Staff were helpful! Room was nice. Breakfast was good especially the muffins from Ruth’s. Dinner was appetising. Location was good. Bar was open. A lounge for sitting , refreshments and relaxing. I attended a conference arranged by University of Highlands and Islands. 90 people very good arrangements. The owner was keen and ensures hospitality. It’s around 15 minutes walk from the local station. There’s a car park, elevator service access for disabled people.

At first, the Carrbridge Hotel seemed promising—charming location, welcoming atmosphere, and a great first impression. However, things quickly took a turn for the worse. We waited over 20 minutes *after ordering* just to be told that our chosen starters were out of stock. Instead of offering a proper alternative, we were given the option to pick from the conference menu—essentially leftovers, presumably to speed things up. We reluctantly selected a few items while sticking with some from the original menu that were still available. From there, it only got worse. Our starters were delayed another 30 minutes because the kitchen prioritized a group booking, even though the delay was their fault. When the food finally arrived, it was a mess. The mushrooms, which were meant to be served in puff pastry, were instead dumped on a slice of garlic bread. The portion sizes were pitiful. The mains were no better. One fish dish, which was supposed to be a sauce-based option from the conference menu, arrived battered instead. Another dish was stone cold. The burger, which was advertised with cheese (a paid extra), arrived without it and was so dry it was barely edible. When we asked about the missing cheese, we were initially told it was there. After proving otherwise by asking the chefs, they eventually dropped off two cheap slices of cold cheese in a bowl—completely unappetizing. To make things worse, one chicken dish was drowning in so much liquid that it took two napkins to soak it up. To top it all off, the total bill came to over £150 for four meals—an outrageous price for such poor food and service. What upset me the most wasn’t just the quality of the experience but the feeling that my service would have been different had I announced my status. But that shouldn’t matter. Every guest deserves the same level of service, and unfortunately, Carrbridge Hotel failed spectacularly in this regard. Would not recommend.

Colin and Theresa are the most wonderful hosts, calm and reassuring, efficient, had working and the friendliest of people. We were here again for the HCTV Irish Country music weekend. The venue is perfect for these events. The meals were all varied, plenty to choose from and absolutely delicious. The service was fast and very friendly, I didn't once see a face without a smile. The rooms are spotless, beds and pillows so very comfortable and a great night's sleep. All the staff are a credit to the hotel and to Colin and Theresa, who were both seen rolling their sleeves up and mucking in. I cannot Ault anything about this hotel, the staff or our stay, and have already reserved our rooms for next year. Thank you for making this so perfect for us. Lesley, Sheena (who didn't break any bones this time) Isobel and Christine xxxx

We've just returned from the Carrbridge Hotel and can't praise it enough. The hotel is in a lovely setting and the rooms are large and comfortable. All staff were friendly and approachable with a special mention to Theresa for her kindness on the occasion of my birthday. We had an amazing stay, thank you one and all.

Booked a table for 6 o’clock on a Saturday, booking was confirmed everything seemed okay. On Saturday noticed it said they were closed on Saturday so phoned up and were told they were closed.. we had not been informed and our special occasion was ruined as couldn’t get booked in anywhere else on such short notice. Very disappointed.

After reading some of the reviews, I now fully understand the energy here. And after seeing how the owner replies to criticism — it’s clear the truth isn’t always welcome at Coffee Affair. I didn’t write this straight away. I left feeling a bit uneasy, but it wasn’t until I read someone else’s review — someone I actually spoke to in person while there — that I felt I needed to say something. Let me be clear: The man in question did not have a laptop out. I didn’t have one out either. He was being friendly, polite, and simply existing like any normal customer. He was told to put it away, and eventually he did — only to then be asked to leave, for no real reason. We ended up chatting afterwards, and when I saw the review he left — and especially the owner’s reply — I was shocked. The response was not truthful. I was sitting right there. I watched it all unfold. It’s disappointing to see a business not only treat customers poorly, but then double down and rewrite the situation in replies. Responding with honesty and humility would’ve gone further. I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who values respect or transparency.

My wife and I had a beautiful valentine's meal here and enjoyed some of the best quality food Wick has to offer, fish that melted in the mouth, triple cooked chips and a mouthwatering fudge cake. Very reasonable price, we will certainly be back again. Highly recommended!!!
