Slim Chickens in South Gloucestershire

Huge tasty tenders! Wings are good but not great. Great sauces and fries. Posh kfc maybe? But defo a great chain. I've been to many and the Bristol cribbs is my fave

Really disappointing! Food was cold, chips and Texas toast was soggy, chicken tenders were small and tasted off. Overall the food (including the sauces was bland). Both me and my partner were unwell after eating a meal from here, it made us both sick and gave us bad stomachs! Would not recommend as it is overpriced, and didn’t deliver on quality. Order from KFC or wingstop instead!

I stop here most visits to Cribbs Causeway. The place has ample seating, An easy ordering kiosk where you pick a table number, the food then gets brought to you. Sure it takes away the human interaction but I get it, saves time for the employees. The chicken portions are fair and a wide range of dips to go with it. I like that you can grab a beer from the menu, if I'm at cribbs, it's usually because I am shopping and I'm not a fan so a beer just helps the process! Good place, highly recommend

Nice food and nice place plenty of seating around lunch time no real waiting but by the time we left it did start to get a little busier. A little more expensive than local chicken shops. The service was really quick pay at kiosk and the order arrived very quickly.

My chicken burger was so chewy it was inedible. There was a chicken strip missing from one of the meals, the drinks were warm and the chips were soggy spent just under £50 for food that was below average. Tried to get a refund through deliveroo they were no help at all!

Food took 25 minutes to arrive , this wouldnt usually be a issue but people who ordered after us we’re recently there food . Asked the young scruffy looking lad who appeared to be just walking up and down the restaurant aimlessly ! He said give it another ten minutes and ill check . After another ten minutes i managed to flag down another member of ask to ask about my food ! It was one chicken tender meal just to add ….. to which he looked at my receipt and responded with “kitchens busy and its a big order “ it was literally 1 meal . Food arrived ten minutes later and was actually really good ! Shame about yhe poor service. Wont be returning in a hurry.

Stopped by whilst visiting the Mall at Cribbs, never tried Slim Chicken before, so gave it a go, I had the three chicken tenders meal which I upgraded to a fantastic caramel milk shake which was delicious. The chicken was moist and tasty but the chips were sparse and I didn't like the garlic toast. I have to say the staff were excellent, very engaged and happy in the kitchen and on the servery. The choice of dips is excellent, it was very busy inside so we took our order away and sat in Greggs next door.

Arrived after driving 45 mins as my son loves slim chickens to find its not opened. We checked online and website and both stated that cribbs causeway was open until 9pm. We arrived at 6pm for a member of staff to tell me they was closed. A very upset son.

Very busy, but we like the chicken tenders, so waited. Quite heavy on the carbs, as you get garlic bread included too. It's on the expensive side for the amount of chicken you get.

Enjoyed my 3 piece chicken tender and wing combo meal! I enjoyed the tenders more than the wings - when eating the wings I was reminded that I was eating an animal, which is semi-off-putting. The sauces where really nice - the buffalo one was slightly spicy and the ranch was very cooling. Plus free wifi!

Slim Chickens delivers on its promise of fresh, flavorful chicken. I devoured the 5 & 5 meal, featuring crispy, buttermilk-marinated tenders and wings. The chicken was cooked to perfection, and the variety of sauces allowed for customization. The standout, however, was the Texas toast – thick, buttery, and utterly delicious. Friendly staff and quick service rounded out the experience. While the price is a tad higher, the quality justifies the splurge. Definitely a spot to satisfy a chicken craving.

Says it’s open till 9 on a Sunday, but turned up at 5.30 and it was closed, very disappointing

I ordered through uber eats and the food was all cold. Uber eats isn’t giving me a refund so I am very unhappy. In previous delivery orders from slims, my milkshake was missing and sauces as well. I won’t be coming back as the staff are unable to maintain warm food and pack correctly.

I came in today for a meal and I was blown away. The chicken was great quality and was served swiftly. The server I had was very helpful. He educated me on the menu variety and was very polite. He was tall and short-haired (didn't catch his name). I recommend slim chickens strongly!!

AWFUL. My burger was raw completely inedible. Had to spit it out in the tissue. Manager was extremely rude called Holly, refused a refund as I had “touched” the burger even though under the consumer rights act 2015 you the customer can CHOOSE between a refund or replacement. She said I had to have a replacement but I felt sick and didn’t want anything from there. She then kicked me out and refused to give a refund so £15 wasted. Disgusting behaviour.

No organisation when it comes to tables, people push in. The cribs branch need to do what they do in Southampton, much better there. Better places to eat in the mall because of the issues here

Went in slims tonight to get my daughter a takeaway for when she finished work. Friendly young man served me and I asked for no mayo on the chicken burger. Paid and sat down to wait. The server came and said to me they couldn’t give me it as there’s also dairy in the roll. I said oh she hasn’t an allergy but he said no couldn’t do it so I said ok I’ll just have the tenders, off he went and came back to say nope can’t do that as they have dairy in the coating, I repeated she has no allergy but nope said he could only refund. The cook came out and I politely said there’s no allergy she just doesn’t like mayo, she said no it came through on my screen as an allergy, so I can’t do it. I said ok I’ll have a refund and re order she refused, my daughter had now came in to meet me and said I’ll order it from the screen, she said point blank she wouldn’t be serving us anything. Absolutely crazy !! have to give credit to the server as he was trying to be helpful, and was also polite, the woman (cook) was rude and had zero customer service skills.

I eat out regularly, and came to cribbs store today at 11am, I just want to say how absolutely fantastic your server Emily is. Friendly, patient and helpful, she is an absolute asset to slim chicken, don’t lose her.i wish she was at every venue i ate out in!

So like everyone else my only complaint is why do you have to empty a whole bottle of salt on my fries?! How hard is it to leave the fries plain and let people put their own amount of salt. Whilst i was there today i seen people from 2 different tables go up and complain about the saltyness on the flippin fries. Just stop doiing it!

The food is too salty. specially the fries. i ordered childrens meal but the fries is too salty for my son. even the chicken tender is too salty. taste is good but it will be better if they will reduce the salt specially for the childrens meal.

What a little gem, I Love chicken. Slim Chicken is really the next level of good quality chicken in Bristol. Quick service, good value and overall nice taste to the chicken with a nice mayo gravy pot on the side. Next time I'll certainly try more. We both thought we would have a change instead of Burger's Or Chip's all the time. We both enjoyed the food and drink at Slim Chicken at Cribbs Causeway - I had 10 Wings meal and Wife had Slim's Salad, we really enjoyed it and wife was really impressed with her Slim's Salad -> Update as from 17th August 2024, it's one size cup for coke and those sorts of drinks But you can get a Refil I think it's unlimited But not sure ask at the counter

Burger just about ok, but sides Salty to the point of ruining the rest of your evening through desperate thirst. Very poor for the cost

I really enjoy the food from slims and thought I’d treat myself as I hadn’t ordered take out in a while. my carrier delivered the food still warm and good to go but unfortunately missed an entire meal (again). as this is something that happened the last time I ordered a delivery,I rung the restaurant luckily I got through to someone on the phone and the lady I spoke to was very friendly and helpful. shame that this didn’t happen this time as no one even picked up the phone it was more so I could let them know incase they hadn’t checked the other orders which seems to be a reoccurring problem.

Myself and hubby popped in here on Thursday 12th sept 2024 we went up to order and was met with an extremely rude male, he muttered something I couldn't understand what he was saying we turned around and walked out he was horrible with a nasty don't give a shit attitude so we went across to burger king to a polite and friendly service. I would not recommend that slim chickens at all!!!! Disgusting service with a really bad attitude!!!!!

Meal was missing we had to share giving it was bought for a birthday tea I'm not satisfied what we did have was nice and arrived on time but half of what we ordered on a special occasion was not what I expect and no way to tak to a direct person about this to have the missing I teams was not ideal

Took ages to arrive and then when it did arrive everything they delivered was wrong we paid for 2 meals and got one meal!! After paying over £30 and even the one meal they delivered wasn’t what we ordered I hate wings and cannot eat them

Awesome food with refillable drinks. Food are hot and crispy like fresh new look. Staff is professional. It is located in stress-free areas in bristol than city centres in broadmead and Cabot circus. It has a varies kinds of food and drinks

Dissatisfied Went today around 4 wanted to pay at till the girl was talking with a friend and totally ignored me . So i ordered at the machine. Our order was not coming for long time went to check because I was seeing the Oreo shake from our order for long time on the counter. So I ask the girl to pass me the food and she says she’ll bring it. Gives someone else an order then picks up my order takes it to the table and ignores when I ask if I can take the shake .Surprise, surprise the food was cold . I went clean a table for us to sit , cold food , rude staff pfff . This place was nice and really clean , but now…. Firstly when you go somewhere to eat you don’t want someone to treat you like this and second when you working you don’t stay and chat with friends over the counter and ignore costumers .

Ordered around 11am, then constantly using the toilet around 1pm. Staff was constantly being loud and you’re wondering is the laughter is related to what they gave you? Either way surely you’re being paid to work not to muck about! Never again.

9/10 The food is incredible, excellent and extremely delicious! The grave is the best thing to go along with their chicken and chips. There drinks are also refreshing, the ice is my favourite!!! The only reason that it’s 9/10 instead of 10/10 is because the price it a bit to steep for how much you actually get. Other than that it’s absolutely amazing!!

Although food is nice it's a little higher price the other chicken outlets. Like the service style and the unlimited drinks. Ordering is easy on the self service screens.

Went in a random Wednesday and was greeted by Courtney. We had to wait a couple of mins so she could run food which was absolutely fine by us. We had impeccable service by her. She even offered us free milkshakes for the wait which was honestly not even that long. We always get great service here and will always come back. Much better vibe than the one in Cabot. Courtney was attentive to us and was constantly walking around making sure everyone was enjoying their food. Would highly recommend! 💕

Came in with my partner as we had free meals from the loyalty scheme. Was greeted by Courtney who apologised for making us wait but it was only like 10 seconds or so whilst she served orders. When she came to serve us she was incredible, an amazing example of customer service and so attentive. We had the 7 tenders meals and the food was excellent, came out in no time at all and as if I didn’t already have high praise for Courtney, she offered me and my partner free shakes which honestly blew my mind. Atmosphere was really nice and chill. Such a nice place to come and eat. Thank you again to Courtney for your amazing customer service!!

I've been a couple of times now. I do like the chicken! I like the garlic bread you get with it.

Such a shame, come around 3.30 pm on Monday, order my food at machine, while i was going to start to fill my drink, in less than a minute I have my food on the table. Barely warm wings, cold fries. Eating them while I was looking to the wall were is written " Always cooked fresh to Order". Clearly not, false advertisement. The restaurant was empty. Such a shame!

4.2 rating are you guys having a laugh one of the worst customer service first there is no place to sit down when there’s no person on the counter when we took the food and we finally got a table. Imagine you have a family of five and you don’t get a table all of a sudden you find a table and someone come up to you. You are eating they don’t have even this much manners and they said you are sorry on the weekend. We’re not allowed anybody with a takeaway boxes. Shame on you guys Extremely shameful Service absolutely zero star will give no manners at all counter people don’t smile at all one of the worst place to eat management is absolutely zero, they just looking at you like a dummies unacceptable. I’ll start with the good. The strips were nice, fries were tasty and crispy, loved the toast and the milkshakes were lush. So many different dips, was spoilt for choice. For the bad…The wings were way too salty and it made them inedible. The mac and cheese was really bland, tasted like microwave pasta. The staff were really friendly and the food came out really quickly.

Had a really great experience with Slims this evening. A member of the team, Katie, rang and mentioned that they didn't do the salted caramel milkshake and I was offered another option. I really appreciated the extra effort the team went to.

Fast food! Order took less than 5 mins to the table and all meals come with a refill drink included.

Really good chicken here! Loved the coleslaw too. The chips are big portions in my opinion. It’s quite pricy but it felt like good quality products from my experience. I would definitely eat here again. I like that you can order things individually and share the dishes.

Beware when ordering the deep fried chicken meals that you can’t get any sugary drinks (only chemical filled zero/diet versions!)

Really enjoyed our visit to Slims, we were a group of 4 out shopping, & called in on a whim. Our server Jason was very helpful explaining the menu options & giving us advice on what to order. Food arrived fairly quickly considering how busy they were. Food was very tasty will definitely return.

TLDR: wanna be KFC, long way to go. They sell beer ! Right so it's the first time I'm dining at any Slim Chicken. I went for mix and match 3 wings 3 boneless. The boneless was very tender just right, but the flavouring was not to my liking, just bland mix of unknown substances of so called spices. The wings were quite bad actually, it was in the fryer for way too long and the flavour was.. I don't know neither spicy neither nice neither anything just tasted of burned oil The potato fries were actually very good, nice and long, crispy and the right thickness 3 dips Gravy mayo: new taste for me, gravy and mayo mix I guess, quite good actually Buffalo: very runny, no other taste than just vinegary rubbish mixed with something red? Quite bad actually Siriacha Garlic: Wanna be sweet chilli but ain't. Not as bad as Buffalo but ain't great either. Drink; Budweiser like for real?! They sell actual beer 🍺🍻🍺🍻🍺🍻 wow. As for the branch: service was very good, the lady that served the food was very nice, Cleanliness was top No a single bad thing to say about the staff. I ate at 19:00 ish so the food quarter was really busy and this place was the only reasonable amount of people for shortish serving time In conclusion: wanna be KFC but the food is NOT even close to that quality

The food is absolutely fantastic delicious brilliant best Chicken ever we love it. The courier can’t follow a simple instruction and as normal just rings the receiver an ld makes her problem yours to solve for her.

I first want to say I normally love slim chickens, but this store is not for me. The food is always cold in my experience and the service is poor. Although some staff are friendly the ones who are not really bring down the atmosphere. It’s a shame as it’s a Lovley location and has potential. The service is really what let’s it down for me.

Not sure what was going on here.. there were empty seat but nobody was greeting the queuing people to seat them, everything just seemed disjointed
