The Skye Bridge Hotel is a warm hotel strategically placed between the Highlands and the Isle of Skye, so it's perfect for people who, like me, want to see as much of the area as possible. The staff is welcoming and warm, and the bar downstairs is very lively, and the locals are quite open to sharing a beer with a stranger! But be assured that even at the most active hours of the bar, not a sound reached the rooms, which are comfortable, and have a lot of natural light. Mine in particular had a nice view of the town and the mountains surrounding Loch Alsh. This place is just straight up very good, and I definitely recommend it.

The bed was very small, room not so spacious. Cleaned tho and warm. The problem was that our room was just above the bar. Very noisy. Weird people, clearly not clients were allowed at the bar downstairs which made us not feeling safe at all. We left in the morning to be approached by a drunker right outside.. would not recommend for families.

Nice little hotel with great access to Syke. The Google photos need updating at it looks much better on outside now. Note there's no food in this hotel so ensure you have a plan.

Although the sparrow is small, it has all the internal organs. Very clean and tidy. Both the staff and guests in the store are very friendly.

Good food, decent service and the rooms are basic but the shower was decent.

The sheets were not clean (they had hair). The carpet was very dirty as if they had not cleaned it in years! The attitude of personnel was great!

Unquestionably the worst dining experience of my life. Irrespective of the 90-minute wait for our food (there were 4 other tables - not busy on a Wednesday night in November) or the missing dish where we were inexplicably told by the waitress “I wondered where that was” - the “naan” was a tasteless tortilla chip (perhaps the first time the chef has made this?), the rice was hard as a rock and cold, and the sea bass was completely hammered. The curry tasted of salsa mixed with turmeric. The chips were fine. Other dinners around us had the exact same experience. I cannot emphasize this enough, eat before you get to this hotel.

Another fab time at Inshes Gate, not just the meal, but the fantastic banter with the staff. Kayleigh always has a smile on her face, no matter how busy she is, Johnny and Donald so professional, with great humour, always making time to chat to everyone
