu isn’t massive but if you’re after ribs, chicken or burgers, then you should be happy. They offer 3 burgers with one being Cajun fried chicken and a Beyond Meat burger. Then there’s the meat trays, ribs, and wings with a range of fries. There’s a different menu on Sundays so do check it out online. I had the Maple Bacon Double Cheese Burger which consisted of a Double Smash Burger, Streaky Maple Bacon, House Burger Sauce, American Cheese, Pickles, Iceberg Lettuce served in a Seeded Brioche Bun which is unusual and Brioche’s are usually bald! Oh! Not forgetting a side of Tiki salted fries which comes with the burger. Good range of crafts beers on draught but mostly bottles or cans with most coming from the US and the UK keeping the vibe. There’s a decent cocktail list too and the Zombie Steins looked interesting! We instead decided on a bottle of Argentina’s Zuccardi Malbec which was accompanied our grub well. If you like the music and the vibe, then you should like it here. Especially if you want a good burger or tray of ribs.

Dropped in for a quick pint, felt like going for something a bit different and Chris, the bartender, helped us choose a lovely beer that we’d not tried before. The beer was lovely and the service even better. Thanks Chris <3

Always worth a visit when in Manchester. I can't help but feel that the cocktails aren't as creative as they used to be but the vibe is always great and the service is fab.

Me lo pasé muy bien en este lugar. A menudo veo gente borracha tejiendo afuera y dirigiéndose a un lugar diferente. Esta vez... Entré y compré una pequeña pero sabrosa hamburguesa de barbacoa y papas fritas recién fritas. El camarero Seth era muy servicial y ofreció un servicio cálido y poco exigente. Me recomendó buena comida. . trajo una olla de té y todo. Fue frío comer una hamburguesa y tomar un té en paz escuchando tanto hip hop de la vieja escuela como quisieras.

Went to see Slipknot the other night and came here for food. Had the pork ribs and my god they were delicious. I also had chicken tenders which were really good. Friends had the beef ribs and the chicken platter which they both loved. One thing I'd change, Manchester has some great breweries so maybe get some of their beers on tap. Would definitely come back.

A great stop at the c+g always nice to sit and watch the world go by. good selection of beer, and the foods ok. one of the better bars in the NQ.

Was looking for a place to get something to eat and drink while waiting on a bus from near by bus station. Was refused entry at the door because I had my backpack and small bag in hand. Rather disappointing to say the least.

We tried to go to another restaurant but it was too full, went here on a last ditch effort and was surprised by the quality of the food and drink, Guinness was nice which is always a bonus Had a burger, chicken tenders and chips Honestly one of the best meals I've ever had, one I will be thinking about for a long time to come! The staff were brilliant from us entering the venue and made us aware of the special offers to save us money. The food was 1st class. The drinks were great and the atmosphere is brilliant. We're definitely going back.

Visited this three-floored bar in Manchester yesterday and sampled their tasty BBQ meat tray, wings, burgers and drinks. We had the following: 》House Bones Tray | 1/2 Baby Back Ribs, 6 Chicken Wings, Smoked Pork Links, Maple Bacon, Pit Beans, Seasoned Fries, Cornbread, Pickles + House Slaw and BBQ Sauce 》Maple Bacon Double Cheese Burger | Double Smash Burger, Streaky Maple Bacon, House Burger Sauce, American Cheese, Pickles, Iceberg Lettuce, On A Seeded Brioche Bun 》Mojito | El Dorado 3 year Rum, Lime, Mint, Sugar, Soda The quality of the tender meats was on point and well seasoned. The lovely char on the flavourful baby back ribs and lightly battered wings certainly did not disappoint. The meat platter was complimented by the various sides like the addictive fries, pit beans, Cornbread, pickles, house slaw and BBQ sauce. The scrumptious Cheese Burger was bangin' with its juicy double smashed patties, maple bacon and moreish house sauce. Washed these all down with a nicely concocted Mojito and a Grapefruit bevvy. Attentive service, cosy ambiance and a satisfying feast which me and my husband really enjoyed. Please do check them out if you're in the area.

I have been here a few times over the years and always been meaning to leave a review. I have just been for lunch taking advantage of their £10 lunches & drink offer. I believe it was cheeseburger, chicken burger, half rack of ribs or 8 wings, from memory. Which is a great price in comparison to places around and it was deelicious! Highly recommend for lunch. It was very quiet as we arrived just after opening at midday, so a very fast service and great music.

The service is terrible. Found hair in my cocktail and when I took it back the waiter was so sassy.

This is a place that is a little different from other bars. It is, to say the least, curious because of the decor and the way the food is served. Although it has a welcoming and fun atmosphere, it is not very comfortable. But it gets a 10 for the food and drinks. I recommend it.

Great place in the northern quarter. Lovely beer. Lovely people. You can also sit outside in the sun and watch the world go by.

Situated in a street of many bars

The staff were great and absolutely made our visit and would make us come back again. Super dog friendly, bartender grabbed a treat for our dog and a bowl, which is just such a kind little detail and gesture that doesn’t go unnoticed by dog owners. Thanks for being awesome guys - pints were delicious too 😜

Esthetic cute must visit when in city

We spent the night at the cocktail bar upstairs. It was lovely everyone was so nice the place had a good atmosphere and the drinks were really delicious.

The food is nothing similar to the photos. Maybe years ago was nice but now is not recommended. Ribs was very dry with no sauce at all and even no hot. Spears ribs very small and we ask for the large. Is served with one gherkin and one spoon of coleslaw. Very poor. Definitely avoid the ribs only for drinks

Myself and a friend had been followed by a guy from another pub. He had been harassing us and we could not figure out how to get him to leave us alone. Staff noticed, had him removed and made us feel so comfortable afterwards, explaining that most bars in the are have the ask for Angela protocol. Absolutely love the staff and another past staff member Nadia who also checked in on us multiple times although she no longer works for the pub. Amazing place with even more amazing staff✨🤍

We ordered the BBQ ribs and chicken meat platter. As others have said, the Ribs weren't too juicy and relatively dry. More sauce is definitely needed. I wasn't keen on the bean thing you get with it, too. The chicken wings, chips and coleslaw were good. For £25, you can eat at much better places in town. It is a good place for drinks, but I am unsure about the food.

A nice place to take a break. Beer, ribs, burgers.... ideal for sitting down and chilling outside if the sun is out, surrounded by a beautiful array of street art :) Half price food on Monday! Yeahhhh 😘

used to come here for food ALL the time & it was always amazing, came today though and the mac & cheese was so bad :( it was just like watery plain pasta with no cheese. none of the staff asked how the food were either, the upstairs section of the restaurant is 10x better.

Came here for a birthday meal out with friends. Saturday night about 7:30pm -was reasonably busy , but the service was good. Food was okay, although they were out of the baby back pork ribs which was disappointing. But I guess they must be good to sell out so soon in the evening. Would come again

One of the bouncers on 16/3 was so aggressive and rude. He was there to start fights, not to be a bouncer. Been here multiple times and usually end up here by the end of a night out, never again. The bouncer started on someone in our group who was outside the premises, the person straight armed the bouncer as he charged at them which made them stumble back. He then continued to shout abuse and ask the person in our group to come back, wanting to fight him FOR NO REASON. The other bouncer on the door was telling him to stop and calm down (this bouncer was nice, shame about the other one). Very aggressive. Very insecure. Disgusting behaviour. Definitely wasn’t the first time it had happened either.

Wicked little place. With some amazing beef ribs, the mac and cheese is pretty special too. Monday is a win with 50% off food. Defo worth a visit.

We called in here on our way home. Had the pulled beef dirty fries and chicken wings. Both were very good! Also a good selection of beers! The music was good too! The venue seemed a little worn and needed some TLC!

Absolutely lovely place making great cocktails! A bit pricey at 22 squid for sharing zombi but it was very nice and theatrically delivered with fire and dusting of sparks

There's a food place upstairs. The best thing for me was the service. The waiters were very attentive and very friendly. They've got a great team there. Wasn't rushed at all. Food came out on time. Food was delicious. Some January promo on so it was even cheaper. Without the promo it would have been about £20/person or less. Cornbread was very nice

Came here by chance. We went upstairs to the science and industry bar. It looked very cool! The bartender with the tattoos and red hair had one of the worst attitudes. We came here on our late Xmas party from a cocktail bar in a different city and the attitude really put a dampener on our night. She was sniggering and judging us the whole time. We are nothing but polite as we work in the industry. We all work in a cocktail bar and have seen this kind of thing too many times. I wouldn’t mind some arrogance, but having to check the recipe for a paloma and churning out something awful whilst asking for a tip was astounding. At least be able to walk the walk. Stella coming out the wall was also a little odd for such a pretentious attitude. None of the group liked the cocktails. The paloma was like cheap puree (she only put 50ml in a highball glass), it was like tequila and soda rather than a paloma. Another colleague didn’t finish his drink either which was a shame at £11. We would have said something but I feel like trying to raise an issue with her would have created more. Shame as it looked like a really nice place. The other bartender was very polite however.

Easy little place to grab a snack and drink .

The venue was busy on the Friday night, people were ordering food, the flaming zombie cocktails are entertaining to be seen made as they torch the flammable lime halve, music was cool, toilets and decor were very unique, quite urban graffiti wall art style.

I m afraid to say our experience here has not been what we expected. There is a large sogn outside the door that says “50% off food in January”. After we sat down, we were handed the menus. After we ordered our food, we were told that they apply a “surcharge” to almost all main dish items on the menu of ~5£. None of this is disclosed on the sign outside, neither were we informed of this when we were shown to our table, or when we were handed out menus. It was only disclosed after we made the full order! We do not believe that this is good business practice as it is very deceiving. We felt pressured to complete our order despite our dismay, now that we spent time looking at the menu and choosing what to eat. I think all customers would appreciate a bit more transparency. We would have been happy to pay full price no questions asked if they did not have this sign outside their door in giant font. We can not help but feel deceived!

Staff seemed like they didn’t want to be there and felt like there was an attitude when I got served. The cocktail I got- blue Monday 88 - was absolutely vile. Nothing like described on the cocktail list and was a big waste of £11.

Last visited January 2024. Good cosy bar. Good selection of beers and knowledgeable staff to help with selection. I've been here a few times, will return.

Delicious food and some of the best chips, nice and crispy paired nicely with well seasoned tenders. Prices are a steal too.

I used to love this place but slightly disappointed this time round. The past few times I’ve had the beef ribs and bbq ribs they were so juicy, this time round it was slightly dry. Also the meat tray platter needed a bit more sauce for the amount of meat you get on it. The coleslaw and chips were nice though, wasn’t a fan of the cornbread as that was dry too.

I very much enjoyed the apple strudel cocktail.

Not bad place, nice bar staff but over supplied with bouncers which is a bit intimidating.

Decent food and beer. Good place to stop in for lunch with a wide selection. Burger was a bit dry and small in the bun for the price paid.

Good range of drinks and food. Food was a bit messy for me and I wouldn’t order ribs again. Wasn’t a fan of my smokey cocktail. There were better options I just felt like I didn’t make great choices. Nice atmosphere upstairs. Downstairs was crazy busy by the time we left!

Short beef rib on the bone nice it could be better with some extra bbq sauce, extra bbq sauce was £1.50. The pulled beef fries were good and a large size portion.

Shocking service, waited 30 mins before being asked for drinks and food orders, and after 50 mins only one of the burgers came, and had to wait another 20 for another burger. Would be understandable if the burgers were actually decent, but they were completely average. Save 2 hours of your life and £20 by just making one at home or going somewhere else.

Went in for my dinner 26 September 23 walked in and asked the lad can I have the burger and chips and drink deal £11. No problem. Food came had to ask for salt and vinegar and red sauce. The bun was tasted but still frozen. Chips were nice tho. The lad stood at is little desk and watched me all the time eating my food as soon as finished he said can you pay now as if I was going to do a runner won’t be going in there again!!!!!!!!

Seth made a fab negroni, great vibes on a Saturday night. Came back on a Tuesday and still great service - fast, friendly and clean.

Busy and unusual decor. Music, mostly alternative rock and goth/ emo on the ground floor, apologies if I am wrong on that. I am not sure. Lively mix of clientele on my visit.

Refused entry because of the colour of my skin. Disgraceful. The bouncer clearly had a chip on his shoulder.

Fab food, good prices on drinks. Staff are friendly too! If you're sat outside you can order using a QR code on the tables. Food and drinks arrive quickly :)

Probably the best ribs and barbecue food in Manchester! Big variety to choose from with generous portions and quality was top notch. Have also been here for drinks in the night and it has a chill vibe for a night out.
