Still the best café and service ever! Totally wasted in Normanton. Haven't been for a while but were not forgotten from the way I like my breakfast to asking if the gentleman was expected today. Love it!!

This is my favourite cafe! The owner is wasted in Normanton as he is so friendly, welcoming and professional. Haven’t been for a while but still asked if I was waiting for my gentleman and if I wanted juice as usual with my breakfast. Pizzas looked delicious too.

Very pleasant and hospitable. Elegant and cultural. Feels calm and taste. I come to take a break from the rush, to get to know a different culture, because the owner is from Algeria and I am Polish. The waiter always knows what I like to drink and where to sit 🤗

This cafe is a good place to eat and drink and relax after looking at the town centre before you get ready for home, you can also use the takeaway menu for something at home only down side is that it is cash only (atm's are close by).

Eat here nearly everyday. As a fussy eater and a foodie, this place ticks all the boxes. Amazing breakfasts, and their pasta and italian food on offer are all fresh and made to order. Honestly better than most italian restaurants i have been too in my time! Great service from karim and his staff! Would highly recommend!

Hi I dropped in for a coffee and chat with a family member for a catch up the coffee was to hot that you can't drink it straight away the owner was rude and arragont won't be going there again bins over flowing out back and roadants coming out of the bins not worth its five stars.

Always has fantastic food and drink. Started doing handmade pizza an it's amazing. They do takeaway too. Owner always has a great welcome for his clients and is great with children. Highly recommend a visit!

Very disappointing sandwich, in fact so bad I binned it! I chose ham & coleslaw and at £4.50 I was expecting good things - Lovely carved ham and creamy coleslaw on a fresh ciabatta!!! Unfortunately I got the complete opposite - Dry ciabatta (the worst I've ever had), plastic ham and coleslaw, the salad wasn't any better - tasteless tomato's and chunks of red onion (yes, chunks - not sliced!!). £4.50 - Extremely over priced!!!

We visited this cafe in December for a quick sandwich, after looking at the menu and the welcome we received from the owner we stayed and had a full breakfast. Can’t fault anything about this cafe. Service was 2nd to none, quality of food fantastic, prices reasonable. We would definitely visit again

No matter what time of day you go into sliced you are always received with a friendly smile and welcome from the owner who has a real knack of not only remembering faces but what your usual order and likes are.

Really makes a difference when the customer service is amazing! Such friendly and welcoming staff. The food was delicious too! I ordered a jacket potato and tuna and was spot on. Great choice on the menu too, just enough! I would definitely recommend if you're in normanton.

Gorgeous food and lovely people. Always made to feel welcome when we pop in for late lunch etc, The Owner also finds time to chat with his customers and often knows what their 'usual' is.

Really enjoy this cafe every time go in it's on time and beautiful food. And he waiter in there is lovely couldn't ask for better at all.

The owner is extremely jolly which brightens up your day! They do an amazing hot chocolate. The baguettes are really nice and if you really want to treat yourself you can get a meal which is always delightful!

Great food, authentic dishes all home cooked and friendly service. All well priced and in a warm and welcoming environment. No wonder we keep going back for more!

i honestly can not fault any sandwich from here. However the gentleman that now owns it, is far, far too attentive! you can't get 5 minutes to eat your sandwich without him constantly asking you if it is ok. i find this rude when you only have an hours lunch and time for a quick catch up with the person you are lunching with.if it were not for the delicious sandwiches i would go in.

Came across this little café by accident really. So glad that we did. Since finding we have returned because its so good. Really nice friendly staff and gorgeous food. So far have only sampled the toasted Panini but they do offer a full range of sandwiches, toasties, breakfasts, jackets and salads etc. Specials boards offer something a bit different. Not sure how often these are updated. There is also pasta which was lasagne, vegetable and tomato pasta and spaghetti meatballs when we visited. The Panini come served with a lovely side salad and crisps. We made the mistake of ordering chips to go with our Panini which was a little over indulgent but they were nice crispy French fries so they got eaten!! Prices are good value for the amount and quality of food you are served. We both had a couple of drinks and Panini each with chips to share and it came to a very reasonable £17. Disabled access ok from main street and they are so accommodating they would sort out a suitable table. There is a toilet but it is up a flight of stairs. The whole place is spotlessly clean. Clearly the staff here take pride it what they do and how they deliver it. Would definitely recommend a visit. They also offer a loyalty card where you can earn yourself a free drink.

We eat her once a week and they never fail to provide excellent food and a very warm welcome. There's a always a great choice on the menu and they even offer a take away service when we have office meetings. It's spotlessly clean and nothing is too much trouble so many thanks!

I regularly visit this cafe and am never disappointed. The quality of food is always excellent and there is a large selection of food for any taste including children. The setting is lovely and always spotless. The main reason why this is one of my favourite places is that the staff are so friendly and always remember me and ask after my family as well as remembering my favourite food. I have noticed that the owner offers the same brilliant service to everyone who walks through the door and as a result gets much repeat business. I really cannot say enough good things about this place.

Having not been for a few month decided to revisit and guess what it's still the same top quality food coffee and service that it always had ........Had the smoked salmon scrambled egg on brown toast it was fantastic The coffee is strong but such a mild taste All in all a great asset to Normanton town centre

another reviewer has said how the owner remembers his customers. well as you know from my first review i live in Mitcham Surrey and visit my mum who lives local to sliced i revisited sliced a good 10 months later he had redecorated not that it needed it but hey. and i was alone so no reference point for him but he asked me if i was up visiting my mum. that is impressive and i have been in the catering business on and off for 30 years. btw the coffee and food are still top notch and i will be back up on 16 dec so will be calling in for a coffee. i have given top marks for value after all i have to contend with London's high prices

We were having a trip down memory lane and visited Normanton for the first time in over 35 years. Called into 'Sliced' quite by chance for a coffee and received a very warm welcome. This warm welcome was extended to all customers as they were seated. Coffees were excellent and service second to none. Called back later for lunch to receive the same welcome - can honestly say the paninis were some of the best we have eaten. Service was again excellent and nothing too much trouble. Toffee & chocolate crunch tart wonderful. Will definitely visit again, such a gem of a place and certainly a boost to the town.

Go here all the Time with my family and everytime its lovely. The lasagne is to die for the young lady there cooks it and its best ive tasted and my little boy loves it. The house special panini is my fav and I highly recommend it. They are all nice and friendly and very accomodating will get anything for u. Owner very nice and welcoming. Always very busy but served quick with gorgeous tasting food.

Really nice cafe, lovely food, nice environment. The owner is really accomadating and nothing is too much trouble. Just what the High Street needed. Lots of little touches to make a visit memorable. Will be our new local haunt. Varied menu with some really different specials each day. The place was really full when we visited which is a reflection of its popularity.

I went into here for a breakfast and it was disgusting, full of grease and everything was overcooked, my hash browns were practically still frozen, the guy was rude and I caught having a dip in the bat cave if you get my drift and also witnessed him sneezing into his hands then no sign of washing them! EW! Needless to say I didn't finish my breakfast!Would not recommend only 1 star because I have to put that as a minimum.

After reading the reviews on T.A. we decided to go for breakfast yesterday. We couldn't believe the welcome from the owner. He took us to our seats with a song in his voice! He noticed my partner reading a 2 day old newspaper from the rack on the wall and asked if he would like to read todays paper. My partner asked if he had the daily mirror to which he replied I will get it for you..He made no more to do and headed down the high steet to the newsagents and brought him back a paper! Now that's what I call service!!! The breakfast was to die for especially the hash browns. I can't see us going anywhere else as the coffee is good as well. Faultless!

Great cafe good for lunch sandwiches are really good and the main meals easy to get parked aswel use it when ever where in normanton give it a try

This cafe which is situated in Normanton High Street is a very nice cafe to eat and drink at!!! First of all it is very clean and well decorated, the staff are very friendly and welcoming, you always feel like you belong when you go there. Finally the food is absoulutly spot on and the menu offers a different range of food and drinks to suit everybodys needs. If you are in Normanton and looking for a nice cafe to grab a bite to eat from then Sliced Cafe is the place to be.

one of the best and friendliest places i have found. my mother is a regular here and took me along on one of my visits home i must say the owner is very welcoming and on my second visit 6 months after my first he remembered me. the place it neat and tidy and spotless the food and the coffee top notch better than some of the places i have visited down in London.

Come here regularly as it's a fantastic little cafe! The manager is super - friendly, charming, efficient & even remembers people & their regular orders. The food is delicious and very reasonable in price. Try it!

The cafe has plenty of seats, & it's clean. There is an excellent choice of food & drinks served, the staff are always friendly & the customer service from the Italian owner is excellent. Everyone is friendly & it's a fantastic cafe.

There is a good varied menu with fab daily specials & if you like a cake, you will not be disappointed! It has a modern decor & cleanliness is second to none. This cafe provides a very welcome boost to the somewhat limited facilities in Normanton. Taken over a few months ago from the previous operators, the new owner has upgraded the furnishings and decor. The menu and daily specials provide an excellent range of well cooked and tasty lunch dishes, including salads, pasta, paninis and wraps, as well as a great selection of cakes. The proprietor is very welcoming and eager to ensure that his customers are well served. He and his staff are very hard-working and efficient.
